I have my art-on-the-go for the month of February. I show you my what my weekends typically look like when I work in my sketchbook.
I talk about giving yourself a break when needed; what you can do on days you do not feel like creating, but still be productive with your art practice. I mention the power of balance- when producing & when not producing a physical piece of work. Also, what you can create when you do not have much time of energy to do full spreads with all the layering, etc.

I enjoyed seeing your school art room. You sound like such a caring teacher. I wish I had an art teacher like you when I was in school. When you said that file area was 16 years of your life, it shocked me. I’ve never seen what you look like but you have such a sweet, soft voice I assumed you were early 20s 😂

Hi Stephanie! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!! I wish more teachers would connect with the students- it makes the job easier & more enjoyable for everyone!! I do have a youthful voice 😆 But I did start my teaching career in my early 20s. That’s all I’ll say 😉 Thank you for watching and sharing!! 💖

thank you so much for sharing your day career as an Art Teacher! Yes, teachers are the CEO of the classroom, the manager, the supervisor, the counselor, the friend, the advocate, the motivator, the inspiration to your students, and so much more! The school district and parents and students are so fortunate to have you as their art teacher and staff member! And by the work that your students do it shows how inspired they are by you and doing their very best. It reminds me of why I taught for 27 years! 💖 I am a bit slow with my art and that is what I am working on this year to paint without fussing to much! Be a bit free !

Welcome & thank you for stopping by! ✨😊✨ I am sharing a snapshot of how I squeeze my sketchbook time with my busy schedule. I hope it helps as I give what works for me to balance life & art!! My approach is to be “gentle” with yourself & it’s okay to not produce art everyday. Also, I share an art classroom tour. It’s my work space that is setup as a positive environment!

That's cool. I took art my freshman year and we never drew anything. It was all art history and the life of the approved artists. Even though they suched like Michelangelo, davinci who never invented it designed anything, etc. The Flemish surpassed the Italians decades prior. Well maybe the Italians get all the credit Because they didn't trace while the Flemish did. Anyway, never once did we create a single piece of art.

Hi!! Thank you and that is unfortunate that you were unable to experience the creation portion of art. Our history is vital for sure, however creating is essential to the experience!! I agree about Flemish art they need more appreciation. Great point 👍
