It says "among" not "from the type of" or whatever shamsi is claiming. if Allah swt is pleased with them all why does groups of sahaba end up in hell according to bukhari? Wasnt Allah pleased with them all? Why did Sahaba hate, curse, fight eachother according to ibn Taymiyya and others, is Allah still pleased with them all? So sunni understanding of the verse is completely wrong.

He who comes to me will drink, and whoever drinks will never thirst again. There will come to me some people whom I will recognize and they will recognize me, then they will be prevented from reaching me. I shall say: ‘They are of me,’ but it will be said: ‘You do not know what they introduced after you were gone.’ So I shall say: ‘Away, away with those who changed (the religion) after I was gone.’” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (6212) and Muslim (2290) In another version of this narration the prophet says some men. It also refers to those who commit major sins (not only hypocrites and apostates that the Shi’a believe). This is the purely linguistic sense of companionship; it does not mean that they deserve the honour of being called companions of the Prophet, because the definition of the technical term Sahaabi [companion of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)] is not applicable to these people. It’s not referring to the muhajireen, ansaar and those who accepted Islam before and after the conquest of Mecca, since Allah promised all of them Jannah in the Qur’an clearly across MANY verses. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, of what you do, is Aware.” (57:10) Shi’a can’t bring a single verse where SPECIFICALLY Allah said that the companions (muahjireen, ansaar, those who accepted Islam before the conquest and after the conquest) are upon falsehood, cursed, hypocrites and going to hell. Allah SPECIFICALLY praises the companions. For you to refute that, you have to bring SPECIFIC verses mentioning that they are upon falsehood, since it is know that something specific is not ruled over by something general. Rather the Shi’a, they bring ambiguous and unclear verses to back their beliefs which goes against the principles of the Quran as Allah says the following; It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muḥammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. AS FOR THOSE IN WHOS HEARTS IS DEVIATION [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding. (3:7)
If you knew Arabic, you’d know that مِنَ doesn’t have one usage and using a translation to support your point doesn’t mean anything, the Arabic Quran has been translated slightly differently by different people. There’s other verses which promise all of them paradise.

This is a clear example of the universal being mentioned with the intention of the specific (al-amm orida bihi al-khusus). In the sahih hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash`ari (radiyAllahu anhu) as reported in the sunan of al-Imam al-Tirmizi and other collections the Messenger of Allah ﷻ said: كل عين زانية Every (kullu) eye is fornicating Although the word kullu (كل) is mentioned which denotes universal inclusivity, the eyes of the Prophets (alayhim al-salam) are categorically excluded from such forbidden glances in accordance with the belief of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama`ah that the Prophets (alayhim al-salam) are all m`asum (infallible). This is another clear example of the universal being mentioned in the sense of the specific.

In this hadith the salafis intepret it as meaning all innovations are haram based on their literal understanding of "كُلَّ" . whereas orthodox sunni muslims say kull refers only to those innovations against Quran + Sunnah so that is why orthodox sunnis commemorate the birthday of the Prophet (peace be upon Him and His Family) whereas the salafis consider it an innovation.

Lineage/Genealogies of the Nobles (ar. Ansab al-Ashraf)), he was attacked with poisonous arrows while urinating either by Abu Bakr or Umar, or both, for refusal to acknowledge their usurpation. Even Sahih al-Bukhari, in the narration above, mentions that the Ansar accused both Sunni “rightly guided Caliphs”-usurpers of killing ibn Ubadah, for which Abu Bakr mockingly replied that “Allah killed him”, the Leader of Ansar, the man who fought alongside the Prophet in the battles of Badr, Uhud, siege of Nadir, the Trench, and the siege of Khaybar.

The verse refers to true believers only In this verse Allah says مِنَ ٱلْمُهَـٰجِرِينَ وَٱلْأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِإِحْسَـٰنٍۢ Allah uses here مِنَ means from among the Muhajiroon and Ansaar not all it is quite interesting that all Scholars agree that Imam Ali(as) and Hazrat Khadija were the First to believe in Prophet(saww) and Support him, 2nd one And those who who followed them in goodness we have to look if they were pious and did good deeds, we have to look Martyrs. A full 1 hour conversation and the shias could not answer where to specifically follow alhlulbayt in the Quran. The quran debunks shia ideology, alhamdulillah for islam.
Hadiths, hadiths, hadiths not is something that shamsi rejects like a quranist. The prophet said in muslim thirmidhi and them say Quran and the Ahlulbayt

