Hurkacz is awesome when he hits aggressive and attacks. With his power he should end points faster. I guess easier said than done. He lets his opponents back in the rally when he just gets the ball back.
Still hope Hubi adds some variety to his game - endless topspin rallies + serve are not going to take him to the top. He seldom uses his height to power any advantage.
I agree. He should at least add slices , some chop shots . But since he is the best server in the world ( according to ATP statistics for 2023 and I am serious ) he got so comfortable that he got a bit lazy with developing additional skills .
This is good for RG, bo5 is different, many have won two sets, and lost next three, especially if he meets Djokovic, in the early rounds, lets see how the draw pans out.
Indeed ! Hubi should hone his skills to play more aggressively to finish the points rather than indulged in prolonged baseline rallies. GramSlams are best of 5 and Hubi is not the fittest nor fastest for such exchanges. Hubi should be developing better slice approaches with depth-pace to facilitate his charge to the net. And with his wide reach for volleys and height, it will be tough for opponents to pass him. Wimbledon is Hubi's best chance to win his 1st Slam. Being such a nice person, Hubi should ask Federer, Dkjokovic or Becker to validate this.
