Wow, brilliant!. I am a research assistant from a research institution in Ghana and I found this webinar to be extremely informative and helpful. Thank you very much Sir.
Hi Pouria, I'm creating a series of videos on research and publication. I want to make sure that the videos are as helpful and relevant as possible for you, so I was wondering if you could let me know which topics would be most beneficial for you and your research needs? Any suggestions or feedback you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Professor I must say. Your videos aren't just helpful but a delight experience. For my PhD I wanted to do meta-analysis but how to do it in finance/social science was a challenge for me. But then your video showed up, literally I didn't even start it yet but I knew now I can do it 😁. Keep making videos Professor keep letting us benefit from you.
Thank you for the clear explanations. As a fourth-year undergrad researcher, your content has been a lifeline. I appreciate your relaxed approach to the topics.
I never comment on anything but I cannot thank you enough, you have saved my life... about to do my Masters SLR and my motivation went from 0 straight to 100. Thank you ;D
Very pleased to come across the video. My supervisor kept asking me since my first year to conduct a systematic review but I've no clue what he met until I found this. I've just been reading LT that I found. This will certainly help me to achieve the objective. Thanks Dr. Saeed.
Thank you for the comment! So, now it is the time to conduct a systematic literature review! And your supervisor will be proud of you! ;) All the best!
I feel my skills have exponentially increased with this video. Very realistic, fun, informative session and ground reality about paper selection etc. Beautifully explained about the checklist of how papers are reviewed. You are awesome!
Thanks professor for getting us acquainted to PRISMA and laying out the steps in such a clear manner. I'll definitely cite your paper while writing my next SLR, which I'm planning to start writing within a week. Thanks and respect, from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi
Thank you very much for your encouraging feedback! You made my day! FYI, I'm making a new series "Research Methods: A step by step approach": ru-vid.com/group/PLWBfO0FgZUYPN65cNzMOE38KDeISB8DM0 Hope you find the videos helpful! :)
Thank you for sharing such valuable information Professor. This sure is bound to help me in writing a systematic review. The add on is that I am pursuing my Ph.D in sustainable tourism, just started off on this journey; I was delighted to see that your publications are in the area of tourism.
Thank you, prof. The way you explained PRISMA is very understandable and cleared all my practical doubts. I usually avoid commenting on youtube but this video made me give comment.
you are such a delight Dr. I was able to concentrate and learning so much about SLR, taking notes, and even laughed at your jokes. Thank you so much Dr for providing this video. God bless.
Thank you Professor Saeed Sharif! I''m glad I found your lecture on RU-vid. I am a DNP student at Salisbury University in Maryland and will be preparing to do a literature review for my DNP project. Although, we covered these topics in our program courses, it was still not clear to me. I have a better understanding of the process thanks to your lecture. Thank you again!
This video is so good I was looking for the others on data extraction, analysis and findings. I am going to subscribe for that video. I currently in the process of doing a systematic review and this video is very help at the moment. Excellent work.
Hi Ruel, Thank you for your comment. I'm developing a comprehensive course on systematic literature review. It will be ready in Jan 2021. Subscribe to this channel to get the info. My plan is to offer it for free.
Wow..!, this is so awesome and most educative for a new researcher like me. The way you handled your lesson was unprecedented, I must confess. You have fundamentally structured my cognition in writing a systematic literature review paper. Thanks a lot Prof. You are one in a million. Wish to be your student.
Thank you so much professor, it is really helpful all information I need include especially the PRISMA Methodology that can be used in any field. I am a PhD student in material science
This is the best video EVER about SLR!!! Thanks for motivating to do a SLR in the first place (two years ago). I will always be grateful to you for your help! I come back to this video to send it to a first Phd student who just want to start this journey and I told her that is it the very first thing to do before reading any article (see u video). Thank you so much a wish me a best luck for my reubmussion of my SLR!!
