It’s interesting! I was based at DCA; one day I walked to the White House for tourist photos. A Black Lives Matter protest was happening. A SS SUV was overturned and people jumping on it and yelling, otherwise pretty calm….. still couldn’t believe how the SS car was overturned. There was a SS standing next to his SUV with his service dog, so wanting to see the GSD and show pics of mine. I walk right up to him, ask to pet the dog, ask to give him water; we spoke for a while about the protest and different issues and my faves to all police etc, “Don’t you get scared?”as we’re talking, I asked about the SUV being overturned, and I DONT remember exactly what he said, but something about “picking battles”. I understand this in most theories, but how do you get close enough to overturn an SS vehicle directly in front of the White House? He was Black, my ethnicity is Arab, I had on shorts, sneakers, tank top and backpack. Then I asked why he wasn’t afraid of me coming up to him so fast and practically making out with his dog and a backpack! He just laughed, but didn’t answer me. I said, if I was “White” would you have been afraid, again he just laughed!

I hate that when people stand around. I saw a guy swallow his tongue in a grand mal seizure and people started debating what to do. They were talking about getting a spoon or a wallet while the guy was turning blue, not breathing at all but his mouth was wide open. I got two big guys to hold his jaw open the best they could and stuck my finger in his throat to trigger his gag reflex. It worked, he spit his tongue back out and turned pink again. Then they all got on board like they saved his life lol.
I think I found former President Trump's reaction the most fascinating. He recognized and acknowledged the violence yet stood up in triumph and pumped his fist for a nation to fight against destruction. The cherry on top for me, besides him not staying down & crawling out was his unwavering calm in the situation making the statement "Let me get my shoes". Who the heck would even be aware that they had or didnt have shoes. His reaction was amazing to me and I hope you guys cover it. Thanks again for all you do.
Years ago my boyfriend at the time was on leave from Vietnam. We were on a street corner when a car backfired. He was on the ground before I knew it. Muscle memory for sure. He was embarrassed considering the context. I was crying because of his experience.

“If you see something, say something.” A few years back I “saw something” - unusual construction vehicles driving down a right of way in the country after 6:00 p.m., building a large, code-violating structure, and packing-up and leaving at 6:00 a.m. the next morning. My paranoid TBI-survivor neighbor saw it to and said, “This is not right! We got to do something!” So we did. We called the FBI’s 1-800 number and reported what we saw. Their investigation revealed it was a budding site of an Arab terror cell. They were building a large structure to house many people, multiple garages, AND a mosque inside the huge structure! The FBI arrested the 5 young Arab men and closed down the site. Moral of the story: “If you see something, say something!”

I found the mystery woman and her husband/brother in this footage. You can see them walking together, with him guiding her along at 36:26. Pause the screen there, and from the right side of the screen, count to the left about 7 people. It appears she was there with the guy in the red shirt and a blonde buzz cut. He also shows up next to her on the right side in the actual shooting video we've all seen so much. They were in the V.I.P. section of the stands. SOMEBODY that organized that rally knows who they are !!
My family and I couldn’t understand why no one reacted like we THOUGHT they should. Being Canadian we just attributed it to Americans being accustomed to guns being fired. Now watching this we understand. Thankyou for explaining this you guys. ❤
One time I was at IAH airport and suddenly we heard an alarm with a tone and a voice saying to evaluate the terminal immediately. No one was reacting at all - they were walking around (away from the exits), looking at their phones, and eating. I asked a gate agent if I should evacuate and she said that if I left the building I would not be able to come back in. I thought, "But what about the alarm?!?" Crazy. There was no announcement saying to ignore the alarm.
Take this for what it's worth. I'm a former member of the ADF and did 12 years in the infantry. When I was done with that I ended up in corporate, aviation and court security. My very first job at the beginning was helping provide security at one of our Australian universities over several graduation nights. You got to appreciate here that 80 percent of our students nowadays come from trouble spots in the world. At some point during the first evening the university set off it's own scheduled fire works without warning. In the blink of an eye, a good 50 percent of those students were on the ground. The rest were in heard mentality. And I'll never forget the look on the face of a student closest to me. It was a look of abject terror. Sad really. An eye opener to me also...
I dated two different men who served in Viet Nam. They were never really relaxed, they seemed always on alert. One would wake up in the middle of the night sweating in fear, the other tackled me down to the ground in the reptile house at a New York zoo because he heard a loud noise. He was trained to save my life. This was so hard to deal with, I cannot imagine how it was to live inside of them. Both were unmedicated but in lifetime therapy meetings. After the zoo, I was horrified at the impairment of everyday wellbeing these people suffered.They told me basically there is no rest from post traumatic distress.

