The only reason they record these in 4k is so that the horrible flickering/shimmering/anti aliasing is less apparent. After the first few videos they probably freaked out how bad the game looked and bought a 4k monitor. Too bad everyone else gets screwed ;)
Shame they don't have any later versions of the centurion in the game, which fought the t55 more than the m60 and was the most popular NATO tank during the same time period.
Maybe when/if you fix postwar ammo the M60 RISE would be the 'better' tank. But right now the regular APCBC/APHE of the T55 is far better for 90% of tanks. You gotta think of the opposition aswell. The T55 is going to do great vs XYZ-70's but the M60 RISE won't do so well vs T64's. And for downtiers the T55 is absolutely fantastic. APCBC with a stab & highpen rounds just eats everything for breakfast.
For an average player, how many months does it take to get to these tanks? And then to play an another time with them...due to big time of repair ... it would be time to change some things, because to see these maps and these tanks in video, that's quite cool, but it's better if we could play with it, without waiting a year...
SETHalpine with and average of three ours per day like 4/5 months if you use your boosters wisely , you also get a booster playing the first assault mission of the day.
Thanks for yours answers, even if it wasn't really a question ...a critic indeed. ;) i guess that after 8 months, perhaps more..i'm reaching high tier, but from my point of view, it's very long to reach this range of tanks. And finally i prefer low tier....in terms of reasonnable time : it's quite "impossible" to reach, especially if you aim tanks AND airplanes
yeah hahaha. the sweet spot in warsawthunder were everything falls in place are tiers 1,2 and 3. tier 6 seems "balanced" so far , but its still quite costly.
SETHalpine you know there are mixed battles? Just play in a tank when you want to research tanks, and go in cas if you want to research planes. That might be a good option
panter 2, panter A,D,F,G tiger 2 P and H need br increase to 7.7 atleast.... cuz why not ? also remove aphe explosive filler so it might be used as regular ap shell, then maybe it will do some dmg. should i continue sarcasm or you get it ?

The t55a... what an amazing tank. In real life and in game. U know that feeling when u just know u gonna do good in a tank. Both t62 and t55a give me that feeling.
Who would research the T62 to get the T55 when you can get the T64 for almost the same RP price Who would research the AOS when you can get the MBT70 for almost the same RP price
Well ofcoruse the T55 wins in mobility and armour, Because nobody uses HEAT based projectiles at 8.7 (APFSDS galore) On the other hand, The M60 has the gun. Which makes the T55 an excellent brawler and since 90% of the time abondoned factory is the usual map, The T55 wins...(russian yet again..)

Puma got much better shots (at least in WT game logic), and sooooo much better mobility (87km/h? Gaijin must come out this speed stats from free fall). What is there to compare?

There are several moments where you can see the tests are rigged or messed up. Like at 1:46 if you watch the M60 it turns slightly before they start pivoting, or at 2:03 the T-55 stops turning twice when the camera focuses on the M60
The already great M60A1? You are kidding right? Also, pretty pointless to have a comparison like this when the alpha dogs of the tier are T64 and MBT70 that will absolutely wreck these two.
Nico B t55 doesn't see t64 in RB which are harder to kill than mbt70. The t55 has a greater advantage. Also 72000 for good apfsds round rather than 206,000.
Hello Warthunder! I fell in love with your game just after playing my first battle! I have heard that You are going to add modern tanks to the game, white I find as a good idea. On the other hand, I would love to play some WWI tanks (especially the Mark IV or the german behemoth K-wagen). Will You consider adding those to Your awesome game?

Have u even manage to take a consideration about accepting those documents sent by players that suggesting the gun shield of M60A1 is about over 254mm? Am I foolish enough to not knowing that I can pen the shield so easily?
The Mature people 4real I have both. Tiger ii has better mobility very slightly worse turret armor formally speaking only great hull side armor and frontal hull armor and the gun is ok but fails to pen upper glacius of t29 at any range. It can shoot through the mantlet of t29 and pierce the 25mm spall sheild and kill the tank. The t29s only advantage is the strong turret and good gun its mobility is lacking. My opinion the Tiger 2 is better only marginally. Because t29 has many weakspots and tiger 1 can shoot under mantlet and it will detonate fragging the ammo through the roof that is quite weak
Neutral steer isn't as good as it should be so actually the T-54 lost that turning fight. You didn't mention angle on the hulls which is important because as well as increasing effective thickness, the armour pen value drops.
not necessarily since the leo is faster, if I'm not mistaken, I think the turret rotates faster as well, but I don't have the game open so I can't check
tataveve_ angel The Leo is faster, has a better reload time and a wider gun arch (-9° 20° vs -6° 9°), while the STB-1 has better armour and better climbing.
So if the M60A1 RISE is better than a T-55A, why do they both get a BR of 8.7? Wouldn't it make more sense to lower the T-55A's BR if it's supposedly worse than an M60A1 RISE?
njits23 Any vehicle that causes even a slight challenge to British and American tankers make them complain in the community, and Soviet and German tankers find themselves at an enormous disadvantage. Soviet and German ww2 tanks are seeing 1955 tanks at the same br, while Soviet and German guns need to aim at weakspots, the British and American guns point and click anywhere in the enemy armor, at the same br.
TBH, I don't actually know what playing American high tier tanks are like, but I've never had much trouble playing most Soviet, German and British vehicles. I was just trying to point out a discrepancy in their balancing.
I think it is because of the smaller profile and slightly better turning is why the t-55 is at the same BR. Since neither tank can survive on the front lines, that would mean that ambushes or flanking would need to be done, which the t-55 would have an advantage. I don’t have ether vehicle so this is just speculation using info from the video.
Seems a bit unfair comparing an effectively base model T-55A against a M60 with ERA packages - surely the more appropriate competition would be between a M60A1 RISE (P) and a T-55 w/ ERA (AMV/AM2B etc), or a T-55A and a M60A1?
T-54/55 was not better than the M-60 because it was planned to be created in large numbers. Who would win 200 m60 vs 600 t-54/55 ? Of course the russian tanks because even if they were REALLY bad they would have won. Nice video

Seriously love the RISE. Almost more than the MBT. Love trolling ATGMs. It has very good survivability. Even hit and pinned you have a good chance of surviving. More than likely the MBT will be killed in 1 shot

Few things wrong with this.... First, RISE with ERA is 1980+ version, while T55A is 1960.. so comparing these two makes no sense... instead compare M60A1 without ERA.. and regarding ambushes, size of M60A1 makes no difference.. it has better gun depression therefore can hide more effectively... which means its much better at ambushing than T55A which cannot utilize reverse slope ambushes at all...

Comparing a basic version of a vehicle (T-55A) against a bit reworked and somewhat upgraded M-60A1, it seems like comparing apples and oranges .At the time the T-55A was designed and started to be produced NO ONE knew about explosive reactive armor as far as I know ( and I'm pretty sure I'm right) but you see this yank tank is buffed up with additional E.R.A and probably a couple of other innovations . So not a fair comparison AT ALL Really
The T-55A has no business at 8.7, it was barely acceptable at 8.3. Also, the 3BM25 APFSDS round on the T-55A is worse than the stock M728 APDS shot for the M60 RISE, let's not even mention the M735 APFSDS.....
no this was was actually quite accurate(unlike the T-64A vs MBT-70 video), M60 is the winner by a very slightly difference but he cupola totally ruins that tank.
