While I hope they continue to stay away from the Modern staples in Historic (preban away with the designed as pushed MH3 cards to displace the pitch elementals in current Modern) I totally hope they continue leaning in to the Legacy/Vintage staples and broken cards in Timeless. It's great to have a place that's not ridiculously priced or MTGO to play those cards.

When Show and Tell was in Standard we had Tidal Kraken, Serra Avatar, and Sneak Attack. It was good even then, and it wasn't uncommon to see Seal of Removal into Show, dropping a finisher and protecting it with Diplomatic Immunity. These decks also ran Treachery, Bribery, Daze, and Misdirection to make sure they weren't just a one trick pony.

Confiscate/Lay Claim/In Bolas’ Clutches are the correct sideboard answer to Show and Tell. When an aura is on the battlefield without enchanting something you place the aura on a legal target as a state based effect, so it doesn’t use the stack. Instead of a trigger that can be responded to, it is taken without ever giving you priority to respond, and they keep your OMNI/Atraxa.

Yeah agree with Jim, this Is a Legacy deck in Modern, most busted thing in the format by far. Made me check out of the format. There are ways to beat It, but what people don't realize Is that everything you can play to beat It, you can just play it ALONGSIDE S&T since the card takes like 1/4th of your deck and everything else can be any other deck like Domain, Control, Midrange, whatever. Veil and Brainstorm beat discard, card Is Blue so you can play counterspells alongside It, Borne Upon a Wind Is the nail in the coffin.

Back whenever I'd cast Spoils of the Vault for Goryo's Vengeance pieces and ended up dying to the life loss, I'd remind myself that if I hadn't casted the spell, the needed card wasn't gonna show up at all that game. I miss that Modern.

The weird thing about this deck is that it's pretty easy to beat, but it's sorta hard to beat it and also beat aggro reasonably.

I think this deck is a little too much for the format. So many decks cant beat it. However i was climbing mythic by playing izzet counterspells rhinos.

agree, its just way to consistent and theres not any reasonable counterplay apart from making your deck worse to run a specific hate piece or having counterspells which alot of decks dont

There is a deckbuilding mistake here. If you play fae of wishes + shared summons package you need 2 fae of wishes and you dont need masterminds. If you play masterminds you dont play shared summons but scholar which is The creature that gets spells from The graveyard. 2 faes is for when you cast summons you can tutor for fae and atraxa and that allows you to cast 2 approaches in one turn

@@jii-ro7083so its kinda only when i have exactly only show, omni, fae? because if you have show, omni and any combination of the 4 atraxa, 4 Dig, 4 Assmble, and tutor almost lets you your whole deck and finds you the one fae that gives you a pproch of the second sun. so i dont think its worth the SB slot honestly.

Yeah sneak and show was basically a tier one TYPE ONE(legacy) deck the minute it was printed. 😂 #BOOMERS but most people would just play "fish" because it didn't really have bad matchups.

I believe they will restrict SaT at least until they print some good answers in the format like Force of Negation or something. Timeless has a ton of broken stuff that's banned in Legacy without any of the answers.

There are plenty of permanent that destroy or exile Omniscience on etb. I've only lost to this deck once because of Leyline Binding😂

@@Cincinnatijames then they play Borne Upon a Wind with your Leyline on the stack and win anyway (already happened to me). Once SaT resolves your chances are slim.

Probably you meant that you drop leyline binding on omniscience… but in response they play born upon a wind and then put everything on the stack and your leyline binding goes bye-bye. Because if you play it in response to show and tell, it does nothing.

@@samuelconsentino8547 I've faced 20 of them today. I have not seen any Leyline Bindings. The only tech that have got around it are the Born Upon the Wind.

@@AzazelReborn81 Idiot, of course I'm playing Leyline Binding in response to S&T, I'm dropping it with Show and Tell. Born Upon the wind has only mattered twice. Once, when I didn't have a follow up Leyline Binding or Fragment Reality and once when they had two Born Upon the Wind.

@@Cincinnatijames A good portion of the S&T deck is instant speed card draw spells, and even with binding, that means there’s a good window where they can play all the instant speed card draw spells they want. Chances are they’ll find an answer to your leyline before its ability even resolves.
