Improve your understanding and presentation of your field of study with this Bibliometrix tutorial. This tutorial shows how students and #researchers can perform scientometric and bibliometric analysis using bibliometrix without coding.
NOTE: A newer Bibliometrix tutorial is at • Bibliometrix Tutorial ...

If you are undertaking a literature review for #university, #college or high school you need to understand the relationships between literature in your #research or study field, these instructions will help generate meaning and analysis from your body of literature.
It is very common for students to perform literature reviews and include an understanding of the literature. Bibliometric analysis is a valuable tool for #students who want to better understand the research landscape in their field. Gary, a PhD candidate, shows how to use the #Bibliometrix package to analyse small or large sets of literature.

Dear Gary For anyone who wants to: -Provide a broad overview of the most productive countries, universities, journals and authors in a particular field of research in recent years. -The most frequently used words in this field of research -The most influential authors and articles in this field -Current trends in terms of publications So my question is this: What type of fields in the list should we choose before launching the search? (All Fields or Topic or Title? ) What choice should be made at this level ? And thank you once again for all you do.

Hi Gary, I hope you're doing well. I'm from Brazil, and I wanted to express my gratitude for the amazing tutorials you share on RU-vid. Your explanations are clear and thorough, and having subtitles in your videos is incredibly helpful for me. However, I'm encountering a small issue regarding the "De" and "Da" prefixes while working on bibliometric analysis using the bibliometrix package in R. Despite following various tutorials and trying a few solutions on my own, I haven't been able to successfully remove these prefixes from author names. Do you have any specific guidance or tips on how to address this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Gary. In my PhD, I have the problem of having data (bibtext, etc.) from other sources defined in biblioshiny. I could not make the software except my data, spent lots of time for possible conversions, but, nah... still wondering if it is possible to have that data work somehow...
@GaryEckstein
@GaryEckstein Месяц назад
The problem is that the various databases export data in varying BibTeX fields; there is no consistency. You could manually change the fieldnames in your BibTeX fields to be consistent with e.g. Scopus, but this will be very time consuming.

Hi Gray, how I can upload Scopus and web of science at once in bibliometrix? or let's say marriage them?

Hi Husam, Scopus and WoS output .bib files with slightly different structures. It thus isn't possible, without considerable rework of the .bib files, to import files from both databases into bibliometrix simultaneously.

Dear Gary, thank you very much for your instruction. Can I ask if we can combine different sources such as from WoS and SCOPUS for Bibliometrix analysis? Also I would like to manually remove duplicates and screening for eligibility in Endnote before applying Bibliometrix. How can we export Bib file from Endnote to do this?
@GaryEckstein
@GaryEckstein 6 месяцев назад
Unfortunately EndNote, WoS, Scopus etc all use different fields in BibTeX files. As such it is complex to; 1) combine files from multiple databases for import and 2) import a .bib file exported from EndNote. If you view the .bib files exported from WoS and Scopus, for example, you'll notice how fields are used differently ☹️

Thank you for the fantastic video! It has been incredibly helpful, enabling me to conduct bibliometric analysis with ease on the search results exported from Web of Science and Scopus databases. However, my systematic literature review (SLR) comprises articles from four databases: Web of Science, Scopus, EBSCO, and ScienceDirect. Thank you in advance for your response.

The issue is that the BIB file structures are slightly different for each service. TBH it will likely be very time-consuming trying to use data from unsupported BIB files.

Thanks Gary. Likely multiple databases will be used. I saw another video you did showing integration of Endnote and PRISMA. After that last filter, so you're down to your last list of documents you will be reviewing in detail, say 250. Can you run this list to create a bib file from Endnote (to then get all these great graphics from Bibliometrix) ?
@GaryEckstein

That would sure be very handy but unfortunately EndNote exports .bib files in a way that Bibliometrix doesn't understand. You'd need to export from e.g. Scopus
