Hi everyone, thanks for tuning in! We've seen many of you asking about how to remove polygel nails. For guidance, please watch our removal tutorial video at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RWENfvD79JU.html. We hope you find it helpful! :)
@@chimerewalker Absolutely, you can use the products you mentioned prior to applying the base coat. However, if you don't already have them, there's no need to go out of your way to buy them. Just ensure that your nails are clean and free from any oil, dirt, or moisture with alcohol before applying the base coat.
@@galliahnyinawumwami9774 Hello, thank you for your question. We get this question a lot, so we recently created a video addresing this concern. So glad i found this. What I had been doing wrong was not waiting for the slip solution to evaporate before placing the gel/nail mold on my actual nail (every attempy the gel just peeled right off my nail bed). The other thing i didnt realize was placeing the nail 3/4 on and THEN sliding it up to the cuticle 😅 i keep being left with extra exceess pushed out the sides lol. And last very helpful tip ill be using is making the sides thin and ghe middle thicker. Thanks for doing this video for us
This is a REAL TUTORIAL for beginners! Very thorough and you explained the actual method. It was common sense to wait for the slip to evaporate before sticking that glob of gel on to the nail but I didn’t realize it until you’ve mentioned it in your video. I would’ve been scratching my head why everything’s wasn’t sticking. I just ordered a kit and I wanted to see if I can even do it. I’ve watched so many tutorials but this one is the most informative one I’ve seen so far! Thank you!
Yes definitely wait until the slip solution evaporates, or else you will have little bubbles in the gel too. Thank you so much for your order! We cannot wait to see your creations :)

When will y'all give up saying slip solution. Just use the word alcohol 70% alcohol y'all had people around here really thinking they need to find some slip solution it ain't no special solution it's just alcohol that you can buy from the store.
Hi Wonderland, we appreciate your feedback! Our slip solution is not just 70 or 100 alcohol. We've added other ingredients to create a unique solution that we think will help customers with their Poly Nail Gel application. Of course, if you would like to use other alcohol-based products, by all means, go ahead as long as it works :)
Hello, to dry it effectively, you'll need a UV or LED Nail Lamp. Our lamp is tailor-made for curing Poly Nail Gel. I hope I answered your question. 💗glowtips.co.uk/collections/led-nail-lamp
It depends. If you are purchasing from the UK, the kit includes the slip solution. If you are outside the UK, you need to buy the non-UK set, which does not contain the slip solution. However, you can use alternatives like 70% isopropyl alcohol. glowtips.co.uk/products/glowtips-poly-nail-gel-extension-starter-kit-without-slip-solution
Hi Petro Du Plooy, it's entirely up to you. You can do it without the clip, or with it. As you can see our video, we do not use the clip and it works perfectly fine.

seems there would be no need to file the shiny surface, just the edges? I'm not a licensed professional, just a nail wearer and enthusiast, hoping I can learn to do my own.
Hi Barbara, do you mean the shiny surface after you cured the poly nail gel nails? Please visit time stamp 10.49 on the video, we suggest lightly filing the surface and the edges of the gel nails before applying top coat or gel polish. Hope this info clarifies your question x

