I don't know about the only one, but for us that skated in the 90s and early 00s he probably is just because we never watched anyone else do a freestyle routine. It is one of the smoothest tricks though.
@Maddhands what are you talking about bro? He's the closest to Rodney Mullen Gen Z will have, thus this generation's Rodney Mullen. Quit trying to gate keep to the point where you're not even comprehending the statement. No one could ever be Rodney, there's only ever one 1st. If y'all don't start giving praise where praise is do, you're going to kill the sport.
I dont believe in helmets, if you need a helmet your out of your league and need more concentration and practice at a lower level, no helmet will keep the right amount of fear in you so you dont get hurt, those helmets dont protect you anyways, a real helmet toprotect has a crumple zone, they are a 1000+ dollars and HUGE, real dirt bike helmet, not the ones average bikers wear, they look comically big, they work for one fall
@@Impossibly-PossibleI think those dirty ass braids are too tight. You have no clue what you’re talking about. Out of your league? I’ve literally cracked my head open doing a board slide on a ground rail. Something I’ve done a thousand times just not that time. It only takes one mistake I’ve never worn one but wish I had and fully support this kid’s decision to save his brains.
Iconic for his passion. Iconic for his attitude. Iconic for his moves. And iconic for his helmet. All the ingredients to make one HELL of a dude. Ur awesome man and uve managed to gain the audience and interest of redbull. Ur living millions of ppl's dreams what an amazing guy
@@sebastianbrelin7246agreed. It wasn’t as cool as the half cab impossible in my opinion. Dope but looks just like a kickflip in action regardless of whether you’re aware of the foot positioning or lack of tail pop cool either way just liked trick four the best.
@@sebastianbrelin7246 Tbf, I never seen that trick* before. Andy pushes down on the tail right before it hits the ground with allows the front foot to catch and flick near the nose a bit higher off the ground to create the illusion of a tail pop. What a weird trick.
@@jakealomani 100% facts, brotha. Once I touched a snowboard 30 years ago, it was over... But just cause you take the dude off the skateboard... Don't mean you're takin' the skateboard outta the dude. Permanent. 👍
I remember my uncle finally landing a Half-Cab Impossible and we were so pumped! I was like 10 years old at the time and he was close to 30. But I won't ever forget that day! I'm not even a skater, just dig the grind!
@@Noahvon503Basically the whole world of skateboarding disagrees with you, but alright. Look up Rodney Mullen. He invented half the tricks you know how to do, and he invented this style
@@tylerhall9412 exactly. idk what it is but ive seen so many stuck-up weirdos hating on andy and his s tyle. Sure maybe it doesnt interest you in the way others do, but like... the "worst"? come on bro
I'm old now. I never learned to skate. I always wanted to. This young man here is something special. He has been popping up on my feed lately, and it has been a joy to watch him skate. Vicariously living my dream through you Andy, and all those that came before you. Idolized.
@@dlockness1 if you can figure it out and get both right consistently you're opening yourself up for some good stuff. This way looks slower and easier to catch before landing and that can look great
@@dlockness1 Yeah was think the same thing. Not sure if his tail tapped or not but that was about the only difference I noticed. He didn't push the tail down as far. Meh, I dunno.🤷♂️
I been following this kid and hes amazing , It's a good kitty said he still wears his helmet to make his mom happy and its become part of his skating attire.
Ive been watching andy for a long ass time before he became pro and viral as hell. But boy oh boy just watching him skate has always been so magical ❤ ridiculous how easy that pressure flip looked haha
As a guy who's entire skateboarding time was in the pre-ollie era I have to say it's good to see those tricks are still appreciated. Not sure about number five though, I don't remember it and it looks pretty Ollie heavy to me...😊
I bought a skateboard again for the first time since i was a teenager because of my recent discovery of Andy. and the dude at the skateshop thats putting my board together is like yeah dude if you want the good shoes go to so and so and was just being real informative. Had me there for over an hour while hes assembling my shit. The moment i bring up me being a Andy fan that mfr couldnt get me outta there fast enough. I couldnt beleive it.
THANK YOU ANDY! Kids, there is only ONE "Pressure Flip", and he just showed you what it is. When someone doesn't pop their ollie or trick, you call it half-assed - NOT a 'pressure flip!!!
Rodney Mullen is the original, and re taught himself to skate switch, which for him was just another day ending in Y. Andy is a gift to the sport, because hes breathing life back into a bygone era, before the 90's. He's young, and humble, which is probably his finest trait.
The half cab impossible holds a real spot in my heart. I couldn't Ollie when I was growing up but I could to rail and a few other tricks. You give me serious Rodney Mullen vibes
Yo!!!! I'm 40 years old!!! You know we use to skate like this, right? Not the first time we've seen or done these tricks. Awesome he's bringing em back but c'mon bro? My homies and I got sponsored by our local skate shop but, we could NEVER contend with skating today. These dudes are FUCKIN AMAZING
