Just some thoughts and shared experience on Royal Marines recruit training. Hope it helps! .... just checked my endurance time and it was 63 minutes... not 59 minutes.... not sure where I got that from..lol
I'm 15 and want to join at 16 I don't know how you passed it all 1st time 😂👍 I've been takin up swimming for a start going to be takin up running soon...
I want to join the marines however... I have a permanent fracture to the top of index finger on my weak hand.. do u think I will pass my medical and have u seen other marines with similar problems ?
You would probably have to disclose this on the medical and be assessed.... You may struggle in training if it affects your hand function... i.e rope climbs... Phys.. weapon handling etc.... I personally did not come across others with this....
Interesting. Does this training make any difference? Where has this been proven? Uniforms, bands and being a good runner may be all BS. Where have the RM demonstrated being better in a battle situation. It has come out that even SAS "training" does not produce better soldiers and in fact there is no evidence that SAS or RM react any better in combat. I am a 82nd ABN Div verteran and while I did enjoy the training, fitness, travel and jumping I am not sure it made a different when the first shot was fired. There is no way to plan for that, none. I do beieve mental training and how the brain works should be more focused on. It is all a mind game and meditation, visualization and such should be a major part of any training but espcially military training. There are more mistakes, friendly fire and firing at non targets than actually engaging an enemy.