I also want to see another angle of where the local police or how far away they are standing. Trump events are boisterous and you're right that people who train in the academy might focus with their own instincts. It's pretty crappy that our country doesn't trust their neighbors. Social Media is a net negative or lack of responsibility put on the platforms. Now these new mental illnesses, I don't think all shooters are mentally ill. Some are just pissed at the world and were never taught how to express their feelings by their parents. As for this shooting. It sounded like two guns or weapons from different distances. So Greg, my calm response during the shooting/rally is because my neuropathways/ brain has been trained because I'm a retired ER nurse? I had zero fear. I got down and snarled for my husband to stay down but I was very calm. Until ten p.m. when I began shaking internally as though I consumed too much caffeine for the next 24 hours.
I'm the same way. I focus in and act as needed in emergencies. But yes, later on is when everything hits and it's not pretty. It literally hurts coming down. My specialty is Disaster Recovery. It is an ideal career for me because I don't get flustered in high stress or dangerous situations. But that come down once the danger isn't present is tough.
When Greg is talking about training your brain for sounds... as a submariner we joke about how we wake up in alert mode when the fan gets shut off. On a submarine the fans are always running, circulating the air. The first thing that happens in an emergency (fire, clooding, hazmat leak, etc) is shut off the fans. So yeah... we all train our brains without thinking about it.
I read that police saw this kid was moving through the buildings before Trump started speaking. Why didnt they stop Trump from getting on the stage until they stopped this threat?? Seems very odd. And I would have been the woman who is yelling that someone is crawling on the roof WITH A RIFLE!! I would have definitely found a police officer immediately to investigate. I guess the officer who did climb up and saw the guy turn and point the gun at him fell back off his perch. I can't imagine why the SS didnt think that the bldg with a slanted roof would need to be covered w SS as a major problem!

