Congrats to your soon completed diploma. There are many jobs that you can likely already do, like Bookkeeping, payroll, Tax prep and filing, etc. so look for those jobs or what interests you. If you want to proceed your education and get your CPA it is also good to work for an Accounting firm, as they might be able to guide you through that process. For Jobs check: jobbank.ca, indeed.ca, monster.ca etc.

So you are taking a Business Admin Diploma in Canada? You don' need to be a CPA to get your PR. A business diploma can also work. Happy to hear the video helped you. For an entry bookkeeping job your two year accounting diploma likely teaches you enough to get started. For payroll there are special courses (not sure if that is covered in your diploma. But apart from that there should be some jobs to get started in. Check Monster.ca, indeed.ca, jobank.gc.ca for job postings. We are also planning a more detailed video on accounting/cpa soon;)

Not sure about WSIB. Is that an Ontario thing? The RRSP is an account you can save and invest in and it stays tax free until you cash it out. It does not have to be investments, you can even just have a savings account. If you can max out both even better I guess.

It sounds like you have the skills to work as a bookkeeper or payroll officer in Canada, though you might still have to learn the Canadian specific things, especially for payroll. The challenge will be more to get a work permit. Look into the different immigration streams and calculate your score.

Hi, You most likely have to take some courses, classes depending on what job you want to do. Entry level bookkeeping jobs you usually don't need much qualification for but a Certified Professional Accountant would be different. Check the job listings and what the requirements are. Im an accountant currently working as auditor in one of the big 4 firms (been in audit for more than 10 years). Im interested in taking the student pathway and eventually getting PR in either Alberta (preferably Calgary) or Ontario as it’s where my relatives are. Planning to do this in a year’s time. Hi, I am not sure on that. There are probably some programs. I also heard its relatively easy for a CPA to transfer from the US to Canada and vice versa. But that's just what I heard.

Accountant is a broad term. To become a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) You need to go to University. If you just want to be a payroll or bookkeeping clerk, you are probably good with a college course.

No that's gross. The net also depends on the individuals situation, so usually salaries are mentioned gross. But this video is a couple of years old now so likely the salaries went up a bit.
