I think personally, I really hate that they deal with the fomo a lot of people struggle with. I also think that the "memorizing players" excuse is kinda bullshit because they're making the skins so inaccessible to the point where its not so much about the player rather than the skin and making money. I'd be willing to buy the ahri skin, but not for that price.

I appreciate that Erick is being honest... but I just can't stand this whole thing. Riot is really aiming for those whales whilst firing the artists behind some of their most interesting skins. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth with the FOMO thing as well.

I wish it was like Sona's ultimate, which we can choose what skin we want to use. To me, the first form looks way better than the other ones.

500$ is crazyyyyy, the skin is good nobody can argue with it, but elementalist lux has MANY more forms each having different voicelines and effects recalls etc. This Ahri skin has 3 forms with almost same aeffects and a a turret and kill animation. From my POV Elementalist lux gives u more with a waay lower price. I would rather use the 500$ for designer shoes thank you very much.

I'm glad they released Elementalist Lux a long time ago. Because if they released it now, that skin would cost $1000 💀💀💀 This Ahri skin is gorgeous but definitely not worth the price. The only acceptable one is the 5k just because it's like an Ultimate + an event pass bundle.

(Speaking as someone who has work experience in digital content production and pretty good knowledge how these things are made) The thing that annoys me the most is that the price does not match the quality or effort that have gone behind this. The is such a LARGE disconnect between quality of the product and its retail price here that it is absurd. The artificial rarity and FOMO they are capitalizing on is predatory and really really greedy.

I love Ahri and I was always aiming for a 100% collection but this is a joke. Mostly because its supposed to celebrate Faker and it's very scammy to sell a 500 dollar skin tied to his name because Faker is the goat. The skin is very beautiful though and I am lowkey dreading not being able to own it (if I wanted t buy it I couldn't even afford it) I simply wish they would've let us grind the skin forms, it still would be more niche depending on how much you have to grind instead of just putting it up for 250 dollars for the non signature version. But sadly they only see the cash.

i think people shouldnt compare cs2 skins and riot skins. Cs2 skins are a whole economy meaning the price is set by the demand of the players who buy skins. in league or valorant for that matter the whole thing is just micro transactions where the price of cosmetics is entirely set by riot. additionally the playerbase for league is much larger so its not like if a percentage of the playerbase doesnt buy it they are loosing business-changing money. Any sales thay have they will be satisfied with

I'm not sure if you mentioned this, but Ahri also has her own custom Pentakill logo. I saw it in Zwag's new vid. I has a red border, but I wish the whole screen did something like Empyrean Pyke Penta. They could have added like confetti or something a little cooler.

I really like that skin. It feels like a Blood Moon+Conqueror+Prestige combo theme. I'm gonna get the 50€ version for sure but... well the 250€ version is tempting. I already played with it on PBE and I LOVE IT. It's true its overpriced but as you said , and I totally agree with that, its a collector's skin (like Silver and Judgement Kayle, remember?)

Seeing that its reused auto attack from coven and just adds little wings to her charm is insane. If youre going to place a new tier for a skin then NEW and not reused ideas should be in that expensive tier!

Lux's $30 ultimate skin has 10 forms total. Which are light(default/base skin), water, fire, air, nature, ice, storm, magma, mystic, and dark. Lux begins the game in Light form and can transform twice per game based on the player's choice of elements. Whereas Ahri has 4 transformations (including the in-use form during her R ultimate, which makes her all white). Another point, Lux being Riot's cash cow daughter does not even have an ASU, but Ahri (which is also another popular cash cow due to K/DA and just being a good pick for high elo players) has an ASU. The little other extra things like the banner and the signature of faker when taking down turrets shouldn't be anything super expensive. Lux dark/light cosmic & ultimate has different dance emotes, so I don't agree with charging more for just changing emotes. Hell, for a $500 skin, I would have at least expected some kind of similar pentakill animation like Samira Soul Fighter Pentakill, but not even. So I would say, this skin should be same $30 as other ultimate skins, or if they really need to increase it for whatever reason since its Faker's Hall of Fame Skin, at most I'd put it at $40-50 (like the Risen version Skin), however, that is almost the price of a WHOLE NEW GAME, so in my opinion still not worth. Should really just be $30 as amazingly beautiful as it is, just like Lux Ultimate Skin. I really do want to buy it but it is not worth, I agree that I think Riot is just seeing how far they can push price tags smh.

11:32 the dance is actually REALLY cute. I would 100% buy the $250 version of this skin... there's just one small snag. Like about 15-20% of riots playerbase I stopped playing when Vanguard rolled out and I'm not coming back. Seen the horror stories... still not happy. I'd probably get caught up in the FOMO and because this is indeed a beautiful Ahri skin. The emote from the bundle Jhin flashed at 21:43 is excellent too. Like is the skin worth $250? No probably not. But it looks really really good and I know I had no impulse control on league. But Vanguard is such a strong deterrent that even as an Ahri main this isn't enough to bring me back to league. No coincidence they drop the best value pass in years right after Vanguards launch.

Elementalist lux has 10 transformations and its way cheaper. This ahri skin feels like a regular ultimate skin, there is nothing to pay that much money for 😢

This skin is everything I could ask for in an Ahri skin but the price is just far too ridiculous and just goes to show you how far Riot executives have gone down sucking the archdevil or greed. I think what's causing most of the outage comes from the accessibility of the skin itself. If they sold the skin itself not in a bundle at a lower price and then sold the bundle as a premium option for whales and die hard fans that would be ok but only being able to access the skin by buying the bundle makes it inaccessible to the majority of the player base

i think its a beautiful skin, i think i like the second form the best and i would have honestly been more understanding of a $50-$90(at a stretch) price point but $500 is just ridiculous

Honestly I would've considered a skin like this if it was living up to the price, this isn't even an ultimate for me. The theme is so weak too, but I might be biased I just don't really care about Faker or the E-sports scene in general, so to me it's just a red Ahri skin in fancier clothes. In the past I bought 500 dollar skins in other games, my biggest issue with this one is that it's *limited content*, which is a huge HUGE red flag. This is going extremely low, since in games I play expensive cosmetics like this are often permament/returning. I kinda support the boycott, because they are clearly testing waters with how far they can go and in my opinion the overall skin quality has been dipping for quite some time now. That should be their priority. That being said if you end up getting it (hopefully Riot gives it to you, fingers crossed

Keep in mind- the 300$ version dosent have the full features of the skin. The turret fx and the taunt are for only the 500$ version. For 300$ not even the full skin.

IMO, they chose ahri because she's more flexible to add more effects to, some ppl said why not ryze?, cuz ryze just stands there, while ahri, has tail animation, ears, flashy skill effects, and her personality can be anything, that's why she's more worth it to put extreme animations to. Edit: Like lux having basic movement animation, but her skill, and the skill effects has more potential to have cooler different effects. I just want the skin, just make it an Ultimate skin and everyone will buy it RIOT
