The main goal of the Utrecht Pride foundation is to increase the visibility of LGBTIQ+ organizations, large and small. By means of a boat parade through the Utrecht canals, the foundation want to show LGBTIQ+ people that they can be proud of who they are and who they love. With the parade the team hope to increase not only acceptance, but also the emancipation of LGBTIQ+ people.
Through cooperation with local entrepreneurs and the open nature of the boat parade, the team want to connect with the Utrecht population and all visitors to the parade. We are proud not only of the LGBTIQ+ community, but also of the city as a whole and we celebrate that together!

"De stichting Utrecht Pride heeft als belangrijkste doel om de zichtbaarheid van LHBTIQ+ organisaties, groot én klein te vergroten. Door middel van een botenparade door de Utrechtse grachten willen we LHBTIQ+’ers laten zien dat ze trots mogen zijn op wíe zij zijn en van wie zij houden.
