Hey guys!
Last week was a bit hectic but I managed to film this one for ya! I tried desperately to make Ms. Spink and Forcible from Coraline but, alas, they look more like Sea Monkeys in my opinion 😝 Either way, I wanted to post it because it was still really fun to work on, despite my inner rage (thanks, menstrual cycle) 😡 and my kitty knocking my planter with my favorite rubber plant over (plant survived btw 🌱). Anyway, hope you enjoy spending a little time with me!!

I’ve never watched Coraline, but these came out good!! I can’t believe you’re able to sculpt so tiny! 😱 Also thanks for being open about your cycle, as I get older I feel the same way and I’m glad I’m not alone! 😮‍💨 You’re cats are cute as ever and they make my heart want to burst from cuteness as well ❤ 🥹 rip you’re plant tho

Thank you so much!! I’m glad you liked the nails 💖 they were so fun to make (even if they tested my patience 😆). Also, ughh, dealing with cycle stuff is really hard sometimes...I've grown up being told not to complain about it because "it's not that bad", but for some people, it can be pretty hard physically and mentally. You're not alone!! 😓 ♥️ Hahah my cats have a way of stealing the show with their cuteness- so happy to hear they brightened your day too! 😸 As for the plant- I managed to save it! I flew to get a new planter the following day and she even grew a new leaf 😅🌱

Hocus pocus is my fav Halloween movie… but can u believe I’ve still not seen the new one? These nails are so good! You did SO. MUCH. WORK!!! Sea monkey or coraline…..they’re still amazing!

Thank you!! 💕 Omggg Hocus Pocus is my favorite Halloween movie too!!! I quote it year-round 🤣 so much so that now my husband does it 😆 I haven't watched the new one either- I was afraid it wouldn't be as good as the first 😩

Every Halloween MTV would have Halloween specials when I was younger and my favorite all time is “Rocky Horror Picture Show” love it so much! ❤ u r so creative. I love watching your thought process!

Oh my goodness, these are such intense sculptures! And the character design for these two are quite complex, so I think it makes a lot of sense that they were harder to sculpt than you first anticipated. I think you might have cut yourself short by not drawing the references, because I think of drawing out a reference as a way to think through the different design elements and how to simplify them to fit onto a nail. I think the hands and wrappers, especially the twisted ends you added!, came out perfectly. I wonder if the clay being translucent was part of the struggle with the characters? I kept getting confused by seeing the black from inside the mouth shining through from other angles; the taffy I've seen is sort of milky because of all the air in the candy.

Thank you so much for the feedback! ♥️ You’re absolutely right-Spink and Forcible were definitely more complex than expected, and looking back, drawing out references would’ve been a big help in breaking down the design elements. I’ll definitely keep that in mind for future sculpts! 😊 The hands and wrappers were such a fun challenge, so I’m really happy you liked how those turned out! And yes, I think the translucent clay added to the struggle 🥴, especially with the black showing through the mouths from different angles. I love your observation about the taffy’s texture too. I figured the translucency would help give them more of a Jolly Rancher look but I should have stuck with the initial taffy texture! Thank you again for your kind words and insights! 💖

I loooove the colors so much 😍 we've been watching spooky movies since the start of September to get in the Halloween spirit. I just finished Scream 1-4. Trick or Treat was also so good if you haven't seen that one.

The lightning is fine. It’s the audio. Sounds clear one sec and muffled like your walking away from the mic. But my 4 year olds fav movie at the moment is coraline. We watch it 3-4 times a day.
