Apologies for cutting off a lot of the bottom of the cards...also, please keep in mind this was only my second submission to PSA and have learned a bit more about the whole process since submitting.
Dang they slammed you with 7s. Glad you got the 10 on Goocherov. Maybe invest in one of those magnifying glasses on the arm and pair it with a strong light when you're reviewing your submissions before sending them out - haha 😆
You should try TAG !. At least you can see why you got the grade you got!. And they also don't upcharge you high end cards because you get a 10 in their slab!. Great video!
How is it ridiculous when you can't even see the card up close and it's on a computer screen. Nevermind the fact that the surface grading requires a specific angle of light to see it..
You need to use a loop that will magnify the corners,/edges then turn the lights off and use a lamp to check the surface, using the lights reflection, both sides. Be very critical of the card your examining, do all that and that could reduce ur PSA 6-8 results
They come down on the new cards because they most likely see millions of them every month. More examples, more data. And if people don't like the grade well...they can always buy more product/singles...and send them in for grading.
i know PSA is the go to, but this is why i go with Beckett. so when they grade it i know what was causing it to drop. feels like with PSA if someone has a bad day they can just be an ass and just give a bad rating.
23-24 S2 YG quality is terrible. You can almost find corner issues on every single card. Back, bottom left is the most likely spot you will find the problems. Then there is the front, top right edge fiasco. Gotta be super super picky on those.
My bet is if some were cracked out and re-submitted they'd get a different grade. I'm convinced it's a finger or thumb print knocking some down a grade.
Thanks for the video, enjoyed as always. This is definitely what terrifies me about submitting to PSA. Maybe some of those truly are 7's, but why? Keep up the great work!
@DarinRoche-xm4on Canada. I dropped off cards with PSA Canada at a show, cost for this batch was $28/card (approx US$20). They upcharged on 2 cards (+$60) for a total after shipping & sales tax, to approx $2600.
