As a coffee aficionado and to be specific in this instance, a certified cappuccino junkie myself😁i realized in most of your videos that you’re a coffee Connaisseur , so how about i buy you a cup of cappuccino... and I insist 😁. so carpe diem , carpe coffee! as we always kid. Tongue in cheek.🙏🙏🙏
Hahahaha Karl thank you so so much for the super thanks and the coffee. It really is a pleasant surprise and that is very generous of you! I’m actually drinking hot chocolate as I type this because after two cups of coffee today, I cannot possibly go for a 3rd 😂😂😂. Now, I’m super pumped to finish editing the next one. Thanks for the boost!!!
You have been to the really Kenya, a lot people jet in Nairobi feed and kiss a giraffe and fly out,. What makes Kenya is the small towns with all trappings of urban life but still connected to people in the rural areas, places like MMTC, Kakamega, Eldoret, Kericho and Naivasha. I was born in a village in Vihiga county on a farm but I was within striking distance from Kisumu, Kakamega and Eldoret.. We the Luhya people are honored by your visit to our villages and you and Lizzy will always be one of us.
Very good review of Mombasa what you missed out on was eating the snacks they make on Mama Ngina Drive like cassava crisps, roasted cassava and sweet potatoes, potato crisps etc while enjoying the breeze from the sea.
Thank you Maureen. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed this video. Ooo, I can imagine! I wasn't really looking out for food, so I didn't really notice the vendors. I love cassava and sweet potatoes so these sound delicious!! 😍😍😍
I just came back from mombasa after not visiting for over 10 years and i must admit the place has changed so much, it`s interesting I did not even know Kisauni, the place I could not mistake are the pembe za ndovu. Thanks for sharing, it`s a pleasure
Your videos are so entertaining. You have such a great energy and the content is A1! You’re also beautiful and your outfits are so well put together! Keep exploring and sharing with us! 🤍
Hae , we love that you like our country. Make a trip to Watamu and enjoy the white beaches ⛱ . Its really beautiful out there. May God be with you during your stay in Kenya.
Mutombo you have sold the idea of Kenya to me and hopefully to many others as well and i bought it wholesale. Also I love the hat you you bought, its color and for 4$, it’s definitely a steal. Make the most of your trip!
Phew, I was anxious for y’all as you rushed to catch the train! 😅Glad you made it! And I picked that hat for you. Glad you listened to me! 😂 Mombasa looks like a city rich with history and culture! And beautiful scenery! Thoroughly enjoyed traveling with you, Mutombo!
We made it in the nick of time! Hahahaha thank you for your choice. I’ll soon start rocking it in Douala. Disturbing tha peace and blocking the road 💁🏽♀️🤭. Mombasa is really beautiful 🏖️
Let me correct a few things. Kiswahili is a Bantu culture and language. The influence of Arabs, Persians, Indians, Malays, Javanese, Chinese, Malagasy, Portuguese, British, German is minimal and doesnt exceed half the percentage. Kiswahili is 93% Bantu language. Also Mombasa was built by local Swahili natives. The contribution of foreigners is often overstated. This problem arises because some Swahilis now pretend to be of foreign origin after adopting those religions. Kiswahili is not a creole language but Bantu that is lightly influenced by Asian and European languages. Any random person from Southern Africa can understand more than half of Kiswahili vocabulary. Originally the language was called KiNgozi so Swahili is an exonym
My comment was very similar to yours, but admin blocked it because i don't see it. I actually liked the video and posted positive criticism. Admin probably glanced at it and thought it was negative. It's good to put the true African history it its correct context because we've been often miseducated by our school curricula.
Thank you Dume, I appreciate the info and corrections. They are very much welcome here, not only for me but for others who may be going through the comments.
@@henrym1157 hi Henry, I did not block your comment - I actually didn’t see it. I’m open to critiques as long as they are not rude and from the sound of it, yours was not rude. Maybe, it was automatically flagged and held for review (that happens if certain words appear in the comment) but I’ll check this evening and if that’s the case, I’ll make your comment public. Sorry about that.
Yeah lots of Arabic influence unfortunately the more Arabic influenced a family is the higher they were in the social hierarchy in these medieval towns.
Oo i didn’t know that… but I guess it kind of makes sense based on history. We Africans somehow were convinced that the foreign minority is superior even in our land. Thanks for this nugget of info, Lugaritz.
😂😂😂 it’s in my birth certificate, National ID card, in my passport, on my degrees… so yeahh it’s my name 😂😂. I know what it means in KiSwahili 🤭🤭. It means “the power of innocence” in my village though.
