Pile 3, I usually never comment, but I felt like it this time! We had history, we were friends with benefits for a while, and we work together. So you're on point when you said that he doesn't give attention because of the surroundings. For a long long time, after we broke apart, we would argue at work for silly things and we were like cat and dog. But since a couple of months ago, I felt the energy shifting, and now we can be two civilized people talking, making jokes and so on. But deep down I truly miss him and I wish we could have a conversation about many things we left unsaid and other things we said to just hurt each other. The 🐸 💯 spot on. It's highly complicated, we have known each other since we were children - our families are old friends. I have always liked him but never said anything and he never showed any interest in me romantically. Slowly over time our lives drifted in different directions. It's now a few decades later and we are both married to other people with whom we have children. Last time I saw him was over a decade ago at his wedding when I was pregnant with my daughter. The new situation is that one of his parents has passed away and we will both be at the funeral. In the messages we have already been exchanging in the run up to this event I have had to hold myself back from expressing too much, and can tell he is doing the same. Neither of us are the kind of people who would do anything to hurt our families by doing anything about these feelings, and yet there are still very strong undercurrents...and next weeks funeral will be difficult therefore.
