In this glitter effect Photoshop tutorial, I'm going to show you how to make a diamond glitter texture that is perfect for crystal art. Crystal art is a very popular photo editing style on Tumblr and on Instagram.
I will show you how to make the diamond glitter from scratch in three different styles and briefly go over how to get the best results with this glitter effect with Photoshop blending mode adjustments.
This is not a tutorial on crystal art or Photo masking but rather creating the glitter texture needed for making stunning crystal art and glitter effects in Photoshop.

For the flair part, I think you should've turned that to a brush and in brush, settings check the color dynamic and scatter feature then tweak the settings there a bit to get the same even better multi-colored and random positioning look. Rest I liked the idea of how you created that glitters out of the noise filter.

8:04 V, Ctrl+T (когда-то давно знала какие-то вещи в фотошопе, сейчас все забыла - приходиться восстанавливать знания.) Пришлось в инете покопаться, чтобы понять как у вас появляется рамка вокруг круга, которую вы называете элементом управления. Почему-то у вас я вижу, что вы НЕ нажимаете Ctrl+T, а только V. Почему так? И мне кажется, что все лучи звездочек должны идти в одних и тех же направлениях, потому что источники света одни и те же для всех звездочек. Т.е. звездочки не надо разворачивать под разными углами.

Thank you so much for your tutorials you are a great teacher. I made the glitter and applied it to a the bg of a photo of my puppy who is all white and I made the glitter pink and added a pink plushy it came out so cute I plan to use them professionally also.

Omg ty I've been looking how to do this forever ty. Update: When I combined layers and tried to go to Filter Gallery it was grayed out Reference 12:35 . Not sure what I did wrong...but will make it a jpeg and take it to the filter gallery. Not sure what else to do. I did the Ctrl E. Update: It worked with the workaround! Thanks so much you are such an awesome teacher. I learned more about layers and groups by doing this. You are a Gem!

hi your videos are amazing , please can you help me im stuck on the flares , iv followed correctly right up to the bit where you go back to the file group you had already so i am unsure what to do once i have all the layers hue and sat do i select all and group or save as ? and how do i add them to the glitter design xx , and you say ~v~ to alter transform mine isn't coming up any advise ? thanks again

Thanks for amazing tutorial,but i have a problem with those beautiful sparkels , I made one of them as yours then saved it as a brush but when i use it i found it as not clear shape not shine at all on a black background and hardeness is not activate... please tell me what can i do to save and use it as a sparkel and shinny brush

Hi there .I was following to yours tutor instraction .When I created flares and used for created glitter effect it is was black colour background on my flayers background. I did follow all your steps .What I did wrong?

Make sure that you use the black background to see what you’re creating but make the flares on separate, transparent layers from the background

When you remove the shadows with the selection tool, try working with a higher range to get as much of the dark color out as possible. Also, try mixing different blending modes, this might help too.

In step to apply Color Range in layer 2, when I click to mark Shadows, the other options for fuzziness and range aren't visible, where I am wrong? :)

Shadows and highlights don't have a range because you are only affecting the white and black separately. Midtones has a range because it is a combination of black and white (gradation). You should have fuzziness, if not, make sure you are working in RBG mode.

Idk what’s going on with windows, photoshop and this feature, but I found a workaround: Right-click layer 2 in the layers panel and select duplicate layer (click okay). Then, click outside the transform box around the image until the curved double arrow appears, hold shift and rotate to 90 degrees. Hope this helps ♥️

Make sure to use a soft round brush (from default brushes) make the flair using white. Then add a white spot right in the center using the same soft round brush. It will be much brighter.

When you add noise, set it to uniform and monochromatic. If this doesn’t work try reducing the noise. Your graphics card may not be compatible the Photoshop GPU. Try it without the GPU. Launch Photoshop. Choose Edit > Preferences > Performance (Windows) or Photoshop > Preferences > Performance (macOS). Deselect Use Graphics Processor. Quit and relaunch Photoshop.
