I recently purchased a 2018 Camry and have been watching videos to remind me of what it can do. I’ve also watched 2019 Camrys because they are similar. Yours is by far the best and most informative of the bunch. Keep it up!
I bought mine (traded in my Corolla) 4 days ago. This is a great refresher to the explanation at the dealership. My car was assembled in Kentucky. At least Americans put it together.
Thank you for showing an LE model. I'm so tired of everyone always showing the V6 s l e LGBT model that no one ever buys just to impress the 17 year olds watching. My 2000 Camry just hit 406 k original miles and I've owned her since new. There is no better car on the road then the Camry and I like many of the new features on this one but unfortunately upon recent servicing and after my mechanic did an extensive compression test told me that it looks like my Camry will be with me for at least another 100K miles which is what he has told me for the last three hundred k LOL. She's lasted me through my twenties and my 30s and next year she'll help me celebrate my 40th birthday.
I beg to differ with you that "there is no better car on the road then the Camry." I see you are drawn to the Camry--and suggest you look at an Accord when yours needs replacing. They are very similar. When I was looking to replace our 2016 Hyundai Sonata PHEV (it was a lemon buy back), I could not choose the Camry as they did not offer Apple Car play at the time. So we bought the 2018 Accord 1.5T Touring, which my wife drives, and I drive our 2017 Volvo S90 T6 Inscription.
@@1973TJM accord touring is great. I was torn between the touring and xse. It was a very tough decision and I was really really torn. Never thought it would be that hard to decide. But at the end it really came down to colors because everything else was almost equal and no matter what car I chose it would have been a good car. At the end of the day they didn't have a color that I really wanted with the touring so I ended up going with the red xse and it's amazing. The only thing that I was upset about was I really wanted the red and black interior with the bird's-eye camera and the windshield display but I still love my car and would have loved the Accord touring as well they're both really good cars
Thank you so much for making the informative video. Your video helps my parents figuring out how to use their now car. Apparently, there are too many features for elderly. Your video is a life saver. You're much appreciated. Thank you!
Thank you for letting us learn with your videos, I bought a 2019 Toyota Camry LE, and the previous owner added a seat warmer, I forgot to ask where the button is located to make them work and now I can't find it.
*Attention people with the 2018 Camrys! Yes, it is very frustrating that Toyota didn't make Apple CarPlay standard for this model year. But listen up! Toyota released an update for the entune systems that includes apple carplay! All you have to do is download the update to a USB drive, plug it into your car, and install it. Now you have the apple carplay feature! If you need a tutorial, just search in RU-vid "how to get apple carplay for a 2018 Toyota Camry." Enjoy!!*
Very good informative video⚜️. I never knew that the truck lid had a keyhole hidden up under that lip. I have a 2020 Camry XLE that is push start and I thought the only keyhole It had was for the door in case the battery in the fob died. I just went down in the garage and checked mine and found the keyhole. I never knew it was there and I have never seen it on a video as well. I had Honda Accords previously and I don't think they had it ?
Thank You !! Finally a straight answer, straight forward exactly the explanation Ive been looking for. This is exactly what I will attempt to purchase tomorrow. Just like this is fine by me. Dealer added some couple oil change something and some other crap for about $699....Nope don't want it. Stock like this is fine, Thank You. Now to find one without ALL THE EXTRAS on the Lot.
Great review on a great car nice production work for the type of video. And, best of all you didn't sound whiney reviewer from SoCal. I guess you figured out that this is the 1st video of yours I've seen but it won't be the last.
I just got this car from my job LE 2019,I’m disappointed that there’s no blind spot alert, heating seats, and also it’s a physical key (which not bothers me actually) but overall I love the interior it looks very luxurious for a regular mid size car , I like the exterior and it’s driving very very smoothly on the road, I would give 8/10 before I had a Nissan Sentra that served me well but the Camry is a luxury car compare to the Sentra
Just got one of these, and I love the mileage and drive on the highways, but the gear shifts from 1-3 and 3-1 have been extremely rough. Been thinking about trading it in to the dealer for an XLE
@@dark7443 SE has a cheap grill and it has a plastic coating on the grill that gets water spots on it... It is a base model and The XLE is a top trim luxury model. XSE is the sport luxury model.
