Where do you even find these things? That's why I support this channel because you keep me informed and educated. Great job as always Nick and thank you.
There are 5 'easter eggs' hidden in this video. First to comment with the 5 timestamps showing the 'easter eggs' will receive a RemSleep 02 Ring valued at $229 AUD. Good luck! (for those of you that don't know, 'easter eggs' are not chocolate eggs. They're video frames that don't belong in this video ) . I'll give you the first one - 4:09
I love my Oura ring. I got a discount because I had a 2nd generation and was grandfathered into having the app for free. And I handed off my 2nd gen to my daughter.
This was an excellent idea to do this review. It was well done so you may decide to do more wearable reviews for sleep metric devices like that matress pad sleep evaluator.
Mate, I'm in! I have a fitbit luxe, but no O2 sat readings and I have to wear it essentially as a bracelet on my right wrist as I CANNOT give up my analog, automatic dive watches. Truth be told I hate wearing it because I get it hung up a lot, but love the info especially my sleep score. Fitbit subscription for their full feature app is more per month...I think $10 US, so I'm good with the Oura pricing. Nice to get an honest review from a non-shill.
Hey legend, just a heads up but the gen 3 ring doesn't have 02 functionality quite yet but they're adding it this year. I think when they add that functionality it's probably worth it for the hardware but i still struggle with the extra subscription just to get access to your data from the hardware. I guess that's the world we live in these days. Seems like double dipping to me. Other than that, it's a great ring / app combo. My ring still looks brand new (titanium is some strong shit haha). Battery life is excellent and quick recharge. Cheers bro. Nicko
Nice. I’m not a dude that likes jewelry I’ve even stopped my watch collecting habit from years ago but I did start wearing an apple watch for the convenience and it will do sleep monitoring but requires me to add additional charging schedule before bedtime. This might be a nice solution and just wear it at night and the watch during the day.
I have a Day Band, got it off Amazon for 49.99. Tracks blood pressure, heart beats per min, body temp, quality of sleep, and activity. Show your blood oxygen levels, but only on watch.
Hey Nick, if you are on the lookout for hardware to integrate with Sleephq, wellue o2ring is a no brainer choice. It is already easily integrated with Oscar so many CPAP users have it. Most importantly look into cardiopulmonary coupling and what sleep image is doing with wellue o2ring hardware and some good software. Wellue software is crap and cardiopulmonary coupling allows for sleep apnea and uars tracking as well as very detailed sleep quality analysis based on hrv time frequency analysis. Look into it and let me know what you think. If you implement this into Sleephq, you will distrupt the space and get clinicians on board that use cardiopulmonary coupling in their practices.
G'day Sath Absolutely mate! I'm currently helping with the BETA testing for RemSleep app of the same ring. We doing full API integration so we can bring data wirelessly into SleepHQ. That cardiopulmonary coupling stuff is crazy cool man! Thank you so much for sharing the info with me. I'm going to contact the sleep image guys and see if we can potentially licence their software or pay them an enterprise fee for sleephq integration. If not we'll just build out our own but it's an incredible idea. Thank you!
Thanks Alan, there's a lot more info i wanted to cover but i try and keep the videos as short as possible these days and just cover the important stuff. Cheers
I found a brand new oura ring, my size on fb market for 100. It's been a few weeks and I love it but do dislike that I'll have to pay for the monthly subscription. Womp.
I know right! I know we have our subscription also but at least our free tier is pretty damn good so it doesn't 'force' you into a subscription. Cheers
Thanks for the great review. I’ll stay with my Polar M430, or newer model when needed, watch for heart rate data and activity goals. For sleep info I’ll stay with SleepHQ.
@@CPAPReviews it’s sleep functionality isn’t strong suit. It gives an analysis that shows actual sleep time and interruptions. I believe the newer model Polar watches do a better job of sleep functionality.
I'm confused - from the title of this video and the video thumbnail I assumed you were going to dump on it with a crushing negative review. Maybe the poop emoji and raised middle finger means something different Down Under than here in the States?
Been using Go2sleep for about 2 months. Much better price point. It come with a silicone ring and finger holder. I find fingerhold or more accurate than the rIng. In large part it is because I have small fingers. Even the small doesn’t fit my biggest finger. Go figure! Cheers mate.
It looks like a great accessory but watches and other fitness tools do as well. My objection is that you have to wear the ring 24/7 to get accurate information and you have to wear it on the same finger. I noticed your finger around the ring seemed to be a little inflamed. I have a Galaxy Watch 4 and an O2 ring and can't wear either for a whole day because they irritate my skin. By wearing them half a day I must take them off or switch my ring to another finger.
Hi there, the ring is very comfortable. Might have looked a little inflamed from me taking it off and putting on so many times. It's a snug fit. It's no different to wearing a wedding band etc. You don't really have to wear it 24/7 to get the sleep info. Just when you go to bed is fine. All the best. Nicko
Can you please review the Auto Sleep Track sleep on watch app vs the Oura Ring for iPhone? I really like the app but was wondering if it gives the same readings as the ring. If the app and Apple Watch gives the same info then i wouldn’t need the ring.
I bought a cheap Aldi watch, about Aud30 that did almost everything the apple watch does, all the tracking stuff, incl oxygen sats and tapping you to remind you to drink water or exercise, answer the phone and other stuff. As I wanted to track my sleep hours, (I get quite broken sleep, not from the apnea, I have a machine)... I wore it 24/7 only off for the time it took to charge it. I'm not sure if it was me or the watch, but i got quite a nasty burn mark after a couple of months from where the watch touched my skin. Ok so maybe it was a cheap watch, but honestly I think if I hadnt worn it almost continuously it probably wouldnt have happened. 2 points here. 1. If a watch does the job for about 10% of the price, then why wear a ring and 2. Please be careful with wearables and the amount of time they are in contact with your skin.
Hi Nick thanks for all your great work, I just wanted to ask do you do private consultations on the phone or zoom and if so what's the best way to contact you?
I bought and returned an Oura ring. Although a great idea, I wasn’t impressed with it. I had problems with their app and their customer service/tech support was non existent. It took longer than an hour to charge. The information it is supposed to track was intermittent. For a much lower price, with much more capability and excellent customer support you can buy an Apple watch. I wanted the Oura to help provide additional sleep/breathing health info along with my CPAP. Oura failed to do this. Just wasn’t impressed.
I'm thinking about ordering one but what's making me doubt is that I can't wear it with training. Lifting weights and kickboxing. So the activity tracking is def not accurate but I can imagine it also effects other things like temp, heart rate, sleep, readiness etc. How do you think about this? Pls help!
Hmmmm, not really a 'sleep study' . it's more just giving you a bit of info about the quality of your sleep and some insights into some other biometric data.
@@CPAPReviews Ok .... bit puzzled about it then. Does it have propriety software so you can only see/look/interpret the data if you pay them? At present, does it do oxygen sats? Or no?
Great review and a amazing product it is somewhat expensive but I do not feel comfortable wearing a ring having caught one years ago and fortunately only doing minor damage yet knowing someone who lost a finger.☹️ The ring is a marvel of engineering.