I am really disappointed in your analysis. First of all you did not look at the woman behind Trump, who through this all stopped, stood up and viewed it through her phone recording which is what I was really hoping for in your analysis second the people who saw the man on the roof were primarily vendors who had been to many many Trump rallies, and the number of them had commented earlier in the day that there didn’t seem to be as many Secret Service as at previous rallies when they were on every roof so they were comparing this man to what they had seen before not movies when Trump was shot. The people didn’t move because the Secret Service said get down and quite a number of people began to say the Lords prayer - that is something that the news did not record and and there were also quite a number of combat vets in the audience because the girlfriend of mine said that her boyfriend tackled her to the ground. In addition, you will notice that the person who was shot and killed - you people who think that this was set up -is crazy, the person who was shot and killed dove on his wife and daughter to protect them from bullets The hysterical screaming is the young daughter realized that her father‘s brains were on her shirt to the people who think this is set up THINK. would you stand in front of a 20 year-old who was told he couldn’t be on the rifle team because he was such a HORRIBLE shot and tell that 20-year-old shoot my ear off just for the hell of it. it’s ridiculous. I don't criticize the woman who had trouble holstering her gun. She was not adequately qualified for the job. This is not her "fault", it is the fault of whoever put her in that position.
It wasn't right that she and the other two females were put on this duty. They were too short, too untrained, not their fault. The one that was trying to protect President Trump by trying to protect him with her own body did the best that she could. I'm sure that if she were a foot and a half taller she would have done the same. By the way, I read a report by Western Journal that Jill Biden was near Pittsburg on the same day. Some SS agents were deployed from Trump to protect her. Could it be that the three females were a replacement for Trump's taller, more experienced agents?
Chase, I am interested to know if the person with very odd body language was the woman near the front with sunglasses. I have seen multiple videos saying her name is Janeen Diguiseppi. Apparently, she is the assistant director for the FBI. I do not know if this is 100% accurate, but I am interested in knowing more information about this woman. Her body language seems so off, and her constantly recording is so odd. I understand the social media reward behind filming, but if she works for the FBI, then she wasn't filming for social media. Can you and the team shine some light on this woman, please?
i totally agree. her body language was very strange. no fear just sitting there with her camera out filming it all with her big big sunglasses. after they moved Trump she was no longer seen
I'm a hunter (for nearly 40yrs), Guns & Archery...though I understand sound can carry & be deceiving dependingon environment, there is a specific sound to gunfire vs fireworks.
Listen to this and Scott's story about the fire was an eye opener to me. Mother's day last year, me, my husband and 4 kids were all having a lazy day, it was about noon and half of us were still in pjs. Our ring doorbell went off while my husband and i were upstairs, I go to the window and see people in our front yard and across the street and one goes says that our next door neighbor's house was on fire. I turn and start screaming for my husband and kids to get out of the house. We were out in like 2 to 3 mins. I know what can happen if the wind blows. We come out and everyone is standing there, i go up to the neighbor who golfs with the owner of the burning house, asking if they got out, blank stare. No one thought to even think about it. I jump into action and ended up notifying the husband and wife on the phone about the fire. It was the hardest thing to do and everyone sent the cop and fire chief over to our house to get info since i was the one talking to the owners. But what really made me angry, once the fire was out, ths neighbor across the street was laughing with the reporter who came and gave an interview. Someone's tragedy was just a game to them. Made me sick.
I still cry every time I see it. Partly because I hear people screaming in terror and know for a few people there it is the worst day of their lives, and it will never be the same. My adult daughter was killed two years ago by an armed robber. I guess this is what being "triggered" means.

It's funny...I was coming in to our upscale condo and heard what my brain identified as someone tossing something heavy in an empty dumpster. So, I was walking from the parking lot to our door with no particular urgency when my husband comes flying out and yells at me to get inside. He's looking around behind me at the parking lot and he says "where did the flash grenade come from!?" I am thinking he has lost his mind. It is broad daylight there was nobody in the parking lot, nothing is out of the ordinary except my husband. He can tell from the look on my face that I have no idea what he is talking about so he is like "I heard the flash grenade clearly... in the house, you were out here how did you not hear it!?" I put it together with the sound I did hear but my brain was still certain that someone just threw something in an empty dumpster. RIght about then, the police officer who lives in the condo across from ours comes walking up with his dog and the first thing out of his mouth is "who is throwing flash grenades?!". So, at that point I have decided that ALL men watch too many movies and they see war everywhere. I tell them both my assessment of their mental health problems and go in the condo leaving them to their shared delusion😂. As it would turn out, there was a police stand off taking place in the complex across the street and the police had indeed thrown a flash grenade into the residence where the suspect was. Both my husband who had been in the military and the cop acoss from us knew exactly what it was despite there being no visual evidence of anything out of the ordinary at all, and the fact that it was wholly out of context to have flash grenades exploding in an upscale suburb. My non-combat brain was 100% certain it was someone throwing something in a dumpster which is why humans make such lousy witnesses.

Those people who noticed the guy on the roof did inform police of what they saw. That’s why a cop went up to the roof seconds before the shooting started. There’s a BBC interview with one of those bystanders. It was available within a couple hours from the time of the event.

I'm not done the video yet but you guys missed a HUGE point about the bystander effect--the civilians sounding the alarm were expressing concerns to ARMED POLICE OFFICERS. They passed off the responsibility to the people who were there that were assigned that responsibility--and trained to handle that kind of responsibility. Then the officers did nothing. THAT is the main problem.
False. You need to watch the congressional hearings regarding this matter. Secret service knew about the shooter being up on the roof 57 minutes before Trump even got on stage. And that is the problem right there.

