One of the many things I love about watching you create in your videos is that you actually use designer papers in your cards. So many card makers don't use them, and that leaves people like me who hoards paper pads but who doesn't have a lot of their own creative ideas coming up short. These all turned out so lovely, I love how you used the paper scraps. I must say the blue one with the sea theme is my favorite because those are my favorite colors and themes. I'm chomping out scraps, now!! It takes me too long to make a card otherwise. I have one idea in my head, and I get waaaay off course..I need to focus, have embellishments Ready To Go, and Keep It Simple.😏 Love your Candle,and Circle cards.

Oh Sam congratulations I think I was one of your first subscribers when you first started making videos, cutlery make for your table, Halloween projects for the children at school, and here we are today making projects that are family and friends are amazed at and it's all down to you Sam without your dedication to crafting I would not be be able to create such beautiful creations. Whoop, whoop!! It’s scraps that we need, to make all these back grounds with glue and with speed. Candles all sizes Sam starts with first, then circles and punches and layering with thanks. Triangles look pretty, Hydrangea paper too! With added holographic and embossed paper in blue. 5 backgrounds all finished and ready to use!! Thanks for these fab ideas xx
All 5 of the cards are beautiful. And to think they were made with scraps. My favorite was the last one. Again, looks beautiful but was so easily done. Thank you for sharing your talents and ideas. They are both great.
They ARE fantastic! Wish you had put all of them in the still shot for the video, so I could easily find them again. The candles were brilliant (I thought even I could do that-haha)! Loved it all the way through from the first to the last example (you had me at holographic)!
Great ideas. I think my best tip for using cardmaking scraps is to "use as you go." I have a tendency to work on one card/one style of card at a time, so breaking that habit and using the scraps on a second card/set of cards, or at least setting up for use on them is a gamechanger and helps me to actually throw away useless scraps. It's also helpful that the theme work is done - I have a hard time picking out colors that go together. Some people have a rule of "no scraps saved smaller than x", but my hoarder mind says "but that's still good for...", so I go ahead and die cut the smaller scraps right then and file in a dollar store pocket photo album, for use. I also cut out/stamp extra sentiments on scraps every time I card make.
If you've ever made ATCs (artist trading cards), twinchies and inchies (little tiny art squares, 1x1 or 2x2) then it becomes very very difficult to throw away even little slivers of paper! "Ooh, those could make an interesting effect, as stripes across an inchie!"
4 and 5 my favs with this one, 3 would be my next choice. All are lovely but I am more of a symmetrical, floral person so the floral papers appeal to me more. You have some amazing ideas Sam and i love watching you and your cardmaking skills. Thank you so much for your time.
