Courtney has had some bad luck trying to get her career started. She was invited to Woodstock in the summer of 2019, which never happened due to Woodstock executives poor management to solidify the site to have said concert. That one was a big time disappointed to Courtney and fans alike. She would have already been close to a house hold name if that went off. Then COVID in 2020 delayed her time in the studios in both her country and the USA. Travel bands and lock downs kept her home for the most part up until this past November. Although she somehow released a Christmas cover, probably in combination with the use of the internet, that is on her YT channel and she also built a home studio that she has recorded a few songs and covers from. Last summer she was to perform in Austria at the Frequency Festival which I understand is a big deal, but that one also got canceled due to COVID. Her contract with SYCO/Arista records who is a sister company of Sony, which also was in partnership with SYCO is unknown as to where that's at for certain. She did say in a podcast with Howie Mandel that she has a new team. But couldn't discuss it yet. When she does, she wants to tell her fans 1st. I like that approach. We as fans are hoping for anything from Courtney, but it is her career, so we really should be understanding of what she has gone threw over the past 4 years or more. Poor kid couldn't even perform due to COVID. And that is the one thing she said she really wants to do again. What is she up to? Hoping to release her long awaited album this year. She has said "She has recorded loads of music" in the past. I guess it depends on what actually happened with her contract with SYCO/Arista Record/Sony as to who owns that music and will it get release if she is no longer signed with them. It will be a real shame if that music doesn't see the day of light in the future. Shame of the music people if that happens. I just wish her the very best moving forward. She had enough delays and tough luck to last a while. Time for some good luck. Although COVID is still here. That really sucks for everyone, but especially for any upcoming artist.
It's almost like the record company's and management it's almost like it's deliberate tactics, its if when she is allowed to release her music and tour the music scene we have been forced to put up with over the last few years is going to crumble their cosy ivory towers and they will have to deal with proper musicians, playing proper music! @@terryengland1880 Let's hope so. I would love to see the major labels lose their grip on what comes next in the music industry. They've already taken a hit with the advent of digital music platforms taking much of their records income, and have been reorganizing to build a new model to keep up with the times. Unfortunately they still make most of their money with artists doing concerts, appearances and other advertising ventures the artists participate in. As I was taught with this saying growing up, "This too shall pass". Nothing stays the same.

@@musicwithmaunalee Courtney has most recently been in Pittsburgh recording, after being on a recent Howie Mandel podcast. She loves coming to America, but has only recently been able to because of travel restrictions. She is through with school and is 100% working on a performance career, delayed because of the pandemic. Courtney has a great, funny personality, though she is still somewhat reserved on American TV. Her stage performances are unequaled. She is with a new label, name not publicized. She has several new songs she is writing and has put bits and pieces on social media. Barring something unforeseen, Courtney will be a big time star.
Courtney has primarily done short Tik Tok videos the last couple years. There are some great clips of old classic rock. If only she could release full versions on youtube. She has learned to play the guitar! How ever her promised epic release of a new album has not come to pass. Some say it was Covid that cancelled all her intended performances that messed up her deal with Sony music. Others say it was the sale of Syco Music to Sony music by Simon Cowl.
It would be cool if you could interview her. Just remember she is reticent and takes some warming up. She seems very smart, but has a lot of restrictions on what she can talk about. Maybe if you could go over questions with her ahead of time.

Didn't you know that she signed with Simon Cowell at 14 or 15 for a $ 1,000,000. Now that covid is about done and everyone is loosening up, I can't wait for her concerts and albums to get crankin'.
Hi Maunalee. The main reason Courtney decided on AGT I believe was that she was invited to participate by one of the show's managers - John! I also think she suffered quite severely from catching Covid in the early days of the pandemic which made her wary of being exposed to it again. But I am happy to be corrected by anybody who knows better.
simon, Courtney herself said her reason was she thought Americans would "get" her better. Also, she was invited by AGT. Her audition on AGT was more than a year before COVID.
@@rickrhoden1 Julie Miles web site page on Courtney says she was spotted by an AGT agent and invited. I suspect both stories are true, she was probably invited to both shows and she picked AGT. We get the short version of the story.
Yes, Courtney admitted to having Covid during a live question game with questions if her own devising. A picture if her at the studio showed her looking unusually pale and the studio was closed immediately. She said she was very sick , but didn't mention going to the hospital. Being young and with great lung capacity has its advantages.
Also Diana Ankudinova and lets face it, a dozen or more young fantastic singers. DA has 951K subscribers to her RU-vid channel. DT has 1.29 M. AJ has 646K on her "official" channel and another 447K on her "cover" channel. CH has 499K and GV has 3.47M on her "Oh Never Mind Its Just Me" channel.

Grace's "Golden Buzzer" audition has 114 million views and counting on RU-vid. I am not positive, but I believe that is the most for any singer ever on AGT. BTW I am a fan of all 3 young singers that you mentioned, but I didn't know all your quiz answers.
Eric, Courtney was announced on AGT with over 200 million views just before her 2nd performance there. She has over 500 million total worldwide views currently.
On the 15 year anniversary of AGT show Courtney was number 4 in official views of the AGT video of her performance, ahead if Grace who was 6th, with a two year head start.
@@dabouras Thank you for the correction you are absolutely correct. Courtney's audition eclipsed Grace's by a substantial number of views. Currently it looks like 71 million views over Grace's audition and that is not even counting the 58M views Courtney has on the AGT video. The combined total more than doubles Grace's numbers. This Covid thing hurt Courtney more than Grace as Grace was able to release music, go on tours and star in a movie all before Covid shut down everyone's careers. Courtney had less than half the time after AGT before covid hit.
@@rickrhoden1 You are right. What threw me was that Courtney only has 58 Million views on her AGT video. It is her Top Talent video that hit bigger with 185 M views so far. Grace had no comparable Top Talent video.

She's said it herself, she wants to perform again. It's been too long. Poor girl. Rotten luck she's had so far.Also some great luck too. Getting recognized on both Talent shows was huge. She deserved it all.