She wasn’t holding her camera up, she was hiding behind her sign, then when the shot came she smirked again and had her phone right there. I’m kind of surprised about how the secret service let trump stand straight up with a clear frontal view of him. Then letting him fist pump to the crowd? Very weird. I remember when Reagan was shot, the secret service threw him into the limo like a piece of luggage. Then the limo got the hell out of there.

I love your analysis. I found you guys from watching the Chris Watts video a while ago. I thought the body language of the crowd behind Trump to be the most interesting part of the entire ordeal. The strange anomalies in the crowd that Chase mentioned make it almost spooky. If I could make a suggestion: while you gentlemen are discussing the video footage, I’d love for you to play the actual footage on a loop, so that us as viewers are able to observe the body language as you are calling it out. Especially with this particular case, since there are so many people.
I have so many questions. Why wasnt that building covered by Secret Service.? Why did the Trump Secret Service wait till the shooter fired before they took him out? Why didnt didnt the police officer shoot when he had him on the roof? How did he get a ladder into the site? Secret Service fails big time.

I keep waiting for someone to mention the 2 women right below Trumps right arm as he's pointing. It's not really noticeable on their clips. Both have blonde hair and red hats/shades. If you see a better clip , zoom in just as one holding"... Fired" sign the one behind takes her sign and makes a circling with her sign behind 1st one. Like a clock. They look at each other real quick and the one behind makes a sign with her hand. Almost like she's doing sign language and obvious. She takes her right hand she makes a C then closes it like this 🤜. As soon as she does that you hear the shot. They both look like they are locking eyes way ahead of them. And slowly go down. Once you see it, you can't unsee it! Mark now has me looking at Ultra guy! Regardless of which side you're on, Trump's ingrained ability to sell a moment is on full display and kind of impressive when he is about to get escorted off the stage, takes notice of the opportunity with the photogs below and the crowd waiting for a sign from him, firmly instructs his secret service team to "WAIT wait", and then BAM! The perfect shot... Which btw i didn't like that in the resulting picture, a waving American flag was seemingly edited in which made it look like an even cooler shot but it wasn't necessary considering what happened and the picture said a lot on its own. There was no flag right above them in videos.
The worst moment of my adult life was one of those fight or flight moments. Its true - how you *think* you’ll respond is a bias. I knew I didnt stand a chance in fight and I was backed into a corner so no flight…so my brain chose “diffuse” 🙌🏻 hands up trying to calm down the guy. I hadnt even realized what I did until someone told me afterwords 😵💫 thats basic instinct right there - you dont get to decide how you’ll respond (at least not without training).

This reminds me of a good book I can recommend by Amanda Ripley: “The Unthinkable: Who survives when disaster strikes - and why”. It's about historical catastrophes about survivors, e.g. civilians, police, firefighters, soldiers. You learn what can make you survive unusual situations like a fire and why some people become heroes and others bystanders with their phones out.

I'd guess that if she is an FBI agent or FBI higher-up (or part of Secret Service for that matter), then she may be in plain clothes to blend into the crowd and could be communicating with other FBI and Secret Service agents via a wireless hidden lav microphone near enough to her mouth and be wearing a wireless mic earpiece to assist and/or direct in the rally security detail and using her cell phone camera to try to record possible additional evidence of what was unfolding and happening at the time.
Wow Chase, thank you for sharing. Much of your described experience sounds like what my son went through. He passed about 8 years ago at 28 years old; OTC medication overdose. Not that his was the same as yours…he never opened up very much. He DID tell me at one point that he felt that he wasn’t sure that he was part of our family…that I was really his mom or his dad was really his dad. We didn’t know how to help…we did our best. It got messy and sad and ugly…I give glory to God that you have realized that something was “off” for you, and that you spoke to your family. I wish you the best of all things good, of all God’s blessings.
