I've always loved this song but never heard the extended version. I like that it gave you more time to showcase the beautiful bond that Nathan and Elizabeth have created between them. Bet you if Elizabeth knew what Lucas said to Nathan she would dismiss him quick. I think it would be easier for Lucas to move on than Nathan. Lucas has not professed his love. Nathan can’t hold it back any longer. Is it just me or does Lucas seem to try and buy Elizabeth’s affection? Fancy this, French that, flattering, etc...that’s Lucas. Nathan has a genuine love for her and her well being. There is only one thing better than a man that wants to pursue, protect and provide for you. An His name is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
If Elizabeth knew that Lucas went behind Gowen's back and sent for his son to spy on Gowen for him, she would not like that at all about Lucas. Lucas is a manipulator. He uses his charm to control people and situations. Think about the conversation he had with Carson in the saloon.
Thank you for all your great videos. Season 8 has absolutely been the most painful and disappointing series of WCTH. After last night's episode, I was just heartsick that Hallmark thought it was ok to drag the Team Nathan fans thru the muck and keep giving us hope only for Elizabeth to choose Lucas at the end. It was so disappointing! I hope they enjoy their ratings this season because they may not ever have them again. Your videos gave us hope. I will watch season 9 unless Hallmark starts with the divisiveness and foolishness again. Thank you for hanging in there with us!
Considering last season Erin and Kevin fought for a ft clay storyline which in my opinion has actually increased over the past few episodes the size of team Nathan I think it’s for a simple reason that she will be with Nathan. I think it’s why continuously Lucas hasn’t either stepped out or Elizabeth chosen Nathan yet. I think it’s why Lucas says he only wants her happiness. I think it’s why at the end of 2 we see E tell Nathan that she couldn’t lose him the way she did Jack. If that’s not love I don’t know what is. I think that it all had to come out the way it did so that the secret couldn’t play out later, that it would help her realize who had her heart and that by not following it she was losing it anyway. I think she also misses Ally too and the hurt she has caused her. I think the fact that Nathan continues to give her space at great pain to his heart will play out. I think she is beginning to see Lucas will never have her heart especially after the hand game, her talks with Ned and Katie, the forgiveness between them of ft clay, I’m curious if she walked home with Lee and Rosemary, Bill or if Lucas tried. Maybe she even slipped out and walked herself home so wasn’t there for the toss? Maybe Lucas thinks she walked home with Nathan and so seeing Newton outside really shook him.

@Royal Masterpiece!! Thank you! You and I think alike and firmly on "Teacher & The Mountie" theme! Like this show so much because it was the way the orig book was written by Janette Oke! She's amazing - the Mountie toy in Elizabeth's home and lil Jack playing, also signifying that. It can't spin out as modern story to have the saloon owner as the lead, Elizabeth is just like Lucas in her old life, rich and affluent, left her Hamilton to be a teacher, as her calling, make a difference in young kids lives! However I do believe HM can continue to tell & include other stories like, new characters ie Canfields, new guy Christopher and Gowen, Rosemary & Lee, now, J & C , Ned & Flo Carson, Bill n Molly and Faith and on and on....but not to detriment of the orig lead roles! ...why WCTH resonates with lots of people around the world/heartwarming stories and life changing with the spiritual & moral values! Saw E 10 just now, appears that E starting to realize where her heart is truly is...hopefully, with her true love one, who is patiently waiting for her to accept his love. Even if one will lose out this gent want E happiness enough to perhaps allow E to follow her heart. Now out n move on. Per Erin said, both will still be in HV and one will take it like a champ..& .maybe they'll all become friends!! Too bad some fans are so caught up between their faves, and are deciding to stop supporting this show!! I am for HM all the way continuing WCTH TO more Seasons up to 15 !! or to 20 if Lord willing! Bring on Season 9
@@shoregirl4733 Yes, S11 has been the best. The only good things in S8 was Allie and Bill going to Nathan's defense when their was the mountie inquiry into the prisoner transfer that went wrong and that sister of the prisoner shooting a mountie and he died. Hargraves (not sure on the spelling) was blaming Nathan and wanted to end his career. I think later in S8 is when Nathan adopted Allie. Otherwise, the writers totally beat up Nathan continously in S8 and S9.
I don’t know how the writers have chosen to end this triangle, but I can say that, based on the way it has been written since the Nathan and Lucas characters first appeared, it makes more sense for her to end up with Nathan than Lucas. I feel somehow that they are trying to convince us here at the end that Lucas is the love of her life. But there is a reason most viewers see Nathan as the one for Elizabeth and it is the way the show has been written up to now. Here are some overall observations given recent events. Lucas essentially tells Nathan that he should stop pressuring Elizabeth. My questions are who is actually pressuring her? and how is Nathan doing so? To me, Lucas is the one doing the pressuring. She is finally working through her feelings regarding Jack’s death, but he is courting her with intense intentions. He is the one asking her on dates, during which he talks about “them” and covers her hand and leans in for a kiss. He kisses her hand. He is courting her with constant awareness that he expects the relationship to grow. Nathan on the other hand up until now, has passionately declared his love for her, but when she showed that she wasn’t ready for that, he gave her space. No finding and following her or asking her on dates or continuing to passionately declare his love. When SHE has found him, he has consistently and patiently assured her (at appropriate moments in the conversation) that his love is true and it is there. It is a natural part of the conversation. He doesn’t pressure her for more. He has allowed her to walk away. Nathan knows she is running from her feelings and processing her grief over Jack. He is standing by patiently loving her as she does this, yet gently fighting for her by being there and assuring her that he cares. On another note, is it just my imagination or does someone (aside from Lucas)seems often to be in the background watching and observing Nathan and Elizabeth’s interactions-there was the time that Nathan was leaving to catch someone and came by to tell Elizabeth so she would know that Allie would be coming to school from someone else’s home. Elizabeth reminded him there was no school the next day and she told him to be safe. Rosemary was quietly sitting in the background watching the interaction. Another time they were in the shop and Florence stood in the background quietly observing and giving them their moment. Do they have these moments with Lucas?
I hadn't noticed but you are right. I also think especially lately and in the episode coming up that Lucas is always spying on Elizabeth every time she is near Nathan. I think it's getting creepy how much he's in the background with his tea cup. We don't see Nathan watching Elizabeth and Lucas in the same way which makes me think he's actually more secure in her feelings for him. I'm loving his confidence this season. If not Elizabeth I hope he finds love quickly.
Patricia , everything you have stated is what many team Nathan fans sees also and yes practically every encounter Elizabeth has had with Nathan the saloon owner " just happens to be around ( creepy ) ! Let's get real , yes it's a tv show but it depicts real life , and in saying that " who would believe that on early 1900s a school teacher would get with a gambler , saloon owner, opportunist. ? Who !
