The legend of the city of Ys has been handed down since time immemorial, and was only put down on paper at the beginning of the 17th century. Transmitted mainly orally, there are few written records, but many different versions. And it wasn't until the early 20th century that Charles Guyot brought together all the legends and traditions surrounding the sunken city to write the book of the myth of the town of Ys. Celtic legend, Christian tale, presence or absence of the princess Dahut (or Ahès in other accounts), there are many different versions of this story. I've decided to tell you Guyot's story.