As you apply the polygel to the dual form, focus on keeping the side walls and cuticle area thin, while allowing the middle to remain thicker. You can watch this part: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sKoO5gRhtQU.htmlsi=ym0RFXQRD0XB-XGN&t=177 . Let me know if you have further question
This video was very beginner friendly, thank you. I jus decided recently that I'd like to have my nails done and beautiful but after going to a salon and getting told that what I wanted done would cost around $70 😮😮😮 I got my stuff, thanked them and left. Started watching videos on acrylic nails and poly gel and started ordering a few things. Gonna be trying this out this week when my poly gel starter kit gets here.
Indeed, polygel nails are quite suitable for beginners. If you're looking to save money on salon visits and enjoy some personal time doing your nails, I highly recommend learning this skill. It's a great new ability to acquire! ☺
🤯🤯 so you start the form about 1/8 away from cuticle, and slide ever so gently, and then a light seal down at the end?!?!!!! I saw it and I can’t wait to try that on my friend tomorrow! Thank you so much!
This is the best application of hybrid gel that I have seen and I do believe I have seen almost every video about hybrid gel. I am learning and want to see how many people do it. This video is the best at talking you through it. 😊
This is one of the best tutorial videos I watched for poly gel. I have never tried poly gel and as a beginner this video is so informative and very useful 💅🏻. Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial ❤ I also love the LED light its amazing that its has the slow feature for sensitive skin 😍
I put either nails on top or use nail forms. It keeps my nails the correct thickness with no bumps and I don’t worry about trying to get it all spread out.
First of all, avoid pressing the poly gel-filled dual form too hard onto your nail, as this can cause the gel to overflow and create an uneven surface. Gently press it down and apply the dual form. If you find the poly gel too thin after curing, don’t worry-you can always add another layer to build up the thickness. It may take a few tries to find the perfect thickness for your nails, but you'll get there :)
What kind of alcohol do I need to wipe off the sticky layer from the polygel? I bought some polygel myself and it has a tacky surface even after I cured it 3 times, I also use rubbing alcohol instead of slip solution as I do not have any, what should I use to wipe off the tacky layer? 🤗
Hi, you could use your slip solution to wipe it off too. Slip solution has alcohol content in it, so after you cure your polygel then dap your slip solution with a lint free cotton to gently wipe off the tacky layer. Hope this helps :)
Hey, I’m sorry to hear it’s not working for you! Did you extend it too far? That can sometimes cause it to break. Usually, when it breaks, it’s because the polygel layer was applied too thin

the best tutorial I've seen thus far. I've done Polygel on my hands three times and they haven't lasted more than a day because I would press the gel on with too much pressure. I, now, understand that I don't need to press it all the way down. I can't wait to try again.

I wasn’t using the base gel (hmm what’s this for, eh probably not important) and I was using waaay too much slip solution…apparently 😅, can’t wait to try again
Hi @@nalashani997 , are you referring to a base coat? We always advise using a base coat before applying polygel for optimal adhesion. Also, a quick tip - if you're using too much slip solution, remember to let it fully evaporate before curing under the nail lamp!
If your natural nails are in good condition, not broken or damaged, there's no need to trim them before applying polygel. Polygel not only enhances your nails' appearance but also adds a protective layer that aids in their growth and strengthening. Many customers turn to polygel when they find it difficult to grow their nails due to weakness. It's crucial, however, to avoid filing too much of the polygel down to your natural nails during removal or when doing an infill. If you're interested in learning how to safely remove polygel, we have a tutorial video available: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RWENfvD79JU.html

You should never cut your cuticles, it can cause infections and they grow back rougher each time. Use a cuticle remover cream, an orange stick (made of wood) and a ceramic quartz cuticle pusher to really tidy your nails. If you do this every week for a few weeks your cuticles & nails will look better & be healthier and you can probably go to two weeks between manicures.
Hi, great tutorial! I have a question: If the dual form is really curved on the underside and it leaves a gap between the nail and the gel after curing, am I doing it wrong or is it the dual form?
It could be a few things! If the dual form is too curved or not the right size for your nail, it may not sit flush, causing gaps. Make sure you're using the right size and shape for your nails. Also, if you're not applying enough pressure when placing the dual form, it can lift, so try pressing down evenly but gently. Lastly, check the amount of gel you're using-too much can cause the form to shift, leading to air pockets. Try adjusting these and see if it helps! 😊 That’s why we offer both flat and curved dual forms-flat ones are great for those with a flatter nail. You can check it out here: glowtips.co.uk/products/flat-style-dual-nail-forms?srsltid=AfmBOorEhEAvw936irhFFHRLKPF4eRrP6AmMg1FGtQN1FoofS6lcPjx6

Hey, when you say "fall off," could you elaborate a bit? I'm not entirely sure I grasp your question. Usually, with polygel nails, they shouldn't fall off because a base coat is applied before the polygel, helping it adhere to your natural nail. So, if you could clarify what you mean, I'll do my best to answer your question accurately.
Hi there, I'm really sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your nails. Thursday is my free day off of work and kids are at daycare so I will be trying it out. I hope to be able to flaunt some cute nails on Friday at work 😄 sorry for my English it is a bit rusted
Hi, it's not recommended to use nail glue instead of a base coat before applying polygel. Nail glue is designed for adhering nail tips and isn't formulated to bond with polygel effectively. A proper base coat ensures better adhesion, prevents lifting, and protects your natural nails. Using the correct base coat will give you the best results and longevity for your polygel nails. If your current base coat is not good enough, try the same brand polygel base coat. This is because products from the same brand are formulated to work well together. Hope this helps

