For future reference, Vornclex only freezes lands that are tapped for mana after he's on the battlefield to see them tap for mana. Not a critique, just a fun FYI.

Ukkima, stalling shadow deck. This is a deck I've built awhile back and finally was able play last night. Simply put. He is the main combo: Pili-pala + Grand Architect = pay one blue, makes infinite mana of any colour until end of turn. Then, Cast Triskaidekaphile. = infinite card draw. (You dont actually need those infinite combos if you already have the mana to cast the next few cards and have them in hand or on field. ) Then cast either Pest Infestation or Wolfbriar Elemental. = infinite tokens or just a shit load of tokens. Then cast Ukkima. Then cast Echoing Equation. = All creatures i contol become copies Ukkima. And because of the legendary rule they all explode but 1. Triggering Ukkima's ability giving me infinite or alot of damage though wherever I want and life. Alot of life. The deck is built where this type of outcome can be performed with several different combos.

Just for clarification, not that it matters to this game, but Vorinclex needs to see the opponents lands tap before they don't untap on the next untap step.

@@Edricama Unfortunately I think she just got excited, and didn't realise it wasn't a legal cast - cascade is specifically MV less than, so she couldn't have cast Apex of Power. Didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things

Love the vibe you all have! Olivia telling someone they have to win within two turns if they rift isn't ok though imo. It's less of a setback than a board wipe and most can rebuild in the two turns she expected the game to end in. In the future please don't tell people what they have to do in a casual game where everyone is having a good time. That just rubbed me the wrong way because no one else felt that way. If you're hungry, eat before streaming.

Not that it mattered this time, but Vorinclex doesn’t prevent lands that were already tapped for mana from untapping. Just ones tapped once he’s in play. Also, great game!!

When Apex devestator is on the stack, you cannot count its power for Rishkars Expertise when you cascade into it. It (the devastator) is not yet in play. So you draw 7 (Vorinclex's power) instead of 10. Also the Vorinclex thing, the lands that are tapped for mana from then on do not untap for a turn. The lands that were already tapped untap as normal. Not that it matters for the outcome of this game.

28:23 - I think Olivia had infinite turns available right here. If not, it was quite a few turns. She had the mana to make 2 more servos with foundry, saccing the 3 tokens, Breya and mana vault to take the extra turn. Next turn she recasts Breya, uses Hanna's ability to bring back mana vault to hand and recasts it. Use that mana to make another servo then sac that and the 2 thopters, Breya and the mana vault. Take another turn. Assuming you're drawing into lands and more mana rocks this should be able to go infinite as you have a mana or 2 to spare at the end of each turn when you make the last servo. She would also be drawing at least 3 cards per turn because of the Archmage. I believe the game was over at this point.

at the point casting apex predator it didnt matter anymore what happend after that.. But for clearity, 1 you dont draw 10 cause apex still on the stack, and 2 apex of power is also 10 cmc and cant cast that on cascade of Apex predator. small detail, but anyway Awesome content!

Ouch, the irony. TappyToeClaws joking about the cheat-step, when 2 turns earlier she tapped her mox amber for green with only Jodah out. (To cast Birds of paradise). I know it was on accident, but still... She would have had access to green mana the next turn with Commander Sphere tho. (But I don't know if she then could still pay WUBRG)

Awesome game and energy as always! The power levels of the decks seemed to be a lil warped in that Tappy and Olivia seemed to be a bit higher.. They had some truly monstrous turns! But any deck can not get the right draws at the right time and vice versa so could have just been that. Power aside I have to give the genius moment sash of honour to Eli for the censoring ribbit bit! Made me smile. :) gg

I don't know if it has already been said. But so many mistakes on Tappy's last turn. Cascade has to be less than the original spells MV. So Apex of Power would not have been cast. Rishkar's expertise would not have seen the Apex Devastator. Cyclonic Rift returns to hand and Olivia put her Marionette would not have gone to the graveyard. She also did not have enough to cast the Karn's Temporal Sundering.

Olivia twice got pissed with people casting or threatening to cast board wipes. Meanwhile, she played time sieve and took two extra turns with no "way to win". Just seems a little hypocritical and a petty thing to call out. I'm glad the other players were good sports, and great win Tappy :) On a side note, after Olivia's second extra turn, it should have gone to Ellie's turn since it was Tappy's turn when that happened.

Watching the Breya player was very frustrating. You're gonna drop over $2k worth of cards just to do 3 damage to someone? She easily could have won with the time sieve and foundry.

nice game! you couldn't draw 10 with rishkar's though. Apex devastator was still on the stack, not on the battlefield. surely , at this point it was over anyway

Not that it matters at all for the outcome, but the Apex Devastator wouldn't be on the board yet for the Rishkar's Expertise. It goes on the stack first and resolves last with its cascades being cast triggers, not ETB's 🙃

Forgive my asking if it was said before, but what was the downfall of Cause for Commander? It's such a shame because it was a really fun group and a great cause(s). Sadness aside, that was a nutso game! Tappy makes me happy.

The TL:DR is I overcomplicated how we shot it so it took way too long for the editors to finish. By the time I could get back around to doing it, it was so long since we shot it.

I find it interesting how often Olivia plays a deck with a commander I've also built. I recently finished building a Breya deck with Treasures as a primary win-con (Revel in Riches, Mechanized Production)... And, of course, all of the Breya artifact shenanigans (Sword of the Meek, Thopter Foundry, Time Sieve, Ashnod's Altar, Nim Deathmantle, Karn, the Great Creator, Mycosynth Lattice, etc.). Also, I liked Jar Jar Binks as a kid... As an adult, he's alright.