Great video man!!! I love the 2019 Toyota Camry!!! Toyota makes good cars!!!,Do you like hocking loogies? I do lol. It's a guy thing. I can't wait for your next video.
I just bought the red xse. I love it so much. I drive all day for work, so Having something I love is awesome but the payment is not cheap with the negative equity I have. But fuck it.
Bro I'm in the same predicament. Got a 07 accord still owe quite a bit looking to trade it in for a SE I'm like itching to get it lol. I'm gonna drop my balance down another grand or so and come in with a grand or two and say fuck it also lmao
Hey Mike, Great video as always. I never considered a Camry because I am 6' 9" tall and figured it wouldn't have enough room, but looking up the 2018, it has the same specs as my 1999 Chevy Lumina, which I can drive comfortably at my height. So, may go looking at one in a few weeks.
How did you make it last that long? I had a new 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. 6 months before I got rid of it in 2001 I had all kinds of lights coming on the dash including traction light and antilock brake lights. I also had trouble with multiple oil leaks and I had to have the transmission overhauled at 26k.. I sold that car and bought a new 2001 Honda Accord and never had any problems again between Hondas and Toyotas. I bought a new 2020 Camry XLE last year.
The LE trim level over the years for me have always been so bland. But I'm planning on trading in my 2014 Se Sport for a newer pre owned Camry. I'm really interested in getting a 2016 XSE V6. But I'm seeing the 2018 LE 4cyl for around the same price and with lower mileage 😒 I'm kinda tempted to look at the LE for the price
Scione S here you go “Engaging the Emergency Assistance button in your vehicle can connect you with a 24/7 response center agent who can request dispatch of necessary emergency services to your vehicle’s location in case of a medical or other emergency on the road. www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/safety-connect
How do I use the GPS with android in this car?! Is it possible even? It seems much more iPhone friendly. I just bought this, 2019, two days ago. Love this car; just need to figure out this android connection. I have it paired, but what now? It says doesn't recognize when I use the USB, which it's because it's an android- its looking for an iPhone.
@@vitalsign0 thanks. I did figure it out but you are correct. You can not use android auto though I do believe a few cars have it available. Pretty sure about that actually.
Question...when you put the shifter to the left in sport mode can you just leave it there and drive... Or do you have to use the push forward and or back to shift and drive..???...
Can you tell which trim level did you buy? I though only the highest trim level in the LE comes with sunroof, if you have a link for the model please send it.
The GPS system sucks because you have to download two apps from the google store in order for it to operate and they are not free after two years from the date of purchase. With this being said the GPS is useless, unless you own a iphone
I have the 2020 SE model and it's ridiculous that just basic features are part of option packages. Storage pocket in the back? Like what would you use that for?? How about some vents for the AC like every other care out there. Even the SE model has the stupid storage pocket. I'd like to know what did Toyota save by doing this? Oh BTW, where's the rear USB/Power ports again? The whole car industry is laughing that Toyota left out such basic features. There's the useless ECO feature that does absolutely nothing. They add something worthless like this but don't take care of the rear passengers or actually add the Tire Pressure indicator on the LE like the SE instead of the ECO.
I just got the car and it is amazing. I have two issues regarding it tho... One is that the engine (A25A-FKS) is way too complicated and is nothing like a Toyota engine anymore. It is more in line with a BMW or Mercedes engine now, so say goodbye to DIY work fellas. And my second issue is that there is only one location for the cigarette lighter unfortunately, I hate seeing a wire run across the middle but also love using Apple carplay. Wires run perfectly under the center console hatch so idk why not put a second one there.
The brake lights high and low are LED’s. Why are so many people so clueless to this. It’s just a single LED bulb. It’s a BI LED just like the headlights.
I've heard that there is a manufacturing defect in the 2018-2020 models, did Toyota fixed it? if I bought a used car how to know all problems have been fixed?
I got same one I wonder whats the deal with sealed trans does it ever need to be drained filled ? The book says if necessary go to dealer ?? My old camry drove over 300k flushed once at around 120k idk if was needed even deeded . So what you guys think with the 18 sealed ?????
