We're back with a new episode.. new challenge! Let's see how well the producers do in the "Headphone Test". Head over to thehouseofbeats.com to join the movement!
I'm loving this content!!! love watching stuff like this and you guys make it so professional looking! keep up the awesome content. look forward to more
In case you didn’t know if you mix in headphones make sure you use open back headphones because they reproduce the sound the way speakers would vs closed headphones which make sound seems like it’s coming from inside your head... I just learned this a few months ago
Y'all shoulda just played Dillah joints for the whole show hahahahahaha. Naw I love this show though man, keep it coming yo this is great for those of us who REALLY produce.
@@maschinemasters Off top. What you guys are doing is pure and I love it. Wish I could be apart of it to be honest, if only to have an expert ear critique my work and ability. Thanks for the show. :)
Dope episode, i think Dre got this love how he tryed to make it his own with the delay on vocal part and his mix. To me when you get and Enginer that trys to make the song better along with what you hear to me is a good Enginer.
This show helps me discover my voice in the industry. A couple years back I went to djing school to learn the craft. It was amazing but after I learned it I knew I was missing something. I wanted to actually learn how to craft the beats verses mixing songs. Finding this channel has help me get better understanding. I am looking forward to getting more out of this part of music.
Glad to help spark a new interest! Good luck on your new musical journey. Thanks so much for tuning in! Please continue to like, share and comment to help us grow the show!
Summarized version on what Don P did that TFO capitalized on: the way she panned the drum rolls were good, but that snare could have been bigger with the high-hats and stuff on some parts. Jedidiah, his snare had too much Delay and Reverb, yet it was good that he did that kick and the rest of the mixing with putting a Crunchy Drive with Compression. Now, when Dre Love did his with the Reverb and Delay, it fit PERFECTLY with the brass and vocals as well as how he panned it with balancing and compressing. But I do agree, though- FaceTime calling or whatever during presenting a project to someone is one of my pet peeves as a producer. Dirty Snares, I LOVE what he did it with the punch, far as tuning up the snares and Low End. Shout-outs to Maschine Masters for this show. Also, shout-outs to Dirty Snares, Jedidiah, Willie T and Dre Love for the inspiration on this one.
Salute to you for your participation week after week! As always, thanks so much for tuning in! Please continue to like, share and comment to help us grow the show!
Imo The Mixing Challenge Was DOPE & Those Skills Are/THAT SKILL IS Imperative.. I Dig Your Approach & Mindset Putting These PRODUCERS To The Test.. Salute Pham.
another dope show...mixing is sometimes difficult..I'm still learning but I think I got some of it down and mixes are decent...dope! I was rollin' when Dre got that facetime call...that joint was funny...but his mix was dope..
Great episode! I was rooting for dirty snares in this one bc of the past few episodes..he was hitting them hard with those 🔥 beats but never the less, love the show. Very challenging
Dear Maschine Masters, Love this show. Don P is charming. There are some good souls on this earth, he is one. I hope you are going to do another season, and many more. I would like an opportunity to propose a challenge for a show next season, I'll sponsor it. It will be a passing of the torch from the 808 and the 303 etc IMHO. Big words, I know. I've got a synth that is not known (only a handful were made), that is beyond comprehension. Not some big modular or classic synth etc, nor some Eurorack components stitched together. It sits so well in this genre its beyond silly. Basses so big that there will never be a challenger. I've heard all of them, and own most. Proof is in the sounds. I can even play it over the phone live and you will know, there will be a new holy grail. I'd like to use it for a challenge on the show, and the winner gets to produce a sample pack with the sounds created. This would Include a drum kit, with a signature kick to be named after the producer. I would want it to be marketed in collaboration with Machine Masters etc. Let's all make money, and probably history. Reach out if you are interested, and we can communicate offline. Regards.
Don P is good people! Feel free to hit us on the site. Thanks so much for tuning in! Please continue to like, share and comment to help us grow the show!
