Nah, it's not that she doesn't understand it. It's just during her PhD she took part in a lot of sport events to maintain her physique, she was a master in long jump and as such she has many medals in jumping to conclusions

I was going to say the exact same thing. Mario is a good guy, but unfortunately he got caught up with an ungrateful and disrespectful harlot, who told me this emotions and used them as an ATM. It's only natural that he'd put barriers over his heart. And of course he'd be harsh and not feel like he believes in love, but that's because he fell in love with the wrong person at that time. We've all made that mistake, in some form or another. But the pain is a lesson; accept and love the one who loves and accepts you, and do not go for the one who catches your eye. Susan was the one who caught Mario's eye, and he put up with her bullshizz for years and what did he get but disrespect and betrayal. Katarina likes him because of his value as a person. She was aware of what Susan did to him, and so she helped him through it.
