I have been looking for something like this for weeks to make as a nightgown for my daughter who is having double mastectomies in a few weeks. We need something that is not going to be tight on her body, but also can allow for IV's, and not have to go over the head to remove for bathing. It's perfect. She is an XXL and so I will have to figure out yardage. And I will do small ties down the sleeves so that we don't have to raise her arms to take it off. I know that's not what you designed it for but thank you so very much. I think I can do this. Do you have any idea of how much fabric I need?
I made it. I added 2 cm on each part (because I was affraid it won’t fit me, but now I belive it wasn’t really necessary). It was very easy to do and I have a very beautiful dress know. Let the summer begin! Thank you for showing everybody step by step how is made.

That dress looks so fabulous! The clips are so cool to clip on the fabrics to hold before sewing. I hate the pins that tend to stung my flesh fingers. Ouch! 😬😑🫤 Enjoy sewing and then wearing the fabulous dress! 🙂👍🫶
Ce n'est pas le motif qui compte mais le patron. Vous pouvez acheter le tissu qui vous convient. Le patron est offert. Parfois, ce sont les commentaires qui sont particulièrement "moches".

Cute idea but good luck coming across a bolt of fashion fabric that is 64" wide on the bolt. Usually lightweight fabrics like this are sold 45" wide and only heavy fabric designed for outerwear like coats is available in 64" widths. I do especially like the low-cost, low-hassle way you stabilized the neckline though. Definitely fire
Very easy and beautiful, even for me that I am starting to do my own clothes. I am petite and have troubles to get clothes on my test, colors and size. I am 60 and the only I can see in the stores are dresses without any good shape or doing. I made a promise to myself to learn how to do those precious dresses or blouses you teach, dear.