I saw one comment on his RU-vid upload of this debate, in which the person says how 'there is no English translation of the Qur'an'. My question is, is this simply a low iq larp, or is it actually in line with Shamsi's own mocking of his opposition for not knowing Arabic properly, which may imply Shamsi has his own sectarian authorized translation into English?
I think I can explain this with a simple example... Let's suppose a classroom of 100 students give exams and the subjects are Arabic, History of Islam and Fiqh. Out of those 100 students 20 got good marks in Arabic, 20 in Fiqh and 20 in History. Now the teacher asks the students "THOSE OF YOU STUDENTS who got good marks in Arabic, stand up" or if i rephrase ("ALL THOSE OF U STUDENTS who got good marks in Arabic,stand up")... Only those students who got good marks in Arabic will stand, not all the students obviously.... Similarly Allah in that verse says... "ALL THOSE OF U MUHAJIRUN AND ANSAAR WHO FOUGHT AND DONATED BEFORE THE VICTORY OF MECCA will get the highest reward with Allah" (and not every Muhajir and Ansar)

Answer: The Holy Qur'an has divided the Companions of the Prophet into different categories, and it does not matter whether someone is a Badri or a non-Badri, believed before Hudaybiyyah or after Hudaybiyyah, before the conquest of Makkah came among the Muslims. or after the conquest of Mecca. Therefore, the real faces of these groups have been mentioned in the Holy Quran as follows: 1. The famous hypocrites (Surah Al-Munafiqun, verse 1). 2. A deceiver and a cunning hypocrite (Surah Towbah, verse 101). 3. Patients with hearts (Surah Ahzab, verse 12). 4. Those who listen to the words of the enemies who spread fitnah (Surah Towbah, verse 45-47). 5. Those who do good and bad deeds (Surat al-Tawbah, verse 102). 6. Apostates (Surah Al-Imran, verse 154). 7. Except for the believers, those who have been accepted (Surah Hujarat, verse 14). 8. Mawulfah al-Qulub (Surah Towbah, verse 60). 9. Fasiq (Surah Hujarat, verse 6). 10. At the time of war, those who turn their backs on the disbelievers and run away (Surah Anfal, verse 15-16). These ten groups of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cannot be considered righteous and pious, the verses praising the righteous and pious are also not included in them, otherwise there will be a contradiction in the meaning of the verses. The Holy Qur'an has informed about the apostasy of a group after the death of the Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): And Muhammad is only one Messenger before whom many Messengers have passed away. will not harm anyone and God will soon reward the grateful. Although the tone of the verse is describing a condition (If the Holy Prophet dies or is killed, will you return to Jahiliyyah?) and the conditional case does not indicate its occurrence. But the subject of the verse describes that among the Companions of the Prophet of Islam at the time of the revelation of this verse, i.e. in the battle of Uhud in the third year of Hijrah, there were some people whose speed and actions indicated that it is possible that the Messenger of Islam After his death, he became an apostate, so why is it possible that all the Companions of the Prophet even consider those who participated in the Battle of Uhud as equals? Whether those people believed after the Battle of Uhud or even after that! If these verses are combined with the verses praising the believers, the interpreter can reach a clear conclusion and that is that some companions of the Messenger of Islam (peace be upon him) were righteous and some were not righteous. He typically debates shia layman who aren’t Arabic fluent speakers, and uses there weak Arabic to make up Arabic rules that don’t exist to make his point.
The Arabic language is very complex in certain situations. I can understand why Shamsi will pick up errors and try correct them because the other person is saying things they don’t fully understand. We are talking about religion and the afterlife here, the most important thing to us. All due respect, but many Shias turn up to Hyde park who don’t speak Arabic & try to debate those that understand Arabic. It’s illogical!
@@projectedthoughts6046 the problem with that eventuality, is that unless one is a fluent Arabic speaker, whether native or taught, one cannot really understand Islam. It begs the question: what religion really is it which more than 80% of the Muslim world today, that isn't of Arabic descent, follows? And Shamsi himself would most likely answer "innovation", but that effectively means writing off centuries worth of history in lands which clearly claim Islamic heritage. On the other hand, if knowing Arabic is in fact required to follow Islam, then it cannot be spread to non-Muslim foreigners easily at all.
