Very informative and appreciate you showing the outfits at the end. 😊 It's very typical to use umbrellas and hats in South Korea during sunny days. They're very big on sun protection and I love it. Staying covered in something whether it be a hat, sunscreen, umbrella, shade, or longer breathable clothing is key.

I thrifted a gorgeous burgundy red dress recently that's loose and made of thin breathable cotton, and it's my new favorite thing to wear. Accessorized right, you can make the simplest base garment read as gothic.

I would say “don’t wear black” unless it’s boots on the bottom. Shocking, I know! I start to wear red, purple and white cotton dresses when it gets hot, flowy ones. There are floaty goths out there! I wouldn’t wear fishnets or PVC shorts, but to each their own! :)

I wear calf boots with dresses and don’t stop unless it’s 90 outside. Socks keep the feet cool. I sweat less through my legs than my torso.

I lived in San Diego and got the “it’s not raining” comment all the time when I carried a parasol. Breakdown the word…para…for…sol…sun. Duh. Umbrella means in shadow. None of it has to do with rain.

I would say avoid the sun between 10am and 4pm. Or limit your exposure.

Love your tips and not everyone has all of the suggestions that you do. I wear a lot of white in summer even though not everyone considers it Goth; but it can be with the right accessories. I'm new here btw and really enjoy your personality ;)

Synthetic fabrics (polyester, nylon, spandex) will not breathe as well as natural fibers, like linen, muslin, and cotton. Linen is the best for hot weather because it pulls moisture away from the body and holds less bacteria than cotton.

I’ve always wanted to try goth makeup but I’m too nervous to. Does the foundation feel good once it’s been applied to your face? It looks like it does and for me the whiter the face the better
