I admire Tasha Tudor. I understand her life wasn't perfect. I also kno the history of difficulties with her greedy adult children. I admire her for living life on her terms. She carved her own path. The 1830s spoke to her....and she felt like a sea captain's wife always waiting. Truly a well lived life. To not care one bit what others think.

If it hadn't been for hubby and I taking some "porch time" lately, we would have missed a mama and daddy bird coaxing their babies out of the nest they had made in one of my hanging flower pots. We were quietly cheering them as well😊

I'm at that spot in my life now but it will get better. I have to believe that. The good old days were great in some ways. But we have to cherish something everyday. My dogs faithful tail wag, my cats doing something that makes me laugh and the chickens and ducks they always do something that makes me laugh Look for the little things cause they mean more.

Long stressful week here too, took a cup of coffee to the deck tonight and what do I see..a full moon..oh no, so inside I went😂. I would love love love to have a garden like yours. We bought my grandparent's home 2 and 1/2 years ago. We have done a lot of work thus far. I have a ton of seeds. I have to realize it's not going to happen over night. I have a ton of medicinal herbs already growing in my yard that are just grown here from the wild which is amazing in and of itself. Thank you for sharing as I continue to learn so much.

It’s so i retesting that you said that you didn’t enjoy your garden as much this year. I went through a pivotal shift over the past two months. This summer has seemed particularly stressful, finding myself overwhelmed to say the least. I felt led to deprioritize and slow down in areas they kept me from getting my house in order and purging needing clutter. With the chores outside taking the strength and hours of my day I found I didn’t have much energy left to declutter and get things off the table that’s been on my back. I got rid of my chickens and closed down the gardening expansion outside to focus the rest of this year to getting things cleaned up within my home and barge. I just could t enjoy the fun I use to have gardening, sitting and soaking the beauty of my flower beds etc, my crafting stopped due to the interior clutter and things got buried in the basement. I can’t wait to clear this all out and then restructure to develop the beauty outside again more than ever so I can be outside more which is my happy place. Indoors I love decor and order, but I prefer the sunlight and air with open skies most. So I just related to the comment you made in a specific way!

Did you remove some of your rose bushes outside of your little shed? They don't look as thick as before. It's true....makes no sense working so hard in your garden that you are too tired to enjoy it! Slow down, pace yourself, and enjoy the fruits of your labors.....especially since you have 2/3 flowers and herbs and 1/3 veggies! God Bless!😊❤(Would love to see more spring bulbs in your yard in the mulched areas....hyacinth, especially daffodils, ( deer won't eat them)and tulips! Just a thought!)