I always wait for the next episode 😂 I think it’s a dope show man. I would watch this on Netflix. If you guys ever come to Chicago I’d like to know!! 👍🏽
One thing I learned in the music game. Dont ever follow anyone elses style or technique ever...because billions of beat makers and you want to stand out..specially when you creating a new wave....to many people sounding and mixing the same...it will crush your sells.
I went thru this. From mixing in various headphones in fear of how it would resognate live on a stage at a coast to coast competition. Best feeling when the crowd of competitor feelin it.
Creative challenge/test! My opinion is TFO took this IF she had Jebediah's snare. The show is becoming more and more popular, I'm hearing alot of cats out here talkin about what they would and wouldn't do lol. Overall I enjoyed the sense of professionalism each producer showed when put on the spot especially Dirty Snares was a G for that move he made under pressure, peace and blessings....
Love it. Headphone mixes are tough. The kind of headphones kinda matters too. The flatter the response of headphones usually the better the mix but this was dope man!!! Keep it coming!
I feel like you could've gave them a selection of 3 different beats to mix rather than just the same one over and over. Interesting concept for a show though.
I think it was good that they mixed the same record, that way we could hear a clear difference between how a mix can drastically change a track. If it would have been different tracks each time, we wouldn't have been able to tell the difference accurately.
This one was very entertaining to watch. I enjoyed that. Don P, I'ma get you right bro. We gon' talk. You were a good sport in this episode. Keep it up bro!
I wish i coukd join this show but at least i get to learn from each episode. I also wish i had a Sub pack haha, that be dope but anyways great show and the beatmakers/producers are all dope. Im here to support, listen, & of course to learn🙏
Glad to hear you're learning, everything else is a bonus! Thanks so much for tuning in! Please continue to like, share and comment to help us grow the show!
your mom I’m Native EVERYTHING til the death................. Native instruments maschine is NOT a Daw. You can’t record a full vocal into it. You can but it’s you gotta do a lot
Exactly! Maschine is NOT a DAW. It is a production suite very similar to how Reason started out in the beginning before they added audio recording in version 6 which was basically just them marrying Record 1.5 and Reason 5 together.
lol....I'd love to work with the legendary Talib Kweli! Shout to Black Star, Brooklyn, Queens stand up!!! I'd love to one day be on this show!! Great one as usual! I've noticed starting out that no one put emphasis on mixing like you have...I've always believed that you have to mix your music the way you think it sounds best! I never thought there was a "one-sized fits all" approach!
this was a dope challenge !! mixing is a challenge for me so is cool to see others have the same problem . now time to continue working on these mixes!
It's a great skill to have as up coming producers. Keep working and as always, thanks so much for tuning in! Please continue to like, share and comment to help us grow the show!
Dope episode as usual guys! Been a emcee for years and while I had a somewhat of a understanding of beat making, this gives me a whole new outlook and respect for all producers. I told ya'll before that I'm gonna invest in getting equipment this to start producing. This jawn is very intimidating seeing and hearing everything you guys do, but I'm definitely doing it. One more thing, I wanted to get maschine, but after that competition should I start with Logic??? Great show guys
It really comes down to workflow. Find the piece that allows you to get your ideas out the easiest and then you can build from there. Thanks so much for tuning in! Please continue to like, share and comment to help us grow the show!
I made a beat and the bass was booming on my studio monitors. Took it to my car and it was like someone stole my sub. What's this dam tapping on a box shit. I'm arresting you for impersonating a producer 😂 When OG LOC calls your shit wack😂 Machine Masters speak the truth and thanks for the videos.
I'm loving the idea behind this show and what we're seeing from all these producers, but I only have one critique...we're talking about mixing, but the level of dialogue vs music is killing me. That said, I can't wait to see how this whole thing goes.
Maan..... First.. This beat is ...... D.O.P.E I definately like it but the concept of mixing..... Genius !!! Good job ! Because it's not just about mixing.. It's about sharing the same langage and this cost time when you're not able to communicate with your partner because he or you don't / doesn't master the words and the concepts. ;) !
