Those fireworks were really pretty, I hope the doggos were ok! I also don't like fireworks, but here we only have then for New Year's luckily. I am glad you talked about the horror references, because I don't watch a lot of horror movies anymore, and I have always been worried about it with this series. But I hope to read it next year. I haven't participated in Summerween (but hope to do it next year), but I started rewatching the Fear Street movie trilogy on Netflix, and what you said about SGJ's books reminds me a bit of those movies, too. The first one is fun slasher, and then it gets more serious. I always cry at the end. xD Happy reading for the rest of July!

Thankfully neither of my dogs care about fireworks, Echo has anxiety but its not triggered by that thank god but that is one of the reasons I don't like them I feel bad for all the poor animals. I so want to watch those movies but I'm afraid that even if I'm not scared watching them that it will still give nightmares I have such vivid dreams. No pressure at all but if you wanted to buddy read the trilogy next year I'd be down for a re-read

@@fitforgaming9236 Yeah, getting nightmares is not a great thing, I get that. So happy your dogs were fine. Busi also didn't mind fireworks too much. I'll definitely let you know when I got to the books!

I hope you’re having a nice Summer Jess although you hate it. I like the Summer. Not when it’s to hot though. Right now it’s about 60F and raining so not a problem now😂