Do you mean wiping the tacky layer of the polygel? You can also use the slip solution included in the kit, a nail cleanser containing alcohol, or 70% isopropyl alcohol. Do not use acetone. Gently wiping the nails is sufficient to remove the tacky layer. Hope this helps :)
Try press the dual form that is filled with polygel with your other finger. Gently put it under the lamp until it does not move anymore, then remove your hand from the nail lamp. Hope this helps :)
I do a lot of dishes and a lot of cleaning and I don't always use my cleaning gloves for everything but how do I keep them last in like acrylic I want them to last longer than a week
Hi Wonderland Smith, if you do your nail prep properly and ensure that the Poly Nail Gel is adhering to your nails properly, they can last a really long time. But if you use your hands in the water a lot and when there is a slight lift on your Poly Nail Gel nails, it's not going to last and can trap moisture between your Poly Nail Gel and natural nails which can cause green nails. So please make sure you do your nail prep properly before applying the Poly Nail Gel, so that you can have beautiful-looking nails for as long as possible! and Yes, please continue to wear cleaning gloves whenever you can, it really does help to make your nails last longer! :)

Hello, the current thickness might be insufficient. By "thin," we don't imply paper-thin. We mean it's less thick than the central (apex) section. Aim for a thickness slightly more than your current standard to ensure durability for everyday nail activities. Give it a try with a bit more thickness and let us know how it goes. Hope this helps 💗

If you find yourself in a situation where you're between sizes, it's always wiser to opt for the slightly larger dual form rather than the smaller one. The reason for this is that you can adjust the larger form to fit better. You can gently file down the edge near the cuticle or subtly curve the form's edge to align better with the natural shape of your nail. It's important to remember that 'slightly larger' is key here - the dual form should still be close in size to your nail. It needs to cover your nail from one side to the other completely. Using a form that's too small won't allow the polygel to fully cover your nail, resulting in gaps and an uneven application. Hope this helps :)

Polygel may not be ideal for everyone. If you experience any reactions after using it, please discontinue use immediately. Remember, gel products should not come into contact with the skin. It's also a good idea to consult with your doctor to identify any potential allergens you might have.
Awesome question! A slip solution is essentially an alcohol-based liquid that acts as a lubricant. It makes shaping and working with polygel a breeze, preventing it from sticking to the brush. This solution aids in smoothly applying the polygel on the nail for a neat and accurate finish. It's really handy for getting the perfect nail shape and thickness before you cure the polygel with a nail lamp. Without it, dealing with the sticky consistency of polygel can be quite tricky. You could read more here: glowtips.co.uk/products/glowtips-slip-solution-75ml?_pos=2&_sid=8c544d64e&_ss=r . Hope this clarifies your question :)
Thank you for this very informative video!! When you mean cure it for both sides, do you mean flipping the nail so the under part gets cured for 60 sec too?!
Yes, you can cure both sides by flipping the nail. We usually recommend this to beginners, as they might apply too much product and may not be sure how to check if it's fully cured. If you're just starting your polygel journey, curing both sides ensures thorough curing. Once you gain some experience and know how much polygel to apply to each nail and the appropriate curing time, you can cure just the front side since you'll have a better sense of the correct product amount. Hope this clarifies your question :)
Hi, we have a removal tutorial video, where you can watch it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RWENfvD79JU.html . Hope this helps :)
Yes, you can apply regular nail polish on top of poly gel nails. Just remember to use a base coat and top coat, and make sure each layer is completely dry before applying the next. Hope this helps! :)
Slip solution is made from isopropyl alcohol, acetone, and water so you could actually make it at home. If I've run out, sometimes I use alcohol gel (hand sanitizer) and it works fine and my nails have lasted 2 weeks+. However, I'm not sure what it does to the integrity of the gel, so use it at your discretion!
P.s don't use those individual ingredients alone on your nails! I believe slip solution is usually around 70% alcohol and then the rest is made up from water and acetone. Definitely do some research on it first :)
