The fact it was that competitive is a big embarrassment to fury and a huge win for Ngannou even tho he didnt get the decision. He looked great in there and i agree with Conor he couldn't put a dent in him so Francis was never discouraged and fury just coudnt ever get control of the fight because ngannou physically was so strong and the power was there even in bigger gloves

This really shows me the state of boxing in the last couple decades. Tyson fury. It went the distance! Boxingscene had Fury winning 96-93. Fury won it. Two judges had it 95-94 and 96-93 for Fury but one judge had it 95-94 for Ngannou. A close win by Fury is a loss for him. Mike Tyson should be Trainer Of The Year! He did a marvelous job in training MMA fighter Frances Ngannou! Fury was 13 pounds overweight. He should have fought the same way he fought against Whyte and at the same weight. Fury beat an MMA star who never boxed before by a small margin. Fury lost credibility.

According to Compubox, Fury landed 71 of his 223 total punches, while Ngannou managed to score with 59 from 231 attempted. Fury also landed more punches than his opponent in six of ten rounds, with Ngannou being the more active fighter in the third, fourth and eighth rounds with round seven equal. Ngannou might want back the last 2 rounds, when he landed just 6 of 38 punches to 13 of 37 for Fury.

I dunno think fury definitely didn’t take it serious in preparation but in a rematch he’d dominate especially if he lost this fight (which he slightly lost imo) all respect to Francis but Tyson was a shade of the fighter that whooped wilder 3 times. I honestly would love to see francis vs wilder now. Nothing but respect to both athletes. just opinion. Wilder is a great fighter tno question. I just feel like Francis put on a amazing performance. Took his training serious stuck to his corners plan and fought amazing against gypsy king. With proper time and training he's going to do great in boxing. Actually it was a close fight but Fury won. The knockdown was not bad he got directly up and outlanded Francis. But I have never seen Fury this bad. He is either on the way down or did not take this fight seriously. Francis on the other hand is a true warrior did very well.

Fury outlanded Ngannou in 6 of the 10 rounds, which would make it 95-94 Fury (after subtracting the point for the knockdown). However, Fury was supposed to win this easily so the fact that it was competitive makes Fury look very bad to most fans.
