This is awesome. I’m obsessed with the Lemax 2005 Sugar n Spice collection, but the Halloween figures. They only made them briefly. Most people set up the Christmas pieces of this collection, but my favorite holiday is Halloween.

Cutting away at the foam with that hot foam cutter seems so satisfying! 😂 I love the end result. You are so talented!!!

You can use toothpicks between the layers of foam to help hold them in place so they don't shift on you when you start carving. Just be sure to insert them far enough inwards on the platform so that you don't hit them when carving with the HWFC! (They can snap your wire if you snag on them). A low temp hot glue gun sometimes also works, it's not hot enough to melt away the foam. ;)

That is so lovely! I don't know if this is your thing, but a witch bent over a cauldron would look cute in the cave. A small bonfire on the front right corner would be neat, too. I thought about suggesting a small polymer clay wood pile candle holder with a tealight in it but I'm not sure if having a live flame so close to flammable materials would be a good idea lol.

Hi, Aiden, I loved your foam-sculpting and terraforming video with the creation of your village. I suggest a smuggler's cave/pirate's treasure cave complete with unfortunate skeleton of piratical sacrifice to guard the loot. Love the little houses but will have to enjoy them vicariously through you as I have neither the room nor the money. Thanks for keeping things cadaverously clever.

looks pretty great bruh! i would carve the foam outside too - i'm pretty sure there's toxic gasses that are released when you're melting through foam with your wire cutter. also, for your base black coat, i might water it down just a tad, say 70/30 or 80/20, paint/water. i think you'd find that it coats the piece(s) more easily and with less paint but with no loss of quality.

Wow, oh Wow! Wow! I loved this! All I kept thinking about putting in that cave was a kraken or dragon but I know that's so NOT what you're going for (just made me laugh). I'm looking forward to finding your other video(s) where you complete this. I am curious about one thing if you could enlighten me...I see all these folks always going outside to spray paint. I'm curious why you didn't consider spray paint? Is it because of the foam board, i.e., it wouldn't stick? I never heard of reindeer moss but I most certainly made note of it--pretty cool stuff. Also, I was kind of on the fence about getting that hot wire for cutting, but totally on board now seeing the cool effects it has. I was waiting for you to pull out other hot knife accessories but was very impressed with you doing it all with one tool. Thanks for sharing!

I'm going to revamp my landscaping, following your technique, also going to upgrade my hot wire foam cutter(I have a cheap one, not as versatile as the true hotwire foam factory one) I have a small cave I made out of a square of foam, and I bought dragons for it. Acetone will naturally erode the foam. I'd use it to make bricks for theatre.
