Which books stayed with you all through your life? Which books are on your essential-to-read list? Let me know down below and we'll talk books for your twenties (and thirties and ...) some more!

I would recommend Memoirs of a dutiful daughter by Simone de beauvoir, The autobiography of Malcolm X, Tolstoy 's work (War and peace, Anna karenina) in addition to your recommendations.

I really liked The Alchemist!! (It’s the only book from your list I’ve read 😅). Some books that have stayed with me are The Assault by Mulisch, The Shadow of the Wind and Life of Pi.

For the blokes in their 20s, I'd always recommend Senecas Letters from a Stoic, Old Man and the Sea, Fight Club, Crime and Punishment, East of Eden, The Little Prince, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea.

I would recommend Norwegian Wood to readers in their early twenties. But I have to disagree with you on the Midnight Library. Despite it's good message, I found it obvious and repetitive. Full disclosure: I am an older reader.

The 1990s were my 20’s and I was married by 1996, so I didn’t read that much, but it was the decade I found Three Men in a Boat (Not to Mention the Dog) by Jerome K Jerome, which is still a favourite; also Tales of the City by Armisted Maupin . I’d already been through the Jack Kerouac and Vladimir Nabokov phase in my late teens.

Normal people is such a good romance read ik PPL always criticize it that the characters aren't talking etc, but isn't that's how in real many people especially introverts or ppl with bad communication skills go through.its my favourite Sally Rooney book.

This was a wonderful video to share for the twenties book lovers! I read The Bell Jar in my twenties, and it has stayed with me to this day. I have Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow on my shelves and look forward to reading it (even though I'm well past my twenties) 😄. I also own The Midnight Library and really want to pick it up soon now. Thank you!

Let’s be honest: we’re still twenties in our mind, it’s just the old back that decides to be a spoilsport 🤣

By Alain de Botton I've read The School of Life: An emotional education. Great one! Indeed in my twenties I loved The Alchemist. I hope your recommendations will inspire the new generation of readers!🥰
