Dr. Vanita Rattan (on YT) says skin of colour should never use glycolic acid. She provides interesting information about skincare for skin of colour. But… I do think I may try this product at some point.
Yes, they are interesting but not scientifically backed up. Skin of colour has more melamine and is prone to hyperpigmentation which can be easily handled with moderately using any active.
Beleive me i am skin of colour, I used 30%AHA/BHA peel, now glycholic acid (oviously with caution), I have never faced any issue. Start with very slow, it help your skin to get used to the product. I followed her instructions honestly didn't help enough, than I analyzed my skin, took a risk of using peeling solution & Alhamdulillah it worked wonder in just 8weeks, my dark spots from acne, hyperpigmentation gone. Now just switched to 7% glycholic acid to give my skin rest from high concentration peeling. Start slow, know your skin, you will find out what you need
What is different Between ordinary glycolic exfoliant & ordinary glycolic toner I bought a ordinary glycolic 7% exfoliate.. In this bottle write ordinar glycolic 7% exfoliate.
