Joyce you are a very talented hairstylist. You should own your own shop. Maybe in the future you will be blessed to own your own shop. Stay humble and grateful. 😇
I'm a Black American woman, and I love watching you do hair in your shop! You seem to have a wonderful spirit, a good gift for hair, and you're beautiful! ❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Joyce! Those girls and u, at that salon, know what you're doing!!!! Such intricate work you do with women's hair, it's beautiful!!! I am stunned at how well everyone speaks English in Kenya, it not being your first language, wowwwwwwwwwwww! Thanks so muck Joyce, for sharing what u do! It was very very interesting and fun!!!! I love your video's!!!!!!
If only you were in my area! Your personality and great customer appreciation would keep you booked with clients. I recently paid $180 to get my hair colored and natural hair twisted. I always give a tip too. Joyce your hands are truly blessed and your salon team works together so well 💞
You have such a very cooperative and loving family. Everyone works together for the benefit of the family unit. God bless you and I must also say you're an excellent hairdresser. The same is done in my country, Jamaica 🇯🇲.
First of all, you look absolutely beautiful in that dress, but your smile is even better❤ African hair fascinates me, it seems one can do anything with it and the hair stays in place. My hair is typical nordic=slippery as silk, if I put it in a bun or braid and secure with a hair tie, it slides off unless I wear a headscarf over it all(which I do most of the time during daytime, church or not). I understand that african hair has another surface than the nordic hair and must be treated in another way. Thank you for showing us a day at work. Todays living bread is psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want! Your sister in Christ, Cecilie
Wow Joyce, you do beautiful work. OMG, you could make so much money doing braids and locs in America. The stylist here charge anywhere between $200-$500 per person to do those same hairstyles.
Hi Joyce, I love your energy. After a whole day of working at the salon and still manage to do house chores for in the evening! Good to see your in-laws supporting your business. May God continue blessing the work of your hands.
Joyce, here in the US, the first 2 braid clients would pay $250 to $525 american dollars. This includes my time and the clients hair. At the end of the day, you can earn $1,500 to 2,500 for the work that you did today. Great job, by the way.❤❤❤
My mother did. hair into her 90’s. She put all her children through school. I will be forever grateful for her and her love and hard work. Joyce you will always have my support ❤❤
Hello Joyce, another wonderful video. Hair styling works the same here in the USA, where I currently live and the same in the Caribbean where I'm from. May God continue to bless you and yours ❤
You are very talented. Do you braid your girls hair? This would be nice for your oldest daughter to have a braid style while she’s away at boarding school. God bless .
Wow, thank you for showing us your wonderful salon! It's so interesting to see the other side of your day! Lol What you do is very complicated and beautiful, the way those gorgeous braids look when you are done! I pay $45 for color and cut! That probably sounds like a lot, but some women pay $100-$200-$300 here in the US! You did a lovely job for ladies you were styling in the video! Way to go, Joyce!!!!!
Hey Joyce, I loved every moment of your video. All your clients hairstyles were beautiful and your sister in law (?) was just gorgeous. Thanks sharing and they weren't shy with camera❤🙏
🤗It is so nice for you to take us along with you to the salon for the day. 🤩Great to see you & your clients. 😇You are doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work. 😃Thanks for sharing.😉
You would enjoy Crystal from Elite Hair Care. She's on RU-vid. I love watching her work. She has developed her own products and a real following. Maybe you can help each other...you could be a retail distributor of the products maybe? The ladies look beautiful! I enjoyed this video! I love sitting under the dryers! LOL So relaxing!
Hi Joyce, I used to get my daughter’s hair braided at a beauty salon. I live in Long Island, New York and during the onset of the pandemic I started to learn to braid my daughter’s hair myself. At first the beauty salons & barber shops were closed. So a lot of people learned to do their own hair (men & women). I used RU-vid tutorials to learn to do her hair and my own. My daughter doesn’t want any chemicals in her hair and wears it natural. I taught her how to keep it nourished and moisturized. Also how to do her own natural protective styles. We stopped going to black hair salons because they overcharge, have poor customer service skills, have bad attitudes, overbook ect You have a lovely personality and are very gifted . You are also very fast with braiding compared to some of the stylistic here in America. Sometimes in the African braiding shops they have more than one person braiding clients hair and take longer than you who do it solo! 😅😂 I stopped going to the African braiding shops over ten years ago for the same reason I stopped going to the black American salons. I would definitely get our hair done by you if I lived in your village in Kenya! Thanks for sharing this video of your hair styling profession. You & Peter are very hard workers and I appreciate how you always give God the glory for your blessings! God bless you and your beautiful family! 😊❤️🙌🏾
Very talented hair stylist. Love the video. In the US, with the hair styles you did today, You can make easy 400dollars to 1000 dollars a day. I pay my hair dresser 175.00 for a simple sew in weave
Hi Joyce. Thank you for sharing your work at the salon with us. I am a licensed hairstylist since 1995, but right now, I'm retired. Watching you work makes me want to get back behind the chair. You are super fast. There's no way I could have done all those braids and other styles in one day. I wish that you would share how much you charge for each style that you did. I know for me, counting all that you did, I would have made close to $1,000 usd, if not more. On top of all of that, your work was flawless. Keep it up and share more videos like this please, and maybe do some tutorials.❤
Hello Joyce i live in Texas and i don't get my hair breads anymore but my daughter inlaw are both are hair dresser who only do braids and those long styles of braids are 200are 300 US dollars and the short twist are about a 100us dollar and to perm and curl as we call a set is about 80 are 90 US dollars very good job but we don't comb the curls because thats how a lot of women like the style .❤
When do you sleep? I hope you find time to relax and rest in between your day job, your housework, your farm work, raising kids, and being a wife. You sure are superwoman! Who takes care of Jimmy when you are at work? BTW, Grace has beautiful eyes. African women are awesome!
I was doing this work back then in 18 years then i came to Gulf i know how to fix rollers, brodry pleating hair, doing curlkit, Parm and applying gel back in 90's we used to work while Salon where not that many
You are very talented. Here in America the stylist from Africa charges $250-$350 and more to do twists and braids in Atlanta Georgia it is like $800. It is a blessing to make others look and feel beautiful. My daughter who is 31 says she suffers from hair depression if her hair is not done.
Hi Joyce! Thanks for showing your clients hair styles! They are not shy at all being filmed while you are styling! I get my hair hilites done with foil layers. It takes about 2 hours and I spend 20 minutes under the dryer. It costs $150 and I get it colored every 2 months. Thanks Karen from Oregon
Hi Joyce we still do hair that way here in Barbados iam also a hair stylist for over 30years I also have a decorating and cleaning business .My daughter runs the salon so I can go to houses I love doing both
So interesting ❤ but we need more Joyce facts about the haircare in Kenya 😉: how many times a week you wash each of hairstyle, what kind of products used (I mean oils or cream....)Thank you 😚😚😚
Joyce!!!! Thank you for showing us where you work! I live in Florida in the USA. I work as an elementary teacher. I’d love to have Jimmy as my student. Tell him I’m his fan! ❤ Your salon is similar to basic salons here in the US. I have curly hair but not African hair. I don’t know how to describe it. It’s very thick and unruly!😂 I like rollers. Most of the time I air dry it. My hairdresser is Sarah. I’ve know her since she was a teenager. She’s a lovely young woman now. We go to the same church. I love the outcome of your clients hair. Thanks again! Love Janice
Hello Joyce, you are a wonderful hair artist!! Such lovely hair you do. I've been watching your channel for a few months now and really enjoy the content. Keep doing what you're doing....God bless you and your precious family. Love and hugs from Tennessee, USA
