Ingredients for the sponge cake (8-9 pieces):
- 250 gr all-purpose flour;
- 20 gr yeast;
- 1/4 teaspoon salt;
- 30 gr sugar;
- 3 eggs;
- 60 ml sunflower oil;
- 50 ml warm water;
- 1 vial of vanilla extract or 2 sachets of vanilla sugar;
- seedless strawberry jam;
Ingredients for the Whipped Cream (quantity for 16 Savarinas):
- 400 gr liquid cream;
- 200 gr heavy cream;
- 100 gr powdered sugar;
Ingredients for the Savarina syrup:
- 250 gr sugar;
- 700 ml water;
- 2 vials of rum essence or two tablespoons.
If desired, you can even add 50-100 ml of rum with alcohol, but it will need to be boiled to evaporate the alcohol.
