Guys use your minds. There are lines speaking about this guys that there isn't something right about them. Its all contradicting how they behaved and even the film is contradicting. They testified for Michael, defended and admired him. If a kid was abused -some love their abusers, but - they would feel uncomfortable around them and try to stay away. But Wade gave a tribute later on. Both of them hang around with him very comfortable. The accusation is ridiculous. This film don't give any sign of sorrow, guilt, threat, anxiousness, not even affected self esteem about the 2 'candidates'. Both of them look aside while listening to the other and nod to the lines they actually say. Its obvious it's all made up and they hold back themselves. After all of Oprah's interactions with the Jackson family over the years, I find it very odd that she chose to present the story in such a definitive way (MJ being guilty of these supposed crimes, without any real proof except for their testimony after his passing). They do tell you it's love... My abuser told me it's love. And that mom would not understand. I better don't say anything. So I totally get what they are saying. When my mom and him separated, I was very conflicted, because he had been unfaithful to my mother. But to me, he was a very special person. I even used to defend him when other family members would criticise him. It was only after many years, a lot of drifting and searching that I finally realised with my therapist what it actually was. He was so manipulative and subtle, I was totally under his spell. Now, he's dead, I'm a wife and a mother of two. I can talk about it without having all the emotions linked to it coming up like a fever. I'm in a good place, and I'm happy. But it took me about 15 years. So I completely understand these two guys, and I wish the to heal and find happiness. Abusers come in all shape and forms. But never as the bad monster with a warning sign. And that's the truth.

I'm having a hard time understanding the comments here. How do you not see that it is not normal for an adult to sleep with children? Would you like it if you had kids of your own? M.j was so talented and he sang great songs, he made people happy, but it has to be admitted that he was definitely weird and I would never let my own child in anyone's bed no matter who they are. These people who have grown up today will remember what they lived through every day for the rest of their lives. Everyone who is human and has a sense of empathy would thinks so. Fans may be disappointed for M.j, and I am one of them, but they were innocent CHILDREN for the love of god,so no one should ignore it.

I’m in my late 40’s and I grew up with Thriller when it came out. During that time it was different and as a child it was a bit scary and cool. And after so many facts and so much evidence has been presented absolutely debunking claims made by Robson and Safechuck, the Oprah camp doesn't even add a comment to their site/articles/videos/etc. to the effect that their coverage should have allowed for the possibility of Michael Jackson's innocence? After years of believing Oprah was on the side of victims, the one-sidedness when it comes to her treatment of Michael Jackson makes her part of the problem - perpetuating lies about a man who donated more to charity than she has and was a more hands-on humanitarian than she has been. If MJ was guilty of anything it was of being too trusting of people, too generous, too kind-hearted and too good in general. Even when he had to fight money-motivated lawsuits in court (Gavin Arvizo; maid Adrian McManus; Bianca Francia) and won/was awarded damages or attorney fees, all of the plaintiffs still didn't pay. So these liars were able to throw accusations at a big target with a potentially huge payout, trash an innocent man's reputation, and experience no consequences - complete BS. It wasn't Michael Jackson's nature to retaliate, but would be great if his estate would fight for justice and appropriate punishment to stop the free-for-all trashing of a good man's legacy.

More than anything, it scares and saddens me that so many people will blindly defend a man, simply because they idolise him. To me, that’s the real human tragedy here. I loved MJ too, I'll call him a genius 7 days of the week, but the man ABUSED CHILDREN for Christ's sake. He was suffering from mental illness. Anyone who truly cared would try to understand him as a whole person, who is allowed strengths and flaws, instead of only seeing an idolized god. But that’s probably the one thing that he couldn’t have in his life, and part of the reason why he ended up as sick as he did.

