You have just heard & seen the tip of the iceberg with these guys! Home Free is an amazing Acapella group. Everything you just heard is straight from their mouths! No instruments needed! Adam Rupp, the beat boxer, calls the harmonica the nomonica!

Tim Foust is the bass - with 5+ octave range. Austin Brown serves as high tenor, Rob Lundquist (beard) is their tenor, Adam Chance (called Chance to avoid confusion), and Adam Rupp is the beatboxer (freak of nature). Teach of them can do lead although Adam prefers to beat box. ALL of them can beatbox. During their Canada tour last year, Chance got COVID and they split up his parts among the other four. Then Tim caught it and Chance took over Tim’s part and Chance’s parts were filled in by the other three. If you listen to Listen to the Music you can hear some eerily high notes from Adam. If you’d like to hear songs with no beatboxing, just to hear the five-part harmonies, take a listen to How Great Thou Art, Helplessly Hoping, and Brothers in Arms. They do all genres. To continue the country vibe check out their 2 Johnny Cash covers: "Ring of Fire" and "Folsom Prison Blues". Then their collaborations with Kenny Rogers on "Children, Go Where I Send Thee" (monumental southern gospel) and with Texas Hill and the Oak Ridge Boys. Another collaboration: "American Pie" featuring Don McLean himself. Both Kenny Rogers and McLean asked HF to work with them. "When a Man Loves a Woman" is one of their epic Covid-era videos. Their covers of "Blue Ain't Your Color" (Keith Urban) and of "In the Blood" (John Mayer) are unforgettable.

Adam Rupp is known as the man who swallowed a drum kit.

Adam Rupp can sound like a drum set. He did all the sounds except the mouth harp. That was Adam Chance, called Chance to avoid confusion with Adam Rupp (same first name). Adam's harmonica sound is called the nomonica by the fans (known as Home Fries). . Each of them will sing lead with the exception of Adam Rupp. He prefers to beatbox, but has sung accompaniment on some of their songs.

No instruments, only their voices. These guys are head and shoulders above Pentatonix and other acapella groups. They are all down to earth and their fan base is far and wide. Tim Foust is a bass, not a baritone. He regularly hits a G1 in chest voice. His lead is in the low baritone range but then he immediately drops an octave for bass support.

Hahaha Adam the beatboxer was doing the harmonica with his mouth. Home Free is an a cappella band…so no instruments. Adam was doing the drums, harmonica and other sounds. Chance, also in the back, was doing the mouth harp. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range. They are the real deal. They won season 4 of the Sing Off. Super talented men. This song is over 100 years old but was made famous in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou. Lots of renditions. I think this is a more Bluegrass style. They sing all genres of music. They sing a lot of covers but also write and sing their own songs. Newest one they did with Texas Hill has piano and guitar in it called Giving Up on You. Or try End of the Road.

This is a great hole to go down including some of their solo works, I live in the middle of nowhere and it took awhile for them to get within 2 hours of me so I could go see them, I was lucky to get tickets before they went on sale to the public, Will go every time they are near. It WAS ALL vocal produced sound. Check out their cover of “End Of The Road”. They do ALL types of music. If you want to prove Adams “Monica”, check “Ain’t goin down till the sun comes up”. You can see that there is no instrument other then his voice. Adam Rupp does sing in some songs, but mainly does the back up rhythm.

The word you are missing is bass, he is not a baritone. The a capella world actually has a lot of bass singers by comparison to other genres. And yes, this is completely a capella, they do this live in concerts

Hello gentlemen. Nice to meet you. Please allow me to give you a couple quick notes about Home Free. 1) All five can and do sing. The beatboxer (Adam Rupp) is the only original member of the group left. It was founded in 2000 by Adam and his brother Chris who you will see in older videos. (He is usually wearing a hat of some kind most often a cowboy hat). Adam does sing on occasion but is most often doing the beatboxing. All the members sometimes beatbox In performances. Adam is from Minnesota. 2) The lead singer for this was Austin Brown. Originally from Georgia, now lives outside Nashville. He sings high tenor. 3) Guy with the glasses is Rob Lundquist. Sings tenor and is considered by the other members of the group to be the best singer in the group. Rob is from Minnesota. 4) The bass singer (you said baritone which he can sing by the way) is Tim Foust. Originally from Texas, now lives outside Nashville. Tim has an incredible 5 octave range. He can sing from extremely low (he has blown out speakers) to high tenor. In more recent videos he has shorter hair which is starting to get some grey in it. 5) The kind of ‘quiet’ member (in this song) is the baritone Adam Chance. Because there are two Adams in the group he is usually called Chance. Originally from Alabama, he now lives in California. Chance sang bass in his last group (joined Home Free in 2016 when Chris Rupp left) but has a 4 octave range so can go from bass to tenor. He was doing the sound of a mouth harp in this song. To answer a couple of other questions: they are a cappella. They do sometimes work with other singers and often then you will see instruments. They usually all try singing the song they want to cover and decide among themselves who is the best choice. They are as far as anyone has heard the only a cappella country band in the world. While they are labeled as being a country band they cover all styles of music. They competed and won season 4 of the series The Sing-Off. Videos of them on that show are on RU-vid. They have an incredible sense of humor which shows on some of their songs. And they can move you to tears with others.

They do a cover of Ring Of Fire by Johnny Cash featuring Avi (he was still with PTX). They shift lead around depending on the song and who they think sounds best fir that particular song. He beatboxer, Adam Rupp only did one vocal solo that I'm aware of and that's in How Great Thou Art. He'll do harmony but he doesn't take the solo spotlight unless he's doing vocal percussion the majority of the time.

You'll get your socks knocked off with their rendition of End of the Road (Boyz to Men).......Man of Constant Sorrow goes back to 1913....Adam Rupp, the beat boxer DOES sing as you'll see in the cover Helplessly Hoping...(Crosby Stills & Nash)...For their humorous side....Butts Remix/Medley, Hillbilly Bone (my fav)....Champane Taste on a Beer Budget (an original)....The beat boxer, Adam Rupp, is best, IMHO, showcased in the Drum Solo that's readily avail...(the one where he's wearing a red/white flannel shirt).... Now onto the "Third Rail"....PTX and HF.....I too started the acapella journey with PTX but they were immediately replaced with HF when I stumbled upon them about 5 years ago....Probably equally talented but the difference I see is the dynamics within each group as far as cohesiveness...My view of PTX is that Scott, Mitch & Kirsten are the core with a few add-ons....It probably also doesn't help that Scott & Mitch also started a joint group called Super Fruit....and here's the gas on the fire: also enjoy an alternate sexual orientation....With HF, ya see a bunch of fun loving guys that really blend with each other and additionally sing really well..Let the flame wars rage! They all take turns leading on vocals with the exception of Adam Rupp (the harmonica/beatbox guy). Adam sings just fine and you can hear him do a sweet tenor when they sing 5 part harmony, but he's shy and doesn't like to talk much or to be featured as a singer. Even Adam Rupp who started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to go solo but also to start other projects with his sister, among others. Adam Rupp-Beatboxer but is actually an inhuman freaking good mouth artist. Tim Foust- Deep bass but also as a tenor and everything in between is possible. Austin Brown-High tenor with his great runs and high notes. Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses)-Tenor, with a voice like velvet and so much soul. Adam Chance (back left, who is called Chance) - Baritone/ Bass, a voice so smooth and sexy. And who here also makes the Jaw harp sound. There is no lead singer in Home Free.
