So dope to see someone breakdown B Luce's work for real! The first video they worked together on was "Ghost". It was such a drastic jump in quality that everybody started calling Church a sell out cause they figured he signed to a big $ label.

4:18 that’s a very deep hole. He has been blackballed by Nashville. At one point they had all the clubs refuse to allow him to play. So he did a video where he went to the bank and got him a bag and told mainstream that was fine he would buy out every show they did so he was the only one in the audience sitting in a lawn chair with a bottle of booze and they wouldn’t be able to play for anyone. That was like 2019/2020. They wanted to sign him so he went and took what gifts they offered and looked at their contract just to mess with them. He talks about it in one of the Hi-deas, I think it was 7. You should absolutely check out Hi-deas 1 - 10

I think you would like “Dirty South” by Upchurch. It is more rock but has a good story and the video is amazing. Also “Built like that” is a masterpiece all the way around

Everything that Upchurch comes up with but is a masterpiece. He's a genius a prodigy. He can do anything & everything. He never disappoints. He's brilliant.

Upchurch's videographer and Manager is Branden Luce, aka ALuceVision. Branden Luce, from my knowledge, came from Houston and ended up moving to Tennessee after he started filming Church's videos about 5-6 years ago. I love the video breakdown as well as just how into the music you get. I think that a good followup video to this would be "Built Like That", it is another video off the same album. That one has a whole set that was created in a warehouse for most of video, although some shots were from the house you see in the background of the Desperado video.

I love the songs Hillbilly and First Day Out. They're old but amazing vibes. From the newer album I love Flowers All Bloom. Totally different style but it makes me bop. Can't go wrong with any of his music. Peoples Champ is amazing too. Upchurch and ACal Back and forth is pure 🔥. Also cannot wait for you to check out Brodnax. Ghengis Johns one of my faves from him.

Do Ghost. It’s an older song but phenomenal videography and a perfect blend of bluegrass/country and rap. It was the first video B. Luce did for Upchurch. To be honest I haven’t seen a bad video yet. Also, you will find that Upchurch is the GOAT at hooks.

This whole album felt like a new, more mature state of mind for him. It felt deeper, more introspective than ever, especially following all the ish he went through with his Mom. And, to be fair, that wild of a betrayal could have trashed him. Now, with him back to his irrational rants and having beef with everyone that shared a portion of his journey, it's Just sad. I hope he's still got a friend who wants to get real with him. Maybe they can help him get grounded again... Before he implodes.

Ryan lives about 20 minutes from me. I'm so happy that I moved to TN almost 29 years ago.

Upchurch is from cheatham county music capital city of the world Nashville Tennessee He's an independent and so Hollywood in Nashville don't like him cuz he won't bow down I like his independent way of making music he does his own videos he does everything himself he bought Ghost Ranch . He's still a young man . Mom tried to Rob him for his money try to take control of him try to do awful things he's had people do some bad things to that young man he's only been good to people he's got a good heart but if they make him a little harder and tougher around the edge well sometimes that's on them but really and truly he loves his fans he's a good man
