What you need to remember is that he's not crying for the woman he got pregnant. He's crying about the baby. Throughout this horrible drama series, he abuses and torments the mother of his child and allows his girlfriend to do the same. The two of them make the pregnant woman's life a living hell. He forced her to sign a divorce agreement on their wedding night and intended to take away her baby after it was born. Don't pity this cold-blooded guy. The only person he feels sorry for is himself.
Actually his so called fiancee foisted the idea on her. She eventually suffers for her self serving error. The heart grows fonder and clears his mind when she leaves him. We learn through our mistakes.......as in real life.
You hit the nail right on the head. I despised him and Ana sooooo much. FL was treated so badly and she was pregnant with his child and they both stressed her out. How could he ask her to give up her child to him and that snake Ana. Plus later, he went back to Ana after FL left because of losing her child which Ana helped to cause.

I disagree with you a little bit. I think he had started to like her as a person by this point in the drama. It doesn't negate the points you made, but it does add a layer of complexity to this moment. While he is mainly sad about losing his baby, I think there is a part of him that recognizes the agony of her loss as part of his own loss. At this moment it was THEIR baby, not just his or hers. So his immature and self-centered behavior and thinking is for perhaps the first time moderated by genuine empathy and willingness to think of others first. Imo he's crying for their mutual loss, not just his own. I had a hard time thinking of him as a genuinely bad man. He was young, selfish, arrogant and stupid, but the kernel of decency that led to their initial entanglement was always there. The FL was right to leave him, and even more right to make him prove himself worthy of her regard, but neither of them was a cutout black and white figure. What makes this drama so memorable despite its many ridiculously melodramatic moments is that character complexity.
@@RC-yb5dpI wouldn't describe it as 'going back to Ana'.... Didn't he always intend to divorce the FL and resume his relationship with Ana? So in a sense he hadn't actually left Ana. The marriage was strictly business from his viewpoint. Part of the reason Ana was able to swing the FL in the first place was because she felt, with some justification, that she'd disrupted the relationship between the original couple. Actually I didn't despise him for clinging to Ana after the FLs departure.... I pity him for being such a stupid and low EQ being. He really didn't have a clue. The FL made the break with him because of her misunderstanding of the induced abortion, but she was very wise to get and stay far away from him.

The fact that she was awake for this procedure is not correct. I lost my baby at 15 weeks and I had to have a D&C done - they put you out for that. If the pregnancy was farther along they would induce your labor and you would give birth to a stillborn - some hospitals give you the option of seeing and holding your stillborn as a way to say goodbye. She didn't look very far along - no baby bump . This whole thing really made me cry - you never get over the loss of a baby. Very sad scene at the end.

This was the major turning point in the story. Up to this point I found both the ML and FL too immature and emotionally naive. While losing their baby was hard, imo both of them - and their relationship - was better in the long run as a result.
