Old nylon stocking (panty hose) will polish up candles and get stuck on stuff off of them. It can make a candle that has a damaged finish look new again. Love your ideas. Great video.
@@tiffanygemmer-DIYdesign I tried Krud kutter and it worked after letting it sit on the candle for about 10 min. Good luck. Will try pantyhose. Thank you Rebecca!
The Toy Room is beautiful! The wooden shingles, mail holder, chalk board, & the toy holders from Amazon are just beautiful! I love the sweet wreath you added! Your children will love this area so much! Great room!🥰🥰
Tiffany Gemmer, you are a real gem. The room is perfectly perfect and the wallpaper isn’t too bad either!!! Your creativity and ideas are super and your execution of the is wonderful. Bravo to you and your blessed talents. I also love your radiant red hair. We have Ginger’s in our family. I enjoyed your tutorial.💕♥️❤️💘💕♥️ wallpaper wasn’t bad, either! I love your ideas, creativity and your ability to end up with something
Thank you so much! 😊 Being that I don’t have a team helping me, the unfortunate reality is that it takes time for me to create quality content for you all. From the shopping, to the projects, filming, editing, and all of the other things that come along with content creation, my upload frequency depends on the scope of work for each video. I truly appreciate my faithful friends here on RU-vid that continually come back! Thanks so much for your continued patience, support, encouragement! I appreciate you all so much! 💕
What a great idea to put the galvanized container in the lacy white container! Silly me, I thought that the varying gray colors in the tray were going to look bad...but...it's fantastic!
What a lovely thing to do for your kids. You're a very sweet mum. If you had a roll up camping mat in there, I bet they'd love it if you laud down with them and read with headtorch at night.
Tiffany, your children will remember this special room you made them forever. Is darling and so well done! When my middle daughter was 4, I’d collected as many single mattresses as I could safely stack and made her a “Princess and the Pea” bedroom. That was her favorite book. I made a different floral or pattered cover to go around the mattresses and only had to fully dress the top. There was a ladder she used to climb. She loved it and still talks about it 36 years later. These special mommy moments always matter! I wish we could have seen their faces! Great job on everything! I enjoy your channel and all of your projects!
Ok first off when you said you were doing a mini makeover I wasn't expecting a literal Mini room 😂😂😂😂 I died. It turned out so adorable. And that wallpaper patch looked amazing. You did great. And all the other finds ❤ amazing. And I too buy holiday decor anytime I find it at the bins. Also florals are a buy for me from the bins to stock up my stash. I love watching you because you are so creative with you choices. Thanks for sharing and I'm still chuckling about the mini make over 😅
Amazing how you made such a nice patchwork wallpaper wall. It doesnt show and you were able to utilize the leftover scraps. What is the saying??? Necessity is the mother of invention. All of your projects came out wonderfully ❤❤
Only ever papered one wall ever. Used the tutorials to do it. PREPARATION is essential - don't take any short cuts. It was an old wall & still had patches of the original wall paper when the house was bought which was lovely to see how much styles had changed. Better to buy the proper equipment no matter how small the job is. As a beginner I found a PINK WALLPAPER GLUE which is so much better to use as you glue the walls so it cuts out tressle tables or requiring cutting surfaces. You can see where the glue is & the wallpaper just goes straight up on the wall & it's so much easier to re-position if needed. The glue dries clear. Saves having to fold the wallpaper. Even though this is decor on a budget & a small job not in a prominent place ALWAYS have enough wallpaper. Maybe pick a wall & make it a feature wall & leave the rest painted or paint it in a contrasting colour. Or as you did & add storage, pictures etc. to them. You've some lovely ideas 👍🙂. Regards 🇮🇪
Hello,,Tiff I have been patiently waiting for you I kno u busy but I'm so excited to see what items u find to turn them into beautiful decor ty for your valuable time and effort to show us all to explore and expand of minds....😊
You are one creative and visionary when it comes to your finds at the bin. Be far you are my most favorite video! Two thumbs up ! You forgot to say how much you spent at the bins. I guess your cost of the makeover was your expense.
Always inspired with your eye for diamonds in those bins. I’ve been lucky in Olympia but I am going to trudge north in the next few with the daughter, and her truck (just in case). We were military for years and were either in military house or a rental…boring beige walls for miles. We moved into a rental where we were given free rent (3 mos in the 90’s) in exchange for the cleanup of a hoarder, just stuff not filth, thankfully. It included removing the wall paper and other small repairs. As a young lower enlisted couple, we jumped at that. We couldn’t paint anything but your typical antique white, which the landlord actually did supply a 5 gallon bucket to get a whole house refresh. I was dying for some color so my mom suggested painting the wallpaper in a few areas. I had to readhere some of the vertical seams, then painted our girls room and daddy even did a fairytale mural. 2 years later, we then removed the wallpaper and freshened the walls. I’ve done that in numerous other homes since then with super cheap ‘vintage’ goodwill or yard sale finds. I think the key is a nice long ‘booking process’ so that the paper really adheres to the wall and takes on some of the knock down texture, that and using an eggshell finish paint really helps hide that flat papered look that can happen. I have a navy accent wall in our current rental foyer with a herringbone pattern done with 1/8 in gold foil tape. It was mid COVID and I needed SOMETHING pretty to look at and do! 😂 She’s getting ready for a refresh using wallpaper for actual wallpaper next month. Giant florals!
❤Hi Tiffany! Sorry, need to catch up on your videos, We have been doing a lot of summer things with family! As always you did not disappoint! I so look forward to every video. So many wonderful ideas. The playroom is outstanding! Thank you for taking unwanted things and making them beautiful! We all need to have some Tiffany spreading sunshine!
Hi Sherry! Thank you so much! 😊Summers sure do get so busy (thus a break in videos for a bit). I appreciate your sweet encouragement! I hope you’re having a wonderful summer! 💕
You did it again, Tiffany! Great video with so many fantastic ideas! Love what you did to the play closet! I know it will be played in a lot and enjoyed for many years! ❤
I can't imagine anyone being more qualified to give a wallpaper tutorial, you finished that last section like an absolute PRO! Awesome job on the toy/play room it looks incredible. And your videos are so relaxing, I can't miss one! We'll done on absolutely EVERYTHING!! ❤
I love how you still make the play room still decored like the house and, organize it with baskets. When my kids were little I used the recycling bins you could buy with the lids, I cut out pictures of toys or what went in there from magazines, taped over the pictures with packaging tape. This helped keep the play room cleaned up some even with the younger boys.
everything turned out so nice! the playroom is adorbs! I am so daunted to try and wallpaper! The gal that I work for is wanting me to paper her front bathroom, and I have really stalled on it! you definitely made it look easy! thanks for sharing! xoxo
It sounds as though Goodwill Outlets vary quite a bit from store to store and even from day to day! If not a Goodwill Outlet, I hope you’re able to find a good source for great deals! Thanks so much for joining me here!
Your Goodwill Bins have so much more items to upcycle then I've seen in a long time. Love the updates in the kids play nook. Did that for my boys when they were little in an area similar to yours. They loved it. Have a wonderful week.
Girlfriend - we need to get you some new paint brushes! 😂 Love your channel, your ideas, and your sweet demeanor. ❤ I’m still stunned at the incredible items your bins have. I’d need a van to get it all home!
I run the candles under hot water and rub them with a textured wash cloth until they are clean....the hot water melts the wax just enough until they soften and the debris comes off easily.