Many thanks for your kind feedback and for reminding me of those years when I conducted research workshops in Malaysia. You made my day! I believe you attended one of the systematic literature review workshops. Also, thank you for sharing this video with others. It is very encouraging! :) Let's keep in touch! All the best!
btw, I'm making a new series of videos on research and publications. Please share it with those who may need them :) Here are the first 3 videos: Background of the study: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iFlBRviE70w.html Context of the Study: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zElYm_TBOnQ.html Contributions of the Study: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eY86SkYW-Ls.html
Thank you so much Professor! I was searching for comprehensive video on SLR. I have learned a lot from you. Thank you and keep updating such wonderful videos!
Sir during my PhD i always felt that something was missing as i was not able to grasp the same material being reported in the literature. But after watching your lecture in the form of this video, i feel immensely confident that now onwards i will be in a better position to deal with such literature. And i hope that i will get a literature review paper or for that matter a "systematic review" paper published in one of the leading journals. Thank you once again..... Regards and Best wishes Tawseef Ahmed From National Institute of Technology, Srinagar J&K, India
That is the most interesting video about systematic review that I have seen so far. Please make a video on meta-analysis in medical research as well, or even guide us on how we can do it.👍
This session was really helpful. Looking forward to more such informative sessions. I am really thankful to people who helped me reach this channel and obviously to you sir for putting so much effort and patience and explaining every bit of information that would bring us clarity. Thank You. (India)

Greetings from India. A very informative and helpful lecture. The presentation style especially was very friendly and immensely enjoyable at the same time. Thank you sir for such a wonderful session.
Thank you for publishing this wonderful video, Professor Sharif. It's incredibly helpful. You are giving me hope that I can actually write my thesis. I wish one of the advisors or professors at my university would have made a video like this to help us :'D
Many thanks for your comment Megan. You made my day. Thousands students publish their works every year. You can do it too! No doubt! More videos will be posted soon. If you like to get notified please subscribe to the channel and share the videos with your peers. Keep in touch. :)
@@getahunsolomonofficial If you are following the 5-chapter format and presenting your PhD as a single study, it is recommended to conduct a traditional literature review. This is because a systematic literature review is considered a study in itself. However, if your PhD follows the format of PhD by publications or a similar approach, it may be acceptable to include a systematic literature review as one of the papers or chapters. I had a PhD student who recently graduated and followed this approach. One challenge she faced was that some of the examiners were unfamiliar with this format, which made her defense more challenging. However, she successfully passed with minor corrections and graduated on time. Oh! Indeed, the PhD student is the one that is working with me in Part 2 of the systematic literature review video! haha If you watch part 2, you will hear her voice.
Thank you so much for such a detailed lecture. Do journals ask for excel sheets? also if we use more than one database then how to exclude similar results? I would be very grateful if you could help.
They can ask but I haven't seen such request yet! You can use excel to remove the duplicates. I think I should make a video about it. I also have explained it in the respond to comments here.
I found this channel from Linkedln. I must appreciate Mr. Saeed for this beautiful and well explained video on systematic review. Hope to see more videos and this channel must reach all researchers.God bless you Dr.
This is so useful, thank you very much! I have a question: To follow the PRISMA procedure, does the protocol need to be registered? Or I can just put it in the appendix?
Very informative session, sir. I have attended other sessions as well, but trust me, this one is unique. The way you demonstrated step by step to seach papers on scopus, was indeed very helpful. I am sure this one is going to immensely help me. Thanks a lot once again
Many thanks for your positive comment! I'm happy that it was helpful! Please add me in LinkedIn and join the other RU-vid channel at ru-vid.com for videos on #publication #scams.
This is the simplest way of explaining this. I must say it is helpful and insightful guide. A big thank you Professor. This will help me as an early researcher currently writing my SLR.
I am very grateful for this video. I have to do a systematic review for school and I honestly didn't know where to start. Your video, as well as your papers, were extremely helpful. Thank you. I definitely would recommend this video.
