They've confirmed that they (particularly the Aussies) cuss all the time. But they're with JYP, which means the goody-goody image must be enforced even if everyone knows it's BS. They had to severely edit the Chuseok episodes (the bit where Lee Know yelled "f*ck") because apparently the entire thing just devolved into them cussing right and left, which is unsurprising considering how...well that game was going. As for Chan's "sh1t" moment, that's from Kingdom. And unlike some of the wishful-thinking moments in this compilation video, that really was legitimately him getting away with cussing in a live broadcast by disguising it as basically the one supposed Korean word (쉿, kinda sounds halfway between "sh1t" and "shwit") in an all-English rap. He knows he cussed, and he knows we know he cussed. When he replayed the song in Channie's Room, he knew the company had caught on after the online reactions and he couldn't get away with saying it again and claiming it was just him speaking Korean with his Aussie accent, so he had to just bypass it and use the English version of the Korean word he pretended he was saying in the first place (쉿, = "sshhh," like "be quiet"). Basically Chan's "sh1t" was another version of them getting away with company-forbidden language by using bilingual wordplay -- same as Han getting away with saying "agari"/"아가리" by pretending he was saying "I Got It."

As far as I noticed Felix and Chan do that (swear) ridiculously often. Previous year fan saw Felix in hotel saying “Where is the *uck, *ucking key card?”. Not to mention that in Chan’s room Felix calling Chan c*nt all loud. 😅 They do that all the time just the policy of the company is against that, so it’s understandable 😂❤

I just went to their maniac tour here in Melbourne. When Seungmin covered the song Stay by Justin Bieber with the band (yes they had an actual bank hired) he changed the lyrics to messed up instead of fucked up and audience sang along actual lyric. Chan was joking how they need to have a talk with boss haha Also I just realised Freeze wasn’t on setlist. Thought all songs on Oddinary was there. Changbin rap was amazing as always (yes he’s my bias too). He had to cover Hans rap in muddy water because Han couldn’t perform in middle because he got overwhelmed. 😢Hope he’s ok on second day!

But, as a teacher in the US - I'm glad they don't swear because I can play most of their songs in class without worrying about the lyrics. Also, not swearing sometimes makes the artist be a little bit more creative with their lyrics. However, it is funny watching them.

It's true! One tends to get creative when certain words can't be used. Just look at how crazy they get when they can't use English! 😅😂 But I'm also glad they don't swear. I, personally, don't like swearing so being able to listen to Stray Kids without worrying about swears is quite nice. 😊

there are some clips of skz cursing that are absolute GOLD. some of those clips were slightly inaccurate as you saw. there are much much better ones nowadays. im also upset that the jisung clip was almost fully cut out where he actually cursed but u can probably find the full clip just about anywhere. the leeknow clip however is especially hilarious because there is no f sound in korean, there was no way he DIDNT say what we think he said 😭. thank you so much for your reactions!

@@shailacarr3656 Lee Know almost never alludes to his, nor do the others, but the one really direct mention I know of is second degree in all three of his disciplines. (With Lee Know's tendency to just go off and study stuff in his silent overachiever way, I wouldn't actually be shocked if he'd upgraded over the years, but I also think it's fairly unlikely simply because he's ticked off those boxes and moved on to other stuff that interests him -- like tackling boxing as a fourth martial practice.) Felix originally said second degree as well, but that's been morphed over the years into some people claiming third degree. However, I don't recall ever hearing "third degree" directly from his lips, and we have no knowledge of him having somehow found the time to keep practicing and improving to third degree after he moved to Korea and devoted the majority of his time to his career and learning a new language and culture. So my suspicion is that the increasingly common "third degree" thing I've seen about Felix comes from people blending Felix's mention of his second degree with WJ's mention during that same show of his own third degree in Kendo, and then over time that's been blurred together and passed along to new generations of fans as "Felix is a third degree." Which, because fandom is a giant game of multilingual, multiplatform Telephone, sometimes turns into "Lee Know is a third degree" instead.
