Walk from the Secession, Karlsplatz to Michaelerplatz and the finish at Michaelerplatz. The exhibition building of the Vienna Secession, colloquially known as the Secession, was built in 1897/98 by Joseph Maria Olbrich as an exhibition building for contemporary art and is one of the most important buildings of the Austrian Secession style (Art Nouveau). The exhibition building is still operated today by the Vienna Secession Association of Visual Artists.