At 12:00 is the perfect question. Remember, Wade was 22 when he defended Michael Jackson in court. He was an adult that should have understood what Oprah was asking him here. He would have absolutely known if he knew he was defending a man that he had a sexual relationship with, wanting to keep it under wraps because he thought it was wrong, or he didn’t think it was wrong which does t align with why he would cover it up and defend him by lying in court. It just doesn’t make any sense any way you cut it, but Wade makes all of that even worse by claiming he didn’t even think about it. I remember elementary school in the early 80’s and the PSA’s and police to school programs initiated the concept of “bad touch”. I was the daughter of a victim of ongoing child sexual abuse. My mother wanted to be certain that I understood about bad touch, and specifically the things that predators would tell children to get them not to tell their parents. She even went so far as to tell me that some abusers would harm or kill animals and threaten to do the same to a child’s parents and or siblings to get them to keep their “little secret.” I don’t remember how old she began telling me these things but it was long before the PSA’s and school programs. Fast forward to my being 8 years old, and the father of one of my neighborhood friends invited me into his home because my friend was at Soccer, but she would be home real soon. After a time, he invited me to jump on his waterbed. I wasn’t allowed to be on my parents because I might pop it. And he dove onto the bed full body. Did I mention that this man was an marine vet? If he couldn’t pop it, I couldn’t pop it. The abuse followed. It came in the form of the “massage” that his daughter bragged to the whole neighborhood about. It also involved what I now know to call my mons. It didn’t hurt. The whole time it was happening he was talking to me about grown up things and treating me like I was a grown up. I felt a little uncomfortable, but if he did it to his daughter it couldn’t be something bad. It wasn’t until he got to a point where he was (what I now know was) preparing to self gratify, that he told me she probably wasn’t going to be home soon. So, I gathered up my dolls (that I had brought to play with my friend) and as I was going down the stairs he kept repeating, “This is our little secret.” That was the moment I realized I had been bad touched. I NEVER would have known if it weren’t for those four words. They were a direct quote from my moms repeated safety speeches. It still took me three days of sleeping with a knife under my pillow before I told my parents. Kids are changed forever, the moment that this kind of thing happens to them, and when it is ongoing they continue to be changed. Very often both male and female victims find themselves realizing that they were abused as children when they reach their forties. Even children whose abuse began in post pubescent ages find themselves not able to recognize it as abuse until much later in life. Part of my survival process was poetry. A writers retreat led to a group “published” book. I have a copy to my mother. The first thing my mother said to me after I revealed was that it was not my fault. Which I had never even thought, or felt, up to that point. After she read my poems she called me and apologized to me, as though she felt that somewhere in my heart or in my poetry I blamed her for what happened. Because she had told me to get out of the house and play for the day because she was having the carpets cleaned. I never blamed her for that. Never. If it hadn’t been for my mother, I might have gone on to continuously be abused (as I am aware that several other children in my neighborhood were, and as I expect his children may have been as well). I think she might have been less visceral in her explanations when I was little, because I think that my tendency toward anxiety was definitely increased by her presentation of the idea. But maybe the reality is that had I not been made afraid I might not have noticed until my self was completely eroded away. Now, imagine that the man who abused you is worshiped - not just by you, but by the entire world. The people previously closest to you in the world trust him. Tons of other children are around him with you, and they worship him too. When these men say he had been grooming them long before he met them. That is a fact, even if he didn’t abuse them (which I don’t believe) he had groomed the entire world. I vaguely remember watching a movie 🎥 (probably a TV movie) about the Jackson five, their fame, their fortune, and their father. Even if I hadn’t heard from his mouth in interviews about how he didn’t have a childhood, that movie told me that. I was not star struck by him, but my baby brother was. I would have had sympathy for him even without any direct contact with him. Then add the intentional intensely directed grooming. His victims would never have had a chance. And if he is guilty of this, I would not be surprised AT ALL if the numbers of his victims were astronomical. I now have to watch that darned documentary. But I think Oprah did a really good thing with this interview. Making and stressing two points: first that children often are not aware that the touch is “bad” especially if it feels good, and second that the secret makes survival so much harder. I am a survivor of child sexual abuse. My abuser was sentenced to seven years of probation for the charge of aggravated assault. He lived just down the street from me. He retained custody of his children and his wife did not leave him. (I heard years later that they did eventually divorce.). I was the only one of his victims to come forward. One family moved away as a direct result of their son’s abuse. A few years later, a boy who was a year or two older than me attempted to molest me. I physically put a stop to that and he said something which gave me the impression that my having been abused by that man meant that we could do those things together because he’d been with the man too. The trial that I endured in the hopes of getting justice for myself and protection for the other children in my neighborhood was absolutely useless. It is my fervent prayer that the #me too movement and others like it, as well as educators and reporters like Oprah continue to bring a spotlight to shine into these dark corners of our society and culture. One last note to tack on to my tirade ... girls are trained from childhood that they are vulnerable to abuse. To some degree it is almost expected that at some point in our lives we will be victimized. We are taught to never walk alone, always park under a light as close to the entrance as possible. Dress as modestly as possible or you are asking for it. Boys aren’t taught that way. It is more difficult for male victims to see themselves as victims, which adds another layer to their secrecy and shame. Even more so when it is same gender abuse, because the stigma against homosexuality in men is still insanely prevalent in our society. Whether the victim is gay or not, male victims are far less likely to report and heterosexual child victims of male perpetrators often have the extra confusion of why did it feel good, I’m not attracted to men? As a society we need to find a way to root out this evil. However, no matter what we do about the evil, we need to support the survivors. Two people can have their ass grabbed by the same perpetrator and one of them laughs it off and sees nothing wrong with it. The other is immediately terrified that if she tells him not to do that she will lose her job, or get labeled a prude, or be mocked in the hallways at school. Were both those girls sexually abused?

OMG. Did Michael really do this? I don't know what to believe now because they changed their stories several times. There's a chance that they're just two broke guys looking to cash in. I'm deeply sorry if it's true. No child should have to endure that. But if they're lying, living under lies is a curse and its own punishment. It's not worth it.
