🛑!CORRECTION!🛑 Slight mistake in the video for measurements: 50 FT = 15.2 M (not 1.52 M) WOE Paracord Store ▶ paracordweavers.com/?sca_ref=6422991.Yrw6WNlrgE GET MY FREE EBOOK ▶ www.weaversofeternity.com/freebook
Do you know that you can flip each loop into a (kind of) cow hitch, bring the new line through, and flip back the new knot, just like you can flip reef knots (square knots in the US) over and back. Same result for much less effort. But I do like your design.
Started this today. Got the first row of hitches done. What really slows you down is running the remaining 50 foot tail through each loop. I’m dying here! 😵
Definitely. Ive been trying EVERYTHING for cord management What i found is using my toe to hold the cord straight while pulling it through minimizes twisting. But i cant find anything better to do yet
Wrap the cord around yor fingers and tie it off on the middle like a bow. You can pull more cord ar you need it from the bow and still have like 2 ft to work with at a time. You just have to leave the hitches loose enough to pass the whole thing through and then tighten it
If you are wanting to make this wrap and you do a feel loops, don’t get discouraged by the time it takes for each hitch. It gets better as you go since the rope is starting to get shorter and shorter. Keep going kings. 👑
@@frederiklist4265 If you have the room stretch the rope all the way out and do it like that. What I do is keep making coils on each side of me and untangle as I go.
There is a little mistake in video. 50ft is not 1.52 meters. It is 15.2 meters. I started to wrap my bottle and after few rounds was wondering that cord is about to end and I'm not even half away. New try with right length of cord. 😅
Yeah...i dont know man. I watched Counter Strike 2 videos ago, took a quick look at how to make cheese with a guy who said g'day curd nerds and ended up with you tying knots with paracord around a bottle. Thats quite a rabbit hole... Nice video btw. See ya next time.
This is a really cool way to wrap a bottle! I have experemented with this kind of wrap before because it can also be used to make paracord nets and net bags which is fun to do. Keep up the great content!
This might seem like a weird request... But is there a tutorial in your videos that shows how to make a horizontal belt holster? I wanna make one for my nunchuks 😅
Hi! Watching from the Philippines! I wanna try this on my 1.8L thermal bottle. I couldn’t find a boot cover for this size. How much para cord do you think I will use for 1.8L ?Many thanks for this very cool video.
I'm looking to do something like this for the handle of a boat motor, with which you control the speed. I have the feeling this will be a bit to loose to work, but something like this would be great!
Hi! Thanks for the great tutorial, I’m about halfway through. Question, let’s say we’re out in the forest and need some rope for whatever reason, how quickly or easily is it to un-do all the ties on this bottle?
Another question... Does the bottle stand up right with all the cord on the bottom? It looks a little thick. Do you have other ways to finish the bottom?
Nice Project, very comprehensively presented. Since you might open and close the net frequently on the top: Wouldn't it be better to start with a doubled half hitch? Even with the end molten down I would be afraid that that single overhand loosens with time.
Wonderful use and it looks beautiful. I am going to try it on some of my special glasses cut and polished from painted beer bottles, some of which need to be protected. hat color combination is also a great choice. One could say that you executed to creation without a hitch (LOL), thanks.
The top node on the green cord looks like the weak point. Also, why use an additional cord at the top? Challenge: propose a wrap with a single cord and no such weak point.
I have a 40oz water bottle that I wanted to put on my belt, so I cut part of a pant leg of an old pair of jeans and sewed one end shut and put my water bottle in, I also made a loop by the top for a carabiner.
I would make an attachment for the lid to the neck of the bottle as well. I made mine by looping one end to the water can and then making making half hitches with alternate sides after it was 6 inches long, I tied it to the loop part of the lid. This took about 40 inches of paracord.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I did this today. My first experiment with paracord. The outcome looks fantastic (not as beautiful as yours) and hope it keeps my bottle dent and scratch free. May be, because this is my first time dealing with paracord, it took me a lot of time. Almost 5 hours. It was fun anyways. Thanks.
I really appreciate your video!!! I just finished doing this on my 1 gallon plastic bottle!!! it's my first time learning this and it turned out really cool!!! thank you!!!
Why would anyone want or need a paracord? I’ve racked my brain for the longest time and I just can’t imagine how anyone could mistake them for something useful.
Hey BIG BROTHER, Please make your MOD SANCTIFIED KNIGHT and RED BEET paracord Bracelet full tutorial video available on RU-vid 😭 , as I am I teenager from India & unable to support you on Patreon (lack of money). Those two I liked the most & eager to learn than 😣😣😣😣😭😭. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 🙏🙏🙏🙏
One of the biggest problems I have with ypur videos is your thumbs always cover the knot you're doing and you go over how to do the knot too quickly not allowing for anyone to actually see what is happening. I always have to pause and go watch another video on how to do the knot you just did.
Is there a particular knot in this video that I covered up and didn't show properly? The two knots used in this project mainly are the half hitch and cow hitch. Both of which I showed clearly. If the diamond knot wasn't clear, I have a separate dedicated tutorial for rhat one. If there's something that really isn't clear though please let me know and I can perhaps clarify that.
That's specifically a girth hitch... theres... well I don't know exactly how many hitches there are but it's quite a lot... that aside... this is badass.
I don't understand how you keep it from knotting up while running it through. Must be nice to have the free time to sit there and unknot all these stupid strands
It's actually not that hard. What you have to do is untwist the cord as you're pulling it through the knots. So if you just pay attention to the direction of the twists of the cord you can twist in the opposite direction to get it through the hitch knots.
hi tim, i have question.. out of 50ft how long has left from the green strand after completing the 800ml water bottle? i will make one for my 1200ml tumbler
Hi there, I actually used more than 50 ft in the video, but after all was said and done I found that it took 50 ft to cover this bottle with about half a foot of waste.
If the cord is getting tangled as you're pulling it through the knots, you can try untwisting it as you pull it through. It'll make things a lot easier.
Why not start the first knot around the neck of bottle with a hitch like the rest are? It seems like the single odd knot out. Great video though. Great idea and application!
Can you do other kinds of styles for bottle wraps?? Please make more videos for bottle wraps. Wine bottles, canisters, beer koozies, etc. What else can you wrap?? Thank you. Waiting for more bottle-ish type projects.
it basically works with every sort of ribbon, tie or rope that is long and durable enough. Hemp rope, silk- or velvet-like ribbons for example should work aswell and might look pretty cool. Although you can not heat-melt hemp :) got to make a secure knot on the starting and finishing point :)
