🐍📚FLORIDA KINGSNAKE: Care and Info with Pharaoh Gayles (P.W.K. Season 1 Episode 3)🐍 

I’m looking into purchasing a male mosaic kingsnake but I’m not sure how much space I would need. Would a 20 gallon terrarium be okay?

Hey what's up man I'm getting a Eastern king snake is this habitat going to be more like this Florida kingsnake or is it a little bit different you have any advice for me this my first snake and I just want to be perfect for it I have a 20 gallon tank I got the forest floor bedding what type of light do you think I should use are you think I should use a heating pad for him how do I keep the temperature at the temperature that he needs all the time?

Cool ,,,, man I believe my FL king snake would of grown to that coloration ,, I believe I had the exact same species but it was at the eating pinky mice stage ,,, the colorations were those yellows purplish with some oranges with the black ,,,, I believe I had the exact same species. What a GREAT video! I love the the enclosure, but especially the King! I have one male cornsnake about to turn 1 year old. I plan to get 1 more snake sometime next year. I've made my possibility list at least a million times, becuase I just kept researching and I couldn't make up my mind. Another corn snake would be great....I love my little corn! However, I was thinking it might really be nice to do something different, so it will be a rat snake or a king snake! By the way, your Florida KIng is simply beautiful and I love the pattern on its head! Thank you again!

My speckled girl is 2 years old and SPICY, she rattles that tail and occasionally strikes out but never bites. Even on good days she will still musk like crazy and then poop on me. THEN after all that and she realized I'm not there to hurt her, she will chill out and I'll let others hold her. Will she ever get over this behavior?? She also will not feed during the day, we have to put it in a bowl and turn all the lights out THEN she will eat. xD I love her but MY GOSH she is dramatic

I got an albino king but I’m having a little hard time trying to differentiate if it’s a Cali King or Florida King. Any tips? As far as the temperature in the enclosure, I’m getting an overall 86F (81F on the cold side and 88F on the hot side) is that good?

My Florida kingsnakes name was Chucky.named him for Chuck D from Public Enemy 17 years

Had mine for a few months now he’s about 18 inches long. I don’t see enough videos about this specific kingsnake but I love mine. Even as a baby, he eats good EVERY time, he likes to be held, when I first disturb him he wiggles his tail at me and then I put my finger by him and he wraps his tail around me so I can pick him up. I added a little moss as I live in a 0 humidity area, and he sheds wonderfully with a couple mistings a day. He’s very intelligent. I adore him.

Great job, Mr Gayles. You did the species justice. IMO one of the best pet kingsnakes anyone could have. One additional point - They will eat too much and get fat, which is really unhealthy and wasteful. So the keeper has to control the amount of food such that the snake maintains the appropriate body mass. Even among kingsnakes as a whole, these things are on another level. They make Cal kings seem picky. Seasonal binges are just fine, but not all year long.

Beautiful!!!👍🐍 I have a male aberrant Cal King that's almost a year, and I have him since he was only 7 weeks young. Care is pretty similar. As just the Florida Kingsnake needs more humidity. Also kingsnakes are very hardy. But because of the really wide range of California Kingsnakes, I guess those are more adaptable, to a little bit cooler and so on. I think you know what I mean. But I always heard that Cal Kings are more nippy than other king species. I disagree. When you have a baby you just do handling sessions and keep doing them because it's fun and the snake doesn't see you as a threat anymore. And he's a very good boy my Ziggy, he definitely knows I have a big role in his life, and only wants to be handled by me, I can stick my hand in the tank and he crawls on it, never musked, or bitten me. If someone else would do this then he would rattle his tail and eventually tag(saw this with my grandma). It's not weird that because I care for him alone and am busy with him a lot, so he knows that. So snakes are not dumb like many people think. I love him so much!👍🐍🤩

I have had a Florida king for about 2 months and he is about 6 months old and I think I keep a good temperature gradient around 75-80 on the cool side and about 88-90 on the warm side, but at night time it drops down to around 65 on the cool side but the warm side stays the same. Is the temperature something I should worry about at night time?
