Фил просто застрял в своих детских воспоминаниях о клипе Depeche Mode .... в нём было всё отточено за недели съёмок . А вот послушал бы он записи этой песни с их концертов , то не стал бы вести себя таким снобом ..... Одним словом - на сцене , в живую , Диана отобрала песню у Depeche Mode .... Phil just got stuck in his childhood memories of the Depeche Mode video.... everything was honed in it during the weeks of filming. But if he had listened to the recordings of this song from their concerts, he would not have behaved like such a snob..... In a word - on stage, live, Diana took the song from Depeche Mode....

One video of Diana's, in my sight, is a total masterpiece the like of which I don't remember ever seeing before in my long life. It's a must see for anyone that loves singing with unending emotion. The background of the song is essential to know. The title of the song is "Ornery (or "Fastidious" or "Finicky") Horses". The song has nothing to do with horses in reality - the horses are being used as a metaphor for life. В результате не понять то ли вы танцоры в поле, то ль шахтëры поневоле. Вообще раздражают реакции, где разбирают по косточкам, особенно так называемые тренеры по вокалу. Они себя рекламируют, а не реакцию делают. Как будто творчество и талант можно измерять и сравнивать с другим. Есть вполне себе емкие понятия "нравится" и "не нравится". да и то слов не надо, все на лице бывает написано. Какая разница, сколько октав, когда мурашки...

Diana Andkudinova has a 5 octave vocal at 19 years old. During her cover of PERSONAL JESUS she had a cold but still ended up WINNING by her peers who were also SINGERS/JUDGES who chose all her songs except her cover of this and “CANT HELP FALLING IN LOVE”. I would recommend her performance on the MASKED SINGER…a person named “KOR” has provided a clip of her “SWEET DREAMS” …you don’t have to be concerned about COPYRIGHT or being blocked. THE SHOW itself has blocked the episodes in her COUNTRY. Many coaches explain that singing in a whisper is very difficult. She has been performing in smaller venues and singing live concerts since she was 5 yrs. old. The vocal coaching was recommended by a physician in order to facilitate her speech. No other female can sing her contralto low notes but recently her divine high notes are STUNNING. I’ve been a fan for approximately 5 years now. Thanks for sharing your REVIEW.

Записывая такие реакции, нужно прежде всего разобраться, с чем вы имеете дело. Они как будто ожидали услышать кавер на хорошо знакомую песню "Депеш Мод", - но получили нечто совсем иное, - и почти разочарованы. На самом деле то, что мы видим - это не кавер, а вокальное представление, в основу которого положена знаменитая песня. Если вы не способны воспринимать шоу, - а это именно шоу, - то и всё дальнейшее имеет не слишком много смысла. Но они, судя по всему, не только не поняли, что перед ними шоу, - они и вокальную партию толком не расслышали. Здесь намного более сложная аранжировка, более сложная вокальная работа, нежели в оригинале - и я не верю, что кто-то способен её адекватно воспринять с первого раза. Мне, например, потребовалось около тридцати прослушиваний, чтобы разобраться в том, что именно нам предложили. Диана Анкудинова с Александром Стёпиным сделали - уже не в первый раз - очень сложную вещь, - потому что они предпочитают именно такой подход к работе с подобным материалом. Это не трибьют группе "Депеш Мод" - это успешная попытка продемонстрировать все возможности артиста: создание яркого визуального образа, движение, взаимодействие с танцорами, полностью оригинальная вокальная партия. Могла ли она сделать более-менее чистый кавер, близкий к оригиналу? Несомненно, - как и в случае с песней Элвиса Пресли. Её вокальные таланты позволяют сделать это вполне убедительно. Это было бы любопытно послушать - но это совершенно не годилось для шоу. А чтобы лучше понять, как звучит эта кавер-версия в чисто музыкальном смысле - нужно послушать сольное представление в клубе "Гнездо глухаря" - там вся их работа проявлена более наглядно - и звучит, на мой взгляд, ещё более впечатляюще...

Михаил, художнику такого уровня как Диана Анкудинова, скучно и неинтересно делать точные копии, он должен создавать свои уникальные и неповторимые творения! Если мне нравится оригинал, то я и буду слушать оригинал, если я хочу получить эксклюзив, взглянуть на старые вещи по - новому, насладиться этим- я буду слушать Диану.

The song itself is very complicated. I'd even say I don't understand what it is about. Both original versions are not convincing. Manson's cover is more convincing but/and heavier. Diana's interpretation is more human (earthly), more female, more theatrical. It's like a small theatrical play - which is her distinctive personal style. To me it's more convincing than Manson's one. In terms of musical genre I guess this could be called a rock ballad (which is close to both sympho- and folk-rock). Vocal is powerful, flexible, versatile, rich in intonations and tembre, very precise in details.

Speaking only for myself, I am old enough to have heard the original. At its release, I hated the song from the beginning. Do you understand? I have never liked the song. For 35 years, I hated it. I can listen to Diana perform this song. For me that is a victory, for her. I won't rate this performance, according to your system. I'm neutral about it. It's not my favorite, of hers. But, for me, it's better than the original.

I also know and have always liked the original but I also love Diana and it's kind of like the difference between S&G "Sound of Silence" and Disturbed. You kind of have to think of them as different songs in their own right. I like this!
