@Marek Petrnak Exactly. We both have roughly the same population under 6 million and still we compete and keep winning the big boys because we love hockey :) Congrats on bronze and slafkovsky is something else amazing future star.

We are perfect example that population size doesn't matter. Slovakia was excellent in this tournament. Your coach said in an interview that there are lots of young talented Slovakian players coming in the future tournaments. Slovakian icehockey has a bright future ahead. I remember early 2000's when Slovakian team was loaded with NHL superstars and was a threat to anyone. I hope you guys can produce more talents like Juraj Slafkovsky. He will be a superstar in the NHL. He reminds me of Mikko Rantanen.

Yeah. We have so many silver and bronze medals and this was our first olympic gold. This same trend is in world championships too. 3 gold medals and 9 silver medals from IIHF tournaments and 2004 World Cup silver can be added to this list. Silver has been our color so long.

In WC Finland won gold 3 times. 1995, 2011 and 2019. Many many times also silver and bronze medals.
