Rosaka, Sakura Garden. That's our 3rd AND 22nd stop of the incredible journey across Marblearth and Marbula One! The 2022 Marble League champions Pinkies host the third GP of the 2023 season of M1. Uncharted territory for everyone as the track is newly paved and no one has ever raced there!

I agree that the track is pretty good. And they even namedrop some features from historic Fuji Speedway to go with the Sakura theme: the bankig and Hairpin Corner. Gotta love that attention to detail. This new track is a winner for sure, and I hope we will see it again. So Pinkies, you better perform well this season ;-)

Awful second sector by Mallard doomed the run. Unbelievable that all six marbles after Mallard beat his time. 11th isn’t the end of the world. It looks like there could be a lot of action in the Grand Prix and hopefully Mallard can navigate the chaos and claim a podium! Go Green Ducks! 🦆

At the very least, the Ducks historically are really good at navigating the lap 1 pack to get good early positions even with a bad qualifier. Here’s hoping that happens this time!

Mallard has always put on a decent show even if he doesn't feel comfortable with the track. He still pulled off 5th position when he ran, just sucks every marble after him was slightly faster. GO MALLARD!

@@wcdc-worldcupofdiecastracing No, bad choice to replace Yellow Eye. Blue Eye is clearly one of, if not the slowest marble this season. Dead last in two qualifiers, 19/20 in a race. You can literally see other marbles pulling away from him the moment there is some separation within the pack. It's frustrating.

@jc3drums916 I doubt blue eye has much experience in stamina races compared to 4 year m1 vets who are better at stretching out energy I also think it could be a strategy among cce to conserve energy for the race rather that going for pole which can be tiring and doesn’t give to much of an advantage which they might calculate as being outweighed by conserving energy

I do question some of the camera choices, like watching only Speedy for the last 5 seconds of the last lap when they were clearly far ahead, instead of seeing how the rest of the pack would even out in those last crucial seconds. Glad the Hazers and Galactic will be starting up front tomorrow.

Bro the savage speeders are by far the best qualifying team, so far they have gotten 2nd, 2nd, and 1st in qualifiers, truly an amazing performance.

Speedy gave us all a masterclass in 3-lap sprint racing today. Started P8 but wisely kept out of trouble in T1. Beautiful switchback in T2 with great traction and exit speed to take the lead from Razzy. A small mistake into the last turn left them both side by side on the belt. Razzy got the jump in lap 2 and Speedy unfortunately understeered into the side of Razzy. Racing incident IMO, and the rest was history.

That was a hell of a start out of the gate on Q2 for Speedy, wow! And thank you very much Razzy for that assist on Lap 2 ;) My prediction is that Pinkies will win this though. I think all the preparation and training theyve done will come to a peak here in the GP debut of their home track

Getting a smooth line through that hairpin is going to be crucial. There were a bunch of marbles that bonked off that thing and lost all their momentum for the final stretch.

I haven’t watched marble runs for awhile. I see a lot of new names (especially in the first 10), but it’s great to see my team still going so strong! Quasar you really are an amazing marble! I hope Starry is well too.
